I went to Lavender Spa to get a full body deep tissue massage. May is very patient and friendly. She always let me know that some places are gonna hurt and uncomfortable. After the massage, I was dizzy due to sudden movement such as getting out of bed. May makes sure I lie back down to get better and gives me an extra 5 minutes of hand and head massage! She also offers me sweets and chocolate after that and even offers me to drive back to my hotel to make sure I am fine. May is the no.1 sweetest and kindest therapist I have seen so far! If I could give this place negative stars I would . I went to this place a couple weeks ago for a foot massage. I was a walk in. The lady who seemed like the owner took me to a room for a foot massage and then in the middle of it stopped to talk to another customer who she heard walk by. My thought is don't you have extra help ?!. On top that after I paid in cash, she flat out asked me for a tip! . I ended up giving her a tip 10% because I felt pressured and uncomfortable . I wasn't even going to leave her a tip because I didn't think the massage was that great and the fact that she got up in the middle of the massage to talk to another customer ! . Also asking for a tip excuse me when you charge $60 for a 1 hour foot massage and I got the vibe that she was the owner you don't deserve a tip. I'll never go back to this place again. This place is not worth the money. Go up the street to breeze spa and foot massage. I walked in for a foot massage and asked 3 times if they could do my hands as well. She asked how long? And made it seem like they could not take me. So I said 30 minutes. She took me back to a body massage room and was surprised to see me in the chair for my foot massage. So then clarified again it was a foot massage, and hand if possible. She then took me to the foot massage room. Apparently all this time was counting towards my 30 minutes because even though I made it clear to her what time the service started I did not get 30 minutes. She scoffed at a 25% tip. 25%....And even though she had my card in hand, failed to mention a $5 service fee for credit card. I know for a fact square doesn't charge that much so I'll probably have to contact the local square pay business manager to see where that extra service fee is going. I'm surprised this place has some 1 star reviews. I went here recently and had a pretty good massage. The person who gave me a massage had to answer the front door once because someone was eating lunch. She added a little extra time on my massage which was great for me. It wasn't the most perfect massage but for $70 it was pretty good and did the job for me. It was just as good as some of the other massage places in Bellevue. I get the feeling though that it might be connected to someone's house or something. I kept smelling fried chicken. Maybe it was a nearby restaurant but it seemed to be all inclusive. Hence the four stars the aroma therapy was making me hungry not necessarily relaxed but the massage itself no issues there. read more

I visited there with my mother in June. The receptionist didn't know how to use the credit card machine. She has struggled to find it out but she never checks each pop-up and just kept going and skipped to add a tip and issue a receipt. She called another woman but the woman started from the beginning. I was afraid they charge us double and asked them a couple of times but they keep smiling and didn't answer clearly. We found out they charged double later, though I could refund the money. Don't listen to the negative reviews. I found the people very friendly and the massage was relaxing and the pressure just right. It is normal that the masseuse will leave momentarily to answer the phone or to great a walk in because they don't have a dedicated host like some bigger spas have. It is sad to call yourself a business. I went here a couple times & the service was mediocre. I kept coming back because the quality of massage remained the same which I accepted and the cost was decent. I decided last minute after work on Monday on an impromptu massage, but my usual person (Wendy) was away. I figured since I was there, I would get a massage. What went wrong- I told the masseuse I only needed focus on my neck and upper back, yet she proceeds to give me a 10 minute hand rub, NOT massage. I had to tell her repeated where my focus areas were and to apply more pressure since this was a deep tissue massage. She walked out 3 times during my less than 30 min massage to answer the phone, answer the front desk, and make a personal phone call while apparently my 2nd hot towel was heating up. Not even 10 minutes into my 60 min massage, someone walks in requesting a massage. She tells him to come back in 40 minutes. I don't need to have a PHD in Math to know that I wouldn't be getting my full hour if she stops in 40 minutes. It is not good manners for a massage business to take calls, tend to the front desk during an appointment, and especially not personalize the massage based on the customers' needs. They apparently just raised their prices for 1/2 hour at $30 to now $40 and a full hour at $60 to now $70. For $10-$15 more you can get a real professional masseuse who knows what they are doing ( I've done some in the past even though they are costly), BUT at least you'll be getting what you pay for. read more

This is the worst place you can go to get massage service! Extreemly poor service, no skill and so annoying thst they ask a separate charge in the name of tip. Tip is supposed to be based on quality og service and to be determined by the customer. I had 3 services invluding today and no matter how much i give them the benefits of doubt, thinkong maybe they were tired, no no, they consistently showed me extewmly poor service. Also the price they advertise for in a post in the street is not the price you will be required to pay, its vlose to if jot more twice that amount. I wonder how they even exist as a business. I just left after 20 min of service, as it was useless to spend time there any longer. read more

I like this place especially Sophie. I go there with knotty shoulders as I seem to hold all my stress there and each time I am left feeling so relieved. I don't know why they have such poor reviews. It's clean, friendly and Inexpensive too. If it was only for Sophie and the massage my rating is 5 but there is this man who works there or maybe own it who is pretty loud and annoying. He called her out the last time while she was massaging me as he wanted something. He yelled and collar her out and she left the room , it wasn't a subtle knock on the door or a whisper. Which actually brings down the ambience rating to minus zero. Yelling is not good but inside a spa which is supposed to be calming is unbearable. He didn't yell the last time though he was loud. It was a cute little spot located in old Bellevue and love the atmosphere of this spa. The only reason for this middle rating is because my masseuse did not know what she was doing. It felt like I was in middle school again at a PE stretching class. It was a lot of randomized stretching, few presses here and there, and it wasn't too consistent. I came in for a massage with Wendy yesterday. I was feeling like my whole body was tight from a plethera of reasons. Working out, stress, saddness : ( , and the overall tightness that can happen when it has been a while since your last massage. I am always leery about trying a new massage therapist since they all are really so different. Wendy did not disappoint. She asked about my pressure preference and I said I liked it deep and she gave me just that. She checked in with me several times to make sure that it wasn't too much which I appreciated. It was definitely different than a lot of massages I've have had in that it was more invigorating rather than calming. For my somber mood that day and the knots all over my body, it fit the bill. She used techniques I've not experienced before, used warm pads to place on areas of my back not being worked on at the moment, and made sure my body was free of oils before I left. Thank you Wendy for making me feel better physically and mentally! I cant wait to come back and treat myself to a reflexology foot massage! This is perhaps right up there with most other great massage places minus a few things I'll get to later. The building might look a bit out of place in Old Bellevue and next to a large mixed complex. However, inside is very clean, modern, modest and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable and nice. The restroom is clean, simple, even has small towels to dry hands (extra laundry for staff) and a dual-flush toilet. The waiting area, from what I noticed, seemed nice. 1st visit: Helen, Her "conversation" English and "massage" English aren't that good but decent enough. Very solid, moderate skills, I thought. 2nd visit: Wendy, Her "conversation" English is ok and "massage" English is rather good. She can somewhat read your body motions/moans and almost systematically prompt a "Is this ok, does this hurt? Etc." And then, depending on your answer, she makes a decent attempt at explaining the cause(s)/symptom(s)... without missing a beat---this why YOU should communicate that while you may acknowledge this "good pain"... it's still too unbearable; something you're not used to, yet. At some points, I was ready to "tap out to the referee" (ow...owowow....OW... inside my mind); I informed her and also tried sucking it in sometimes, confident that it will help relieve me, later. She also gave me the BEST neck region rub evar. The neck is small but there are small points that she was able to nail. just. right. Sadly, I still have neck problems... She also puts on warm pads on your upper body while she migrates to the lower areas. I think she is also a manager, not sure. There was a robe on the door so showers are probably an option. Look past the over-sized (possibly old) "MASSAGE" text on the entrance and try here. Given this area (location/demographic), the facility and staff, I think this is a good value. read more

I get regular massages all the time so I decided to try them out but this is the worst massage I have ever had. Would not go back, would not recommend. I had originally booked a 90 min but after 15 min of this person rubbing my armpits (wtf) I told them I was going down to an hour because I wasn't feeling well. Obviously they had no idea what they were doing. I had to direct them repeatedly, as they got a little too handsy and the pressure was so weird. They stopped the massage at 50 min! So mad. They got all three of us in right away. It is very clean and charming. The outside is just as nice as the inside. All of the massage therapists were experienced and professional. None of us had a bad thing to say. Their pressure was perfect and they all asked us our preferences and checked in throughout. I'd say it was the best I've ever had. I got the hour long full body. I have been here five or six times and they never disappoint. 60 dollars for a 30 min foot soak and foot run along with a 30 min back rub. Also, they are very clean and following covid19 guidelines. They took my temperature, had me hand sanitize before and after, and everyone wore masks. I will definitely be back, maybe this week. read more

Not very happy with my recent visit here. The lady who worked here (name was Candy?) kept stepping outside about 6x to answer the phone. Everything just felt unprofessional and disruptive. I just wanted to enjoy my massage but she kept asking a lot of questions unrelated to my massage and was very chatty. At the end of the one hour massage I wanted to tip slightly over 15% and she was offended and said she gets at least 20%+. I had a poor experience but the fact she wanted to bargain for a higher tip was absurd. I gave it to her but I definitely will not come back. read more

Yu is amazing. I usually arrive with pain in my shoulders, back, and feet and I always leave feeling like I'm made of butter. She's very good at customizing the massage for my needs and using the amount of pressure I need (quite a bit) to get the knots out. I understand some of the negative comments because once when she was out of town I had a massage there that wasn't all that relaxing or professional. I had been told about this place by a few of my coworkers as we work nearby. I came in after work one day because I had a really tender spot in my back. I asked for the half hour massage. The massage therapist took me back to a room with two massage beds that was separated, incompletely, by just a curtain. I had to get undressed not knowing whether at any moment someone was going to come around the corner. She asked me what kind of pressure I wanted and I said light to medium. She said she would "try". The pressure was nowhere near light, and the massage was quite painful. I dealt with it in the hopes that it would ultimately help. I had left my underwear on as I have been told by several massage therapists I know that that is the universal symbol for "don't touch my butt!" Yet partway through the massage, which was just supposed to be my back, she yanked my underwear halfway down. I wasn't traumatized by it or anything, but I don't like having my personal space violated. The good news is that they are open late, the pricing is reasonable, and the massage did improve my back pain. I don't know if the prices were so low that I'd be willing to put up with the lack of professionalism again. read more

I was in downtown Bellevue when I happened to see this shop. I walked in and decided to get an hour massage for $60. As I walked into this shop, I noticed that its very nice inside, very comfortable and clean. I was met by a very nice petite Chinese lady. Shes small but was able to give strong pressure where I needed it. The massage was excellent and lasted the whole 60 minutes. Great value, great price, very comfortable massage table with fresh linen. I've been to other foot massage/massage places where they do not change linen out after every client. Due to cleanliness,service and atmosphere, I'm giving them 5 stars and will be going back. I'm not 100% but I think she said her name Amy. read more
