I've been a patient at Summit Ave for over 15 years, and while Dr. Cheeti is an excellent, thorough doctor, the office staff and management are unprofessional and dishonest. I was told multiple conflicting reasons why I was suddenly dropped as a patient (outstanding balance, overdue physical, insurance issues), only to later discover none of it was true--especially since my husband, with the exact same insurance, was still a patient and even got a reminder call for his physical (something they told me they "don't do"). The office manager refused to speak with me, the clerk wouldn't even give me her name, and they claimed they don't use email or fax--even for medical records. Horrible medical practice. Withheld extremely important medical information from me, especially in regards to tests results. Told me I didn't have Lyme disease despite having a positive test result and then reporting that result to the CDC. Also, told me I had a regular heart beat when I actually have sinus tachycardia and POTS. Additionally, completely ignored my positive test result for Mycoplasma pneumoniae. When I had my my records transferred to a new primary care physician I found out about all the information witheld from me. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Cheeti for many years. She is thorough, caring, and always looking to rule out any possibilities before prescribing or making any changes to your treatment. That being said it is unfortunate that the business side of this practice, the office manager and their billing team chose to present me with a bill from 2016 upon my recent visit. This was the FIRST time I was told I had a balance on my account. I had been to the office for numerous visits between that date of service in 2016 and my visit on Friday February 8th 2019; yet not once was I told I had a balance due from 2016. I had been told I owed copay for my visits at the time of the visit but no one had ever discussed a balance nor given me a statement. Yet when I arrived on Friday February 8th 2019 the receptionist gave me a copy of a bill for a deductable due from a 2016 visit. I asked what this was for and why it's dated 2016 thinking it was a mistake and she replied "no they have been sending these out this week, you have to call the billing people". When I asked to speak to the Office Manager she came out challenging me and was very rude condenscending.; I am a patient thus a customer. She said they provided a service and I owed them the money. I said if that is the case then I will no longer be a patient here and left. I called and left a message with the billing company which is a 3rd party. They called me back later Friday evening and besides not being able to understand their speech or fragmented sentences , They were unable to tell me anything other than demand payment. No proof of sending out a statement or copy of the bill. Nothing other than they claim they sent out a statement and they don't call or communicate billing with the office. If I wanted detail about the visit they are billing me for I have to call the office. The person I spoke with, whose name was Albert refused to give me the name of the company he worked for. When I hung up I called the number back and got the name. All in all it's a shame because I was comfortable and had alot of respect for Dr. Cheeti and her manner of treatment and knowledge. The business office, Office manager and billing company,; Integrity Medical Systems (doesn't seem like Integrity is the correct name since you clearly fell short of it) lost Summit Medical a patient because of their greed and inability to recognise and take ownership of clearly a billing oversight on their end. There are many practices out there with skilled Doctors who value their patients and run an efficient office. I faxed a letter to Dr Prins on Friday feb 15th and called to confirm they got it. The receptionist confirmed. It is now Tuesday February 19th at 9pm and One would think someone would call me.... but they didn't . Today is February 25th 10 days since I faxed a letter explaining my situation and discontent. I called the office since no one called me. I asked to speak with Dr. Prins and was told he was with a patient and he would call me back. Instead I get a call from Anne the office manager who was so rude and indignant. I cannot express to anyone who is reading this and thinking about using this offices services they don't care about anything but money. Anne is rude, arrogant, condescending and shouldn't be customer facing. And for Dr Prins, as a former patient not to be able to take my call and address your practices incompetence shame on you. I will make it a point to tell one person at a minimum how poorly I was treated by your practice. read more

I go to this place because of Dr. Goldfarb. He's pretty awesome, an excellent primary care physician. He has broad knowledge about everything having to do with medicine, which is what I believe everyone wants in a good general physician. Cool guy, funny, plain-spoken, not an arrogant dick like so many doctors I know. I see another review on this page complaining about wait times, etc. They appear to have streamlined things because I have experienced those issues, but not for a few years now. Dr. Kalpana Cheeti,is by far one of the nicest, informative, preventive, Doctors I have ever went to. I have never had a problem getting an appointment if i was sick within a reasonable time. Dr. Prins was my primary care physician for more than 20 years. I must have waited to see someone for 100 hours in that time. My sister came on with me once and told him that if she treated her patients way he treats his they treated his they would pee on the floor and bite each other. I generally don't like doctors, but I too am a huge fan of Dr. Goldfarb. Much appreciate his straightforward, honest, not talking down to you approach. .... It's how I would expect family or a friend to talk to me. Oh! and that I haven't waited longer then 5 minutes for my appointment in many years is another plus. read more
