Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. Best of luck to those looking for a pcp as I will be as well.

I guess the prestige of this hospital is the reason why this Director is so arrogant that she forgotten why she is there. I guess the perspective to save lives is not within her reach anymore. We've seen a few different doctors (sometimes we aren't able to see his PCP) and everyone is very knowledge, cordial and kind. The nurses are all great and attempt to calm my son down who get a a bit nervous as he's only 2.5 (he started seeing his doctor at 18 months when we moved to NYC). At times during afternoon visits when they're busier the wait time can be a little long but that's fine. We are patient and things work out.

Now it's been a few weeks later and I get a bill that they ran the regular preventative care test but they also ran other test too that I never asked for. So now I have to pay out of pocket for this visit. It's annoying cause you think they would understand when you say you just want the basic test that the insurance would cover. But I guess not. At the actual appointment, my daughter was asked to sign a waiver -- without it being explained to her -- that removed our ability to submit an international insurance claim. When I raised this, the office gave vague, shifting explanations for why they wouldn't support an international claim, despite the fact that we'd already paid Dr. Abroon directly, so there was no financial risk to the practice either way. After reading other reviews describing billing issues -- including patients alleging they were charged both directly and through insurance for the same services -- this pattern is concerning. I'd recommend other patients read the waiver carefully before signing and clarify insurance handling in writing before booking
