Called the office a number of times and never received a return call. Went to the office hoping to see the doctor and was told he was leaving and couldn't see me and I would get an antibiotic. Asked why there never was a return call and he said he was having issues with the phone. Tried the office again the following day and when I walked in the male receptionist told me did I think I was entitled walking in and since I haven't been there in 2 years what did I expect. Needless to say I walked out after being insulted and reprimanded and found another doctor and I was diagnosed with bronchitis. Dr Buono is a wonderful doctor but it's impossible to get past his rude male receptionist. Needless to say, due to the incredibly insolence of the male receptionist there are 3 less patients for that office. He needs to have a course in patient etiquette and proper and polite discourse.

They also told me to fast just in case they drew blood so it was nice to speed things up. Dr asked questions about my lifestyle and relaxed me a bit with easy conversations as I get nervous at Doctors offices. I'm new to the area so he recommended other practices (dentist & obgyn). His staff was very friendly and gave me the cool places to eat around town. They really have a family type of atmosphere. Overall, super happy with the experience and I'm so glad I attended this practice.

Dr. Ira Steinmetz is a Rare Gem in Doctors. My husband and…read moreI shuffled through doctors in Brooklyn to find him. Dr. Steinmetz is just a caring, understanding, well-mannered, humble, and gracious person. I have to say person, because he has to be such a person first to be a doctor with those qualities. Not to be ignored is his staff. His staff is just as courteous and understanding. I read reviews putting them down - but I beg to say, the person writing such a review, doesn't quite have an understanding of what to expect from an office staff in such a delicate yet fast-moving environment, attending to phones, patients, and any requests of the doctor... May Jehovah God bless Dr. Steinmetz and his staff, giving all of them good health and long life so they may take care of us who need them.
