She was great with our newly diagnosed Asthmatic 3 -year-old. The only downfall was the wait. We were new patients, appointment was for 2:30 and we were not seen until 6:30, left the office at 7. Also she's only in the office on Mon,Weds,Fri from 1-7. It was a little discouraging and if the MD and MA weren't so nice we definitely would have just walked out. Next time I'll just have to make an appointment for the very 1st one of the day.

Once he is in the office with you he takes his time to answer all your questions and make sure you are completely informed of your health. Any reservations or concerns I have when I walk in are addressed completely by the time I walk out of his office doors. Not only that but he also has several specialists that come into the office throughout the week to accommodate your schedule. His staff for the most part is very helpful and friendly, and even offers an on site lab to help expedite your care. The only reason I only gave four stars is because of the wait time in the office. Though I understand that he spends a significant amount of time with you once you are in the room. Expect to be in the office for a few hours.

Last year, a colonoscopy didn't reveal the source of severe abdominal pain, so she told me to "go to the ER." No further instruction, so I insisted on an official note from her. A CT scan revealed diverticulitis, easily treatable with antibiotics and antispasmodics. Recently, I've suffered WEEKS of paralyzing cramping and diaherrea, leaving me fatigued, dehydrated and unable to go out. The tests came back negative for parasites, etc. She literally waved her hand dismissively and said it's all "in your head," and that I was "too anxious." I was stunned to hear this from a medical doctor who's not, let's say, a shrink. Now I have to find a new gastro doc, and you should, too!

Apparently they have an office policy that they implemented last January that says no patient can change doctors because it's seen as doctors stealing patients from other doctors in the practice. They even spoke with the doctor I said I didn't feel comfortable seeing again and the other female doctor about my situation and they decided that I had to keep the same doctor. I understand each office can have their own policies but this one seems a little extreme. Just a warning: Westcare Medical Primary Care places doctors ego's over patient's comfort.

However, since they have been managed by Mount Sinai about a year ago, it has been awful. You can not speak with a receptionist in the office. All calls are directed to an answering service and they do not call back. If you have a billing issue, you can not get in touch with anyone. I had to dial the emergency prompt in order to get someone to call me back. Even at that, they don't call back. I went in for testing and they did not call me back for over two weeks with the results. The office is completely disorganized and I don't even trust them with my records so I'm leaving. It is really frustrating.

They are not only the best group of physical therapists I have ever come across, but they are a lot of fun to be around. The only negative is that one of the women who works the front desk is a pain to deal with. But you don't go there to deal with the people at the front desk, you go there for therapy.
