I've been to lavish nails many times. Recently I had the worst experience. I went to wax my hands.. she applied hot wax in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF HAIR, and pulled IN THE DIRECTION OF HAIR . Which is ridiculous. The hair got cut, and she tried to pluck it with a plucker. Since plucker takes time, she applied wax the same way again thrice. I also think they've been using cheap wax, my underarms became very dark and patchy instantly after waxing. It's been 4 days I'm still having pain, I got a horrible rash. I used to like Lavish. Their services were very reliable. However, the last few times I've been over the last year, my services have been hit or miss. The last time I went was an early Friday morning and like me, there were many people trying to get their nails done early. I sat for about 10 minutes soaking my dip off but, it wasn't coming off fast enough so, I was just left to sit while they worked on everyone else. After a half an hour, I finally got someone to work on my nails. Then, after everything was filed down a man (maybe the owner?) took over to do my nails. He filed my nails so hard that at least half of my nails bled. He continued on bragging about how my dip was filed so thin and natural. If he would have asked, I would have said I like it thick because I work with boxes everyday. So, of course, 3 days later they cracked and chipped. I will never be back. I found a new place and my nails were flawless with the dip for 4 weeks. Do not waste your time on this inconsistent place!! read more

Really nice and beautiful salon with great staff! I had a shellac pedicure and my best friend had a manicure...AND we had our service done next to each other so we were still able to hang out and chat... it is AWESOME! This place cut the bottom of my foot with the corner of a foot scrubber, told them as my foot was bleeding and they didnt do anything. I have a permanent scar where they cut my foot. I will never go back. read more

I tried very hard to like this place because everyone in my community was raving about it. I don't like it. We were there for mani and pedis and they took a long time to get to us. It wasn't even busy at the time. Finally when they got to us, the lady who did my nails acted like speedy mcspeederton to push me out the door. The massage she gave me ended hurting more than relieving. I was also pissed she was the one doing my nails because I've had her her do mine before at Bothell Nails and she was on the phone the whole time (while working on my nails!!) I have been to my fair share of nail places for my acrylic fills. The man who worked on me created a beautiful almond shape. They even stayed open late to finish and made sure I was totally dry before heading out. It's family-run, which gives it a really nice intimate feel. My daughter had a school dance to go to and was given a gift from her aunt to get her nails done so I made an appointment for 7pm as I knew they would be very busy as all my daughters friends were also getting their nails done. We arrived 5 mins early and sure enough the place was packed with teenage girls and their moms. I overheard another mom apologize to her two girls that she didn't make an appointment. I was unable to stay but before I left my daughter was told she was in line to be next. I asked how long it would take and they said an hour, so I timed my return for an hour. I got back and everyone is either soaking their feet or getting their nails done and there was no one waiting. My daughter however was sitting there still feet soaking and nothing had gotten started or done on her. So it was apparent to me that they had taken walk-in customers and took advantage of my daughter because I wasn't there with her and they knew that a young girl wouldn't complain. This type of business practices of taking reservations but ignoring the reservations and take the walk-ins first. Two hours after my daughters reservation she was finally done. Too bad there is no time to do the rest of our errands. read more

K, so I came to this place midday on a Thursday for a full set. First I want to say that the signage & decor of the nail salon is extremely nice but one can feel a little claustrophobic during their rush hours. Anyway, I asked for clear tip but I felt really pressured into getting shellac for the color. The man who seated me asked if I wanted shellac (no), some random girl asked me if I wanted shellac (no) then the woman doing my nails asked me if I wanted shellac before I was seated, when I was picking my design, before I washed my hands & before she put the nail polish on my nails. How many times can I say NO?!. I was very firm on saying no just like they were very firm in convincing me that I needed it for $15 extra. This full set is already $25 & that's not including the design that I wanted. The lady that was doing my nails asked me what design I wanted but every time I chose a design, from the web, her response was "oh, you actually want that?" (If you add the occasional eye roll, you'll understand how she posed the question). I ended up changing my mind about 3 different times for the colors & designs then ended up settling on a boring white color with 2 in-store designs...eww! Also I asked for a design on at least 2 fingers on each hand. Guess how many I actually got?! ONE DESIGN, ON ONE NAIL PER HAND! It's a nice salon with a relaxed kind of vibe but I wouldn't go as far as to recommend it. read more

This place does decent nails but I refuse to give them 5 stars because appointments mean nothing to them. I don't even know why I bother, if I'm always going to have to wait another half an hour or more. I understand 5 to 15 mins, but 30 or more than what's the point of an appointment? Everyone was very friendly here. I got here with my friend for a mani-ped. I like the foot spa was covered with a plastic so should be clean. Got a good massage on my leg and hand. My friend was fine but when one of the gal was doing my cuticles, she pushed too hard and too far so I was bleeding a little. Unfortunately her nail polish was coming off in less than a week and mine just about a week. Normally mine would last almost two weeks so I'm not sure why this was so short. I might give it one more try and see how it goes before we stop coming here. read more

This is a great nail place. They really try hard with service and getting the client's names right. The place is really clean. I see them take the tools out of a sterilized bag. It is also the best priced out of all the Bothell Salons. I have gotten wax, mani, and pedi here. If I chip a nail they always fix it at no charge. The pedicure polish does not last over 2 weeks, but that is fine with me. I always ask for Shellac brand for the nails, the other brands don't last as long, but come in more colors. read more

Do not go here for SNS (powder/gel dip) nails. Absolutely atrocious. They have no idea what they are doing and have destroyed my nails. I have been getting SNS for about 4 years now but at a different salon. My normal salon was closed and I decided to give this place a shot since I've had a pedicure there before and it was decent. The nail tech spent over 70 mins dipping, Sanding, re dipping, re sanding my nails. They were rolling hills of gel and the color was not the same light pink I wanted because she insisted applying an orange quick dry over it (never in my life seen this before at other salons that use SNS). Toward the end she pulls out a portable light to put my nails under. With SNS, you do not use an ultraviolet light to dry the nails like you would with gel nails. When I ask her why she was doing that she started to become visibly irritated with me. At this point, I knew I was not going to let her finish and I politely asked her to remove all the gunk she had applied. She said "no" and just kept applying this orange quick dry that bow made my nails an odd sunset orange color (not light pink). I asked her to please stop and then another nail tech came over and I showed her the disaster that had just occurred. I asked her to please remove the gel and that I wasn't happy. She then waved me to check out and try to charge me for the $45 SNS!! I was floored. After a heated exchange I paid only for the pedicure and left. I had to run home and submerge my fingernails in acetone to remove the bulbous, light bulb looking heaps of SNS for over 30 mins. My natural nails look awful now thanks to this place. Unless you're going here for a very basic mani and pedi, I would advise going elsewhere. read more

Henry does my shellac and always goes above and beyond. I also love that everything is clean and organized. Be sure to call ahead though because it is busy! This was the worse place I've ever got my nails done. I had an appointment to get my nails done on my hour lunch break.. Which i was even questioning cuz I wasn't sure if I would have time.... but the lady on the phone insisted a hour was more then enough... Annnnnd sure enough it wasnt. I now had to COME BACK after work,to get my nails painted. There menu says 35 full set gel... They tried to charge me,50... I said no here's 35 and ill come back to paint i guess... & left. I came back and wanted my nails painted and they were trying,to yell me i didnt pay for the shelack (spelled wrong I'm sure) and the guy states yelling at my friend and I, same with. The lady they was doing our nails to being with, the lady tried to say she told us the price blah blah blah ( she 100% did not...) In fact she was rude and told me,to HURRY up to sit somewhere else for someone else to finish my nails...she realized she wasn't gonna have enough time to complete my nails. Anyways I have never ever been treated SO badly... I would NEVER EVER recommend anyone going here... I downloaded this app JUST to write this review so hopefully it helps everyone out..
