I decided to have a spur of the moment pedicure as I was walking past Lavish Nails, after getting my haircut next door, and was happy I did. The staff were welcoming and very nice. The gentleman who did my pedicure was awesome. I got regular nail polish and it is lasting very well. I really enjoyed the massage chairs. Usually they don't feel all that great but theirs are a nice intensity. The prices ares t bad either especially in comparison to other places. In the area? Check Them Out! read more

This is definitely my go-to nail salon! I've never had to book ahead since they always welcome me as a walk-in. I treated myself to a gel mani & pedi, and let's just say the pedi leaves me floating on air. Dianna is a nail artist genius-- I told her I wanted Valentine's-themed nails, and she whipped up the cutest cherry heart design I've ever seen! She's fun, sweet, and super creative. I'm giving 2 stars for 2 reasons...the deluxe spa pedicure I received was just Ok, however I asked for my eyebrows arched and it was the worst I have ever gotten. I entered the room and the towel on the table was nasty. The lady said it was a stain but it looked like blood. The wax job was horrible. I went to pay and a customer who was serviced before me was actually complaining about the horrible job they did on her eyebrows. I honestly use to enjoy coming here but the service has gone down. After leaving, whatever chemical the lady used to clean my sensitive face caused bumps in between my brows. This place is too expensive for the poor service. read more

Extremely unprofessional, rude and scammers Please save yourself from going here! Had been going to this place for two years even after moving from Suffolk! Came yesterday to get my gel polish change and I kept communicating to the nail tech that the French wasn't even and just looked messy, he didn't seem to understand and just made it thicker and more uneven so the person next to him asked me what was wrong. I told him again and asked if it would be easier to do a solid color so they did white and I was upset but knew I would live! When I went up to the front the manager said nothing after watching the interaction so I left and when I got in the car i realized how TERRIBLE of a job this was. It was thick, uneven, and had gel polish still on the sides of my toe so I went back in and approached the manager. She said she saw nothing wrong with it and said they could fix it the next day since I didn't have time to stay even longer. I came today telling them tech in the front the issue and his immediate response is that he see's nothing wrong with it and I start pointing out everything wrong and so he calls the manager and she says that they will only be changing the color on the gel polish change instead of the French that I came to get the day before and that instead of paying the $15 difference I would have to pay for the service again for their mistake.. extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. read more

Lavish Nail Spa - Bad gel polish job and not what I asked for - Nail Salons Near Me - Suffolk, Virginia

1st time visit to this salon. Greeted upon entrance and not busy. I got the deluxe pedicure with gel, a basic manicure with gel, and a acrylic toe repair. The atmosphere was good and they were friendly. The pedicure was just ok. I had better. My nails look ok but some part of the nails are not covered on sides. It cost $118.00 total. Once i arrived home i noticed the the toe repair was coming off. So back to the nail salon to get it repaired. The man who repaired my toe did an awesome job with the repair. I am not a loyal customer to any salon. I go as a treat! I suggest that you try the salon for yourself to see if the reviews are true. This was just my experience! read more

This was my first time here as I'm looking for a new spa since relocating and I was very disappointed with the service received compared to what I paid. I did the deluxe pedicure which was $58 and included paraffin wax, hot stone massage, and towels. The entirety of the pedicure was done in 30 minutes. Everything was very rushed and not relaxing at all. I then did a basic manicure which was $25 and she was done in 10 minutes. I do not get polish on my toenails or nails so I can't speak to the quality of that. As I stated above, everything was rushed and I feel like for the price I paid, the service I received was not worth it. I won't be returning. read more

I went to this salon for many years, the one nail tech that I went to move, and I asked the employers if she will be returning, I was ignored and asked to take a seat. I have not experienced any rude behavior until I asked for a particular nail tech. If you are looking for a great scrub and clean on your pedicure, do not go here. I also asked if I could just change my gel polish. They told me $32 and when I did not want the service, I sat for an additional 45 minutes waiting on my fill in while the employee scrolled on their phones. I will never return to this establishment because I do not feel I was treated as a loyal customer. If you decide to take the chance and receive services from this establishment, good luck! Sidenote, if you do not dress to their liking, you will be treated as such! read more

I went in today for a basic pedicure, which was already $40. The guy who did my service took maybe 5 minutes for both feet and then started to prep my toes for polish. I asked if I could get the grater because my feet were still rough and I was informed that it was an extra $5. Since when does a basic service that comes with pedicures cost extra..? What am I paying $40 for? A foot soak and a two minute file? They don't even use pumice stones here anymore, they use those really cheap yellow sponges that do absolutely nothing for the bottom of your feet. $40 is already a hefty price for a basic pedicure. After I got the grater I just told him I didn't want any polish, paid my $40, and left. I have been using this salon for a while because it's right down the street from me but I'm going to have to look elsewhere. This was such a scam of a service and I can't justify paying that much money for a soak. Super disappointed. read more

I've have gone here a couple of times and it's a really good nail spa. The service is always amazing and they really take their time. They are always friendly. And they are NEVER to busy to service you. You might have a long wait but if you are willing to wait you will be serviced. They have an extensive list of colors and packages. I hate when I try to go somewhere else Because I always end up regretting it and going right back. The only disadvantage is that it is a small nail spa and you sometimes feel like you are on top of someone else. The decor is also a little outdated. Not at all like the newer fancy nail spas that are popping up but the service is definitely better. If they took a weekend to paint and re design the decor it would definitely be a 5 star place read more

I want to start this off by saying that I do NOT like to complain, and I've never written a bad review before. I respect talents of all kinds and don't judge "hard" work, but this time I will make an exception. We reserved a time for me and the rest of my family to each have one thing done, and we reserved a time MANY days in advance. They had me and two of my other family member's wait for nearly an hour, and let walk-ins go ahead of us multiple times. While the lady was doing my nails, I tried a few times to spark friendly conversation, and each time she was condescending and short. I told her that I am a pianist and don't ever get my nails all done up, and she responded with "yeah I can tell..." and would continue to make me feel like I didn't know how to take care of myself. She made the experience felt very rushed, and it was actually quite painful having her coat my nails in alcohol immediately after cutting my cuticles to the nubs. That's not even the worst part... She did my french tips and asked if I liked them. She didn't give me time to complain, but I also felt too frustrated to even say anything, so I said sure. They honest to god look like they were done by a toddler, and every time I look at my nails, I feel like crying. This is EXACTLY why I never get my nails done! Being hardcore judged while someone burns my cuticles and horribly does my nails is not my kind of fun, especially since we had to pay for it! I'm never going back there, and advise that you don't either. However, if you want to spend stupid amounts of money just to be insulted and in pain, go ahead. 0/10, do not recommend. read more

The only reason this review is even getting three stars is because of Ann and the AMAZING spa pedicure she gave me She was not short on the spa portion of the pedicure and she took her time to massage and exfoliate my legs and feet. SO appreciative. Other than that, I am completely disappointed and frustrated with the lack of recognition and awareness the staff has with cross contamination of objects and instruments (not changing gloves, touching other customers objects and returning to another customer and then handling those instruments and touching live tissue . Thank goodness the hot stone portion of my spa pedicure was before my neighbor ‍ Healthcare professionals Dan anyone who deals with infection or contamination control, is watching you. Definitely taking not. And if you want social distancing. Completely NON existent. You might as well feel like your seated on a full American Airlines flight. And if you ask why there is no distancing, you will just be told "we're all seeing our masks" ‍ My manicure was horribleeee He filed my nails down to death, cut me while cutting my cuticles, and sloppily tried to "cleanup". Didn't ask me another shape or anything. Just did it. My nails and skin will clearly take some time to recover A shame that the visit started on a high and ended on such a low note. And I've found better quality for cheaper. Not worth the price. Will not be returning. read more

I don't really expect nor want to see my nails breaking off a couple days after getting them done.... This is my second time coming here (10/23) and I was really excited because I brought a friend with me. One of my pinky nails broke as the nail tech was about to finish up, but it was fixed! Overall my right hand nails are shorter than my left ones, and was told the little chip in my right middle nail was fine. The nail tech was on the phone with her boyfriend for the majority of the appointment...not really professional in my opinion. On the 26th, my right middle finger nail broke off and I was upset not going to lie (ngl) lol I was going to go back but then the next day! My friends pinky nail broke! Excuse my language, but the f*ck? (My nails have been longer than these and they have never broken within 3/4 days (working or not) I expect at least week 1/2 to two ) Went to a her place and got the nail fixed and it looks so good May give them one more chance but not sure Don't appreciate having to go back and get them fixed days later read more

I go other places and pay $55 for a full set.. i had one broken nail that was $3 to replace.. which is fine.. but they charged $8 for my length And my nails are short.. then they charged me another $8 for French tip when the nails itself is a white tip that need I remind you I already came in with for them just to put acrylic over.. I asked the guy to use clear acrylic and he proceeded to use pink and said it look more natural... when I ASKED for clear, how are you going to tell me what I like. Very well and put together and service is superb. Price list is clearly displayed and the serve is very professional.

First things first, call ahead before you go unless you've made an appointment. I called around 9:00am and they didn't open until 9:30. I was happy someone answered to tell me that they do in fact take walk-ins and that I was more than welcomed to show up ASAP. This worked out perfect for me as I wanted to get in, relax, and not have to wait. Around 9:30 (their opening time) the shop was pretty busy, but not onvercrowded considering social distancing. All staff and guests had face coverings and hand washing was encouraged throughout your visit. The service was amazing! I got the signature pedicure and gel manicure. This came out to $76 which is exactly what it stated on their website. Often at other places I am told a different price than listed and come to find out there were hidden fees added in for cut downs, shape, etc. that I had no idea about. This shop is very up front. Although a little pricy compared to most, this shop has the quality to match its price, truly. This was truly a relaxing spa day and a great start to my birthday weekend. P.S. They only accept tips in cash and offer a 5% discount if you pay in cas as well! They do have an ATM on site that only charges .50 to use. This shop is close to home so I will definitely be back! read more

Rude technician, Kelly got upset with me for expressing my concerns regarding her job, I asked to please cover all the gaps with acrylic powder as she kept missing spots, she got upset raised her voice, got up from her chair "this is how we do things here" and started speaking her native language to a nail tech. I politely requested a different tech to take over, entire situation was very uncomfortable, as a customer I feel like I am within my rights to express my concerns and have them remedied. There was absolutely no need to behave this way. I was charged $65 for a full set. Definitely an overpriced salon. read more

I was a little skeptical about coming here, since my original tech moved back in February. I tried this salon twice after that and the results were disappointing. However after trying to find other salons in the area I decided to go back to my ole'faithful. And I was I pressed. The check in system is digital now, and the greeting was very welcoming. Even for it being busy. The salon closes at 8 I came in around 7:15 and asked if it was too late for a full set and the manager told me no, and if I wanted a pedicure he'd let me get that done as well. Which was great because I didn't want my job to be rushed. Now let me tell you about Nina, the nail tech! She was amazing and took her times on my nails. If she didn't like how the acrylic was placed on my nails she took all of it off and reapplied! (Yassssss) rather than placing more and trying to fix it! My nails are smooth, and thin. Which is a plus!! I will be returning ! read more

I was there on June 3rd around 10:00 am in the mornin. The tech I had was nut the friendliest but I could deal with that. But when I went to tip her I gave her a $10 bill and asked her to give me back $5. She took the whole $10 and put it in her pocket and walked off. I was going to let that go but when I went to pay the lady laid my debit card on the counter like she didn't want to touch my hand. So I said to her, I handed you my card in your hand and I expected you to give it back to me in my hand and not lay it on the counter. Her response was "oh well". Snd she turned around as if she was dismissing me. I will not return if this is how they do business. There's no reason to be rude and nasty but then expect people to patronize your business. I will definitely not be going back & will share my experience with everybody I know that goes there! read more

Rather pricey, but my pedicure was well done and relaxing. The spa is always busy but quiet, and the techs are friendly.

Came here on a Monday night and it was packed so make appointments because it's a popular place. When we walked in we were asked what we wanted and told them we wanted 2 pedicures. My friend and I were told it would be a 45 minute wait but with appointment they could make it only 30 minutes. So we took the appointment and walked around the plaza and looked at some of the other stores until it was time for us to get our pedicures. They had a good selection of colors and gel polishes. And the place was really so cute and relaxing. The girl who took me back and was doing my pedicure was quiet but very sweet. She had told me she's only been there a few months because she's finishing school. But she did a good job and had good service. I've been so overdue for a pedicure so it felt great. Some things I didn't love were their massage chairs they just kneaded way too hard. Also, when we were leaving we left a 20% tip ( you can only tip with cash) and the lady who took the payment made some comment about paying more cash which was off putting. I'm all for tipping but if as a business you go out of your way to make it harder to tip be happy don't make a snood comment about wanting more cash. All in all it was a good experience and I would give this place another place if i lived in the area. read more

It's been over a year since I've been able to treat myself with a mani/pedi. Due to COVID and being prego, I had to take precautions. After spending some time at One Life fitness in Chesapeake Square, I decided to do some research for a highly reviewed nail salon. Thanks to Yelp, I found this jewel that was only 10 minutes from the gym. And after reading previous posts, I called first to make an appointment. I let them know I was 15 mins away. "No problem, come on in". Appointment booked that easy for a spa mani/pedi with gel. There was a long wait but I'm glad I called ahead. I was seated immediately. Masks are mandatory for staff and customers. Tony (mani) and V (pedi) were awesome. You never know what to expect when you visit a nail salon and are not sure who to ask for. I was very lucky! What I appreciated was V taking the time to explain procedures. Even though I'm no newbie to pedi's, it was still nice to know SHE knew why she applied creams and WHAT they actually do. There is a discount if you pay in cash and there is an ATM inside with only a .5 fee. That's almost unheard of! I guess they really want you to pay cash. :) Great atmosphere, clean, professional and courteous staff. I would recommend this nail salon and highly recommend Tony (mani) and V for (pedi). Thank you for a wonderful experience post COVID and pregnancy. read more

I typically get a spa pedicure and have wonderful results. There is one particular older women who is just not as qualified as the rest. Somehow for the last few visits, I seem to get her. The first time smeared my toe nail. Second time, rushed, no foot or leg message which is part of package. Recent time cut into side of my nail and it hurts like hell. Funny thing is I ask them not to scrub my sole and I clip my own nail. I guess she just wanted something to cut smh. I hate to ask for someone else, but have to after she sawed my toenail and the polish application is amateurish at best.
