Over four days nobody cleaned the…read morepatient's room and trash was allowed to pile up, until I finally moved it outside the room where it sat in plain view of staff for hours --"not my job" they must all be thinking--so much for worrying about germs. At one point a tech arrived unscheduled to take some kind of a test. The patient had just moved from the bed to a chair to eat dinner and asked if the tech could come back in a few minutes. "Well, I'm here now" was the answer. We then we explained it would difficult for my mom to get back into bed for the test he replied , "I guess I will come back in a few days" and left. So what is the point of the test of it can be done in a few days? Also, how about some warning of the time it is planned so the patient and family can prepare and be ready? Not at HUMC. Way understaffed and apparently poorly trained. Here is some advice to the staff sitting at desks typing into terminals or looking at their phones--if you see a problem and you can fix it--do it, even if it isn't your job. A patient family member comes out and asks for help, don't say, "I'll find her nurse," ask these questions, "what is the problem? is there something I can help you with". And if you can do it, don't pass the buck. That is not how patient care is done. If you have to go to a hospital look at other options or make sure you have a friend or family member there to watch over you, otherwise you may spend half a day looking at trash in your room waiting for someone to respond to your call button for help. Run, don't walk away.

I drove to NJ, got my ticket stamped for free parking from the Breast Cancer Screening Center. Dropped off my images to Columbia Doctors on West 51st Street in the heart of Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall (so cool). At the end of the movie, it was a joyous experience that made me feel truly gratefully happy and cared for by Hackensack University Medical Center and Columbia Doctors/NY Presbyterian Hospital. The great news is that my Mammogram and Ultrasound was negative. AMEN

I arrived on time for my appointment , few minutes earlier. I was pretty close to the end of the packet of paperwork needed to be filled out. The doctor, Ann Mille comes in the room and starts exclaiming "No! No! no!" And continues on complaining telling me to reschedule. Angrily. I walked out, not rescheduling a neurology appointment with someone who can't control her outbursts at very least. How can someone with a temper tantrum like this be trusted with anything? She shouldn't work with the public or among people at that. I feel badly for the office staff. I couldn't imaging working under such misery.

This was my first appointment the building was hard to find it took 45 minutes to find for a 10 minute drive it should have taken. My appointment was for 3 I arrived at 2 50 was given paperwork to fill out and was told if it was not completed by 3 I would have to re schedule. I asked to speak to a supervisor was told the same thing with the supervisor having a blank look. When I was called in to see the doctor she said she was running behind that worked out I could completely fill out the paperwork. My question is why didnt the front desk ask if the doctor was running behind instead of insisting if it was not completed by I would have to te schedule? The technician came to take my BP i tried to explain my frustration another blank look. The doctor came in with an attitude her staff apparently told her I was upset. My BP 160 I also had a severe migraine that I did not share with them I am thinking I dont want this doctor or office to have my records or treat me. I took my phone out to record the conversation the d9ctor said I cannot record her. I shut my phone off offered for her to hold it do we could continue she called security she said she did not want to see me. I sat in the office for 20 minutes until Lisa told me I would not be seen. I was very frustrated and suffering from a severe migraine I did not yell or scream my BP eas 160 they told me to leave. I thought Meridian hospital owned thus group they do not they do use their doctors. I spoke with Joey at the complaint department for the hospital.I received a hone call from.Laida who said they will forward this to the administration department for the neirogly group I would be receiving a phone call. My appointment was on September 16th I called and complained on the 16th. Today is September 22nd no phone call yet. The personal at the front desk looked very unprofessional and acted very unprofessional. In all my years of going to doctors never had this issue. If a doctor cannot deal with a patient who is apparently very upset with a BP of 160 my medical history had been forwarded to them weeks ago. I would never go back there. I also am requesting all of my personal files to be returned to me. With such unprofessionalism who knows what they would do with my files. Do not go to this facility. The front desk also treated other patients with more care then me. I could not help to feel I was being discriminated against because of my gender and color.

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the treatment I received at MetroVein Centers in…read moreHackensack, NJ, under Dr. Garrison's care. What should have been a straightforward cosmetic procedure turned into a horrific experience that left me with severe burns, permanent scarring, and zero accountability from both Dr. Garrison and MetroVein Centers. I initially sought treatment for vein issues. After completing Radiofrequency Ablation procedures, Dr. Garrison assured me that my medical concerns were resolved and recommended cosmetic treatment for my spider veins--two sclerotherapy sessions and one laser session. Trusting his expertise, I agreed. I underwent a laser treatment that resulted in two severe burns on my legs. Both developed large blisters that ruptured the same day, leaking fluid. Despite following all aftercare instructions, the wounds remained open, wet, and required dressing changes multiple times per day for weeks. I had to seek emergency care at an urgent care facility, where the doctor advised me to immediately contact MetroVein Centers because my wounds were clearly the result of an improperly performed laser procedure. When I returned to MetroVein Centers that same day, the medical assistant was visibly horrified at my injuries and directly asked if Dr. Garrison had caused them. When Dr. Garrison entered the room, he looked scared, knowing something had gone terribly wrong. He provided me with bandages and medication and tried to brush it off as something that "happens." However, he knew he had made a serious mistake and promised me free future sclerotherapy sessions--clearly as an attempt to pacify me. I spent the entire summer covering my wounds, changing bandages multiple times per day, and watching my burns turn into permanent scars. Eventually, a dermatologist confirmed my scars were irreversible. When I reached out to MetroVein Centers, Dr. Garrison was suddenly dismissive and unprofessional. He initially refused to honor his promise, offering only one free session--not because he felt obligated, but because he thought I was a "nice person." This was not only insulting but a blatant refusal to take accountability. After I left the office, I received a call informing me that I would actually receive two free sessions. It was only after I mentioned consulting a lawyer that Dr. Garrison finally agreed to provide the free sclerotherapy sessions he had originally promised. I went forward based on that agreement and received two free sessions. However, after those two treatments, MetroVein Centers went back on their word and demanded payment for any further sessions. When I asked to speak with Dr. Garrison, I saw him in the office, but staff refused to let me talk to him. Instead, I received a vague call from a MetroVein representative who downplayed my burns as a "side effect"--when in reality, this was clear medical negligence. Dr. Garrison has since stopped performing cosmetic procedures at MetroVein Centers, which speaks volumes about what happened in my case. However, his actions, and the way MetroVein Centers handled this situation, should not be ignored. If you are considering MetroVein Centers, especially for cosmetic procedures, I urge you to think twice. A clinic that injures a patient, refuses to take responsibility, and tries to dismiss serious complications as routine side effects is a clinic that does not prioritize patient safety. Weeks have passed, and I have received no further communication from MetroVein Centers. While I have chosen not to pursue legal action, I refuse to remain silent. Potential patients deserve to know the truth. I have officially filed a complaint with the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners and NJ Consumer Affairs, and I encourage others to report their experiences if they have suffered similar mistreatment. MetroVein Centers failed me completely. I will never trust them again, and I strongly advise others to avoid them.
