He is knowledgeable and understands how to talk to patients. We recently had an awful scare and was referred to a terrible cardiologist after our hospital discharge, thankfully Dr. Kaplowitz recommended a new group and they successfully treated my husband.

His office was the only office to discover my mother's Thyroid cancer by doing those tests you say are unnecessary. NO ONE else found my mother cancers and he caught it early my mother was treated with iodine pill and survived. As for me Dr Kaplowitz found things with me that a lot of other Dr didn't find and due to him finally finding what was wrong I got the proper treatmwnt. I have been misdiagnosed for so many years until I got to him. He discovered I have chrons when I was been treating for Fibromyalgia which I don't have. My heart conditim he found were I was being told it was anxiety. Those unnecessary tests those other patients wrote about let's see when cancer pops up and when other Doctors will find it. It will be too late. I put my life in the hands of Dr Kaplowitz anytime.

I have responsibility for my health too, it's a partnership. I can discuss ANY topic with Dr. Rieger and she is more than happy to address my questions and anticipate any concerns with any recommended follow up procedures, tests or prescriptions. She is understanding, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and always willing to educate me on valuable information to improve my health and (wait for it), WITHOUT a condesending tone. Dr. Rieger is respectful, professional, and reliable. I always receive a personal call from Dr. Rieger within a couple of days of my appointment to discuss the results of any tests. You're reading this review because you want to find a reliable, knowledgeable doctor...look no further than Dr. Jill Rieger. Book yourself an appointment and start partnering with a great doctor that's just as interested in improving your health as you are.

Honestly, she is probably super knowledgeable, I believe she has 21+ years experience, however I…read moreagree with one of the previous reviews below- to be an internist or PCP- you really have to be extra compassionate and a whole lotta patient. Unfortunately I didn't see this doctor embody either of these. She came in like a storm and just went through my chart on the computer, not really having the patience or compassion that I was seeking. I don't think I finished a sentence the entire visit. The women's center was a great concept 5-6 years ago, when it first opened, unfortunately the entire place now looks super dated and run down in such a short period, all of the 4 elevators didn't work for most of the morning and they're located on the 12th floor, the receptionists ate their lunches at the check in desk and everyone just seems a bit miserable. I'd suggest trying any of the many other doctors available in this city. Also- I went to a ENT specialist a few weeks prior, also at Weil Cornell, and was sent 2 different emails asking about "my experience" I've strangely received none about this visit with Dr Rieger- I'm super curious on why that is. Best of luck to those looking for a pcp as I will be as well.

I went back a few weeks later for back pain and she seemed very rushed and dismissive. She said she was going to refer me to an orthopedist , I said I went to a few already. She continued to give me a referral for an orthopedist on told me to make an appointment. When I got home I looked at the referral and it was for and arm orthopedist, not even for back pain. I now found out that she left the practice and did not give any information as to where she was going. I had not intended on going back to her but my friend who had been a long time patient of hers was not even given information as to where she was going.

She has no warmth - even when she smiles she comes off as cold and super private. She does not call after her strict hours or on weekends -- A few summers ago, she was aware of when I was extremely sick - and I was out of town , and in pain - it was impossible to get through the Northwell Health phone line, and when I did, she was not there, and I don't recall a prompt call back. She does not come in to the office every day. Most recently I required an urgent fill of asthma inhaler as i was out of town and had forgotten mine. It was mid week and plenty of time for it to get done on business hours. I never received the prescription or the call back. Needless to say I'm looking for a new doctor. I wish her well, but I never felt the same in return.
