The most ridiculous this I see here is that the Doctor cares about money. I never ever experienced a more caring generous doctor in my entire life. He is not just caring but an excellent doctor. About waiting.. People show up without appointment and complain about waiting. You want excellent service you need to wait. He is not like other doctors who consider you as a number and spend 5 minutes with you and you could come and leave quick. First off how about we keep this real Flat number one is when you qualities office and you think you have the wrong number because the receptionist answers with "Hello?" Dr. Makar has been my parents' primary care physician for years. It is comforting to know that there is a doctor that cares about them as much as I do. He and those who work in the office greet my mother with a smile every time they see her, making her feel welcome and cared for. Dr. Makar listens patiently to her concerns, and because of the relationship he has developed with her, she willingly goes to see him when she is not feeling well. Yes, there is sometimes a wait; but I get the feeling that that is a result of the office trying to help as many people as they can, often scheduling people into small blocks. I'm sure my parents were sometimes one of those last minute appointments, and I'd rather wait a little and know that there will always be someone who takes the time to see them, then have them wait for weeks on end for an open appointment. read more

This doctor is a liar and only cares about his money ! he doesn't take any responsibility for his practices and has no concern for his patients health. My uncle was a former patient for this doctor and he committed many unlawful procedures on him AND then denied everything ! i wouldn't recommend this doctor to my worse enemy !!! stay away from him "On December, 2015 I visited Dr. Maker's office regarding some pain I was experiencing on my neck. The Doctor didn't request any other test besides a basic examination. In the examination room he told me to look down and he injected 2 shots (substance unknown) between my head and neck. I was surprised because he didn't inform me that he would be giving me any shot. when I asked him what it was for, laughing he responded "Oh Nothing, this will relax your muscles on your neck" After that my pain worsen and I visited the emergency room around three days later. The Doctors in the hospital didn't have any explanation for the burning and pain I was experiencing and told me I had to return to my primary doctor, so I did. when I returned, the doctor prescribed me with Cymbalta of 60mg along with a pain relief cream and said I had to take one per day for the next six months. The pain on my neck didn't improve but I waited to see if taking it for the six months would help in some way but it didn't. I had the same burning sensation on my neck and after the six months I went back and the doctor said I had to continue another 6 months but instead of taking one Cymbalta he said I had to take two per day instead of one. A year later I had the same problem and he prescribed me with the same medication for another six months. when I went back again he said I had to take the medication for another six months addition to the year that I already had been taking it. I returned to the doctor recently in May of 2017 wanting an explanation of the pain that I continued to have despite the long treatment. The Doctor then said that I had to take Cymbalta for the rest of my life and there was no other solution. I became upset because the pain had gotten worse after the injections and I questioned him about it and he got upset.I noticed the tension getting worse so I asked for my personal medical records to go visit another doctor and he denied my access to my medical records and said that in order for me to obtain my medical records I would have to get a lawyer. The doctor then called the police to have me escorted out of the office. I got a lawyer to obtain my medical records and when I reviewed the documents the Doctor had written that he gave me the injection on the my right arm instead of my neck and head.I also visited another doctor in Beth Israel Hospital in Newark NJ and said my nerve had been damaged due to the injections that were incorrectly given to me. My new doctor said I would need surgery to resolve the problem on my head and neck and Im currently being taken off the Cymbalta pills that would take a few months to get off of to avoid any other health problems. This doctor is horrible him and this other doctor Erica all they care about a stupid 50 dollar doctor visit, I was here 2 days ago needed to get my vaccine shots done they're prices were so high I had to shop around for cheaper shots from different pharmacies finally my pharmacist gave them to me cost price, they told me pick up the shots and come back by the time I was done they're office closed so I called yesterday to tell them I'm gonna come in I got the shots they said no come tomorrow this way we will read your PPD shot and get the rest of your shots done I said okay am I paying anything they said no I said am I paying I doctors visit they said no your not so so I'm here now they wanna charge me money ERICA SAID you have to pay I told her you told me yesterday on the phone I don't have to pay she lied and said no I didn't say that... Make sure you have an appointment and you get here on time because his office is always busy (shows you how many people trust him). You might be waiting for a while so plan accordingly. Don't come here for any cosmetic procedures. They will take your money and lie and don't give you the results that they say will do. I clearly told him what my expectations were and what I envisioned. There was no legit consultation when I first went in which is strange. I was just another dollar sign to them. They should of told me that my expectations were not going to be met or were too high based on the procedure. And that the changes were going to be minimal since it is nonsurgical. Not what I wanted and they told me the results were gonna turn out to be what my desires were but NO there was no drastic changes. I feel lied to and scammed. Also, they didn't even tell me I needed to follow up with them in 2 weeks prior the procedure.. This is not a doctor he is a business man. They lie to take people's money. It was a huge mistake of mine going in, giving them profit, and paying them for something that did not work on me. I am very dissatisfied. And I have knowledge about these things because I am going to be a dermatologist. I should of done a lot research on this place first. The office looks iffy but I gave it a shot which I regret 100%. When I went in, I asked them questions about it and how long will it last because these things aren't permanent. His Wife responded with "it will last a long time because you are young" From there it should've been a red flag! It is so strange I went in and they didn't even give me any paperwork to fill out about my medical information/history before getting the procedure... What if I was allergic to the product? What if my medications that I am taking would of caused an allergic reaction. He did not even took the time to get to know me and if I have any diseases that can cause complications with the procedure.. And How would they would be able to determine that if they have no medical information about me. What kind of Office is this?? Not every procedure works on every patient and they should know that because Everyone's different. Like is he even board certified in aesthetic medicine?? My name is Rima Samo, I have been with Dr. Makar for many many years. This fine Dr. Goes out and beyond his way to help his patience,also he is always helping the needy people. He make home visits to the elderly people who cannot come to the office. I 'v always listened to the conversations of his patience while I mat the office and who ever I referred to him. All I heard is tht if "I have to save some money for wht he offers I ll save to come to him so he can take care of me". Dr. Makar does not charge many of his needy patience. As for me u dnt find doctors that do this at all these days. Answers all phone calls all the time on top of his service so he can be the helpful doctor he is. The last time I saw Dr. Makar there was a really long wait, apparently they take walk in even if you have an appointment (not sure why one would make an appointment in that case). When I scheduled an appointment for today I told the receptionist I only had an hour to wait and she said it was not a problem. Of course when I came in it was a problem... I asked the receptionist if it would only be an hour and she said she would see what she could do. She even lied to me that all the walk in patients really had appointments and came very early. After 40 minutes of pulling my leg and wasting my time I left. Dr. Makar could be great but his office staff is horrible and have no consideration for the patients. I am switching Dr.s and if you value your time and self worth you should avoid this office too. read more
