If you're a new patient looking for an allergist, don't bother…read more I've been trying to set up an appointment with Dr. Michelis since June, but due to her busy schedule, the earliest they could get me an appointment on a weekend was August. I went ahead and scheduled it anyway because I was in no rush for the allergy test. Plus, she had two 5-star reviews on Yelp! That was promising enough for me. Two days before my appointment, the Medical Secretary Aricia (who's an absolute sweetheart) called and said an emergency came up and Dr. Michelis had to cancel. I completely understand, it happens, so I rescheduled for a Saturday in September. September comes along. A week before my appointment, Aricia called me saying they had to cancel again, but Dr. Michelis said that she'd open up her schedule on a weekday afternoon to take me in at a time that she didn't have any other patients (no one else would be there, I wouldn't have to sit and wait, etc.). Reluctantly, I requested a half day at my full-time job to accept the appointment that they so kindly accommodated me to schedule. Got the half day approved at work - everything was fine and dandy. ONE DAY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT (today), Aricia calls. Of course, to yet again but not surprisingly, cancel. Don't get me wrong - I'm an extremely understanding person, but I have zero patience for doctors who have no regard for their patients and their time. Thankfully, I called another allergist in my network and she was able to schedule an appointment with me tomorrow afternoon so my half day won't be going to waste.

Probably the best doctor I've seen. What frustrates me most about most doctors is the small amount…read moreof time they take to listen and come up with a proper diagnosis. Dr. Michelis spends at least 10 minutes talking to her patients, taking in every bit of information to make the best diagnosis. Not to mention she's the ONLY doctor to apologize for being late to an appt. Nice helpful staff as well.

I never leave negative reviews for restaurants but as this is a doctors office, I believe other…read moreparents deserve to know what to expect before they go. I wish I knew how terrible my experience would be and saved the heartache. First and foremost the office is dirty, from the reception area to each of the rooms. When the nurse weighed our child, she stripped him entirely which is not normal (they usually leave the diaper on) and the nurse did not put down a sterile napkin or anything! Disgusting. The actual awful part- This was our 3 day post hospital discharge check up, so my newborn was 5 days old. The doctor comes in and looks at my baby and rather and answering our questions asks me for the bottle to feed him... she spent the entire visit feeding my baby and telling me that he has nipple confusion and I should NOT even try breastfeeding because it's not worth it. What type of doctor tells a first time mom not to try breastfeeding? It was the most discouraging thing I heard. Moreover, I had a list of questions to ask as a first time mom and the doctor just left and never came back. She just left and went to see another patient in the next room.... the lack of bedside manner is appalling. This could have been just this doctor, but the office is dingy and unclean and the staff have poor customer service- just don't go!

The staff here is always friendly and helpful! I don't need to visit the doctor often but they…read morestill remember me and genuinely care how me and my family are doing. They have even worked with me when I was having issues with my insurance. It's comforting to know the staff here actually cares about my wellbeing. They always make me feel better! Plus they're pretty quick about fitting in walk ins. I know if I wake up sick I will be helped shortly after arriving. Grateful they're right down the block from my house!

They forgot to conduct tests and lab exams and when I pointed it out they made me come again and ordered another lab exam. First they said that it was their error and I would not have to pay anything extra but when I had two lab bills they ignored me and refused to reimburse me. It was frustrating and I will never go here again and do not recommend this office.

AVOID at all costs!…read more The first warning sign should've been that I was able to get a same hour appointment. The second warning sign should've been that the front entry to the building was in disrepair and I fell and injured my knee. The final straw SHOULD'VE been when a process server was attempting to serve the doctor while I sat in an empty waiting room -- but I was desperate. I went to Anna Lavotshkin's offices for a simple ailment in November of 2014. All I needed was a quick antibiotic and to be sent on my way. My GP couldn't accommodate me in a pinch so I got stuck going here. Right off the bat, Anna Lavotshkin was pushing to give me a physical. Ummmm no. I told her I had a GP and had had a recent physical, but he couldn't accommodate me. Luckily, after an uncomfortable conversation I was ready to get out of there. The worst of this was related to billing. I did not receive a bill for her services until MONTHS after the fact. (7 or 8 months, for the record) They do not accept cards at all, so I cut a check for the balance IN FULL through my bank account online and had it mailed to their offices. The check was cashed by her immediately. A few weeks later, I received a bill in the mail again. I called the office and they had no record of the check - they asked me to provide a copy of it. So while my statement is showing that the check cleared, I now have to pay a $10 to send them a copy of the cashed check. What a joke.
