I've been going to Laveen Smiles since shortly after it opened. The staff is great! They are nice people that truly care for your unique oral health needs. They will answer your questions, provide resources, and samples if needed. Dr. Evans loves the community and will answer all of your dental questions. The office is nice, incredibly up-to-date with technology, and has additional air filters throughout (it's in a medical building but clearly has the freshest air). I've personally never had any insurance or billing issues with two different popular insurance companies in AZ either. It's a 5-Star experience every time! read more

Dr. Evan's is amazing! Dentist offices give me anxiety in general. But this experience was different. His bedside manner is something I hope to find for all of the people on my care team. He was great at explaining everything as he was doing it. I felt informed and safe at all times. Previous dentists (moved here from Chicago) have made me feel anxious and uniformed on any procedure that was happening. These folks are amazing. My son had a cracked tooth and they got us in same day as new patients. Well. I wasn't a fan of the bedside manner of one of the hygienists last November so I asked for another hygienist and was accommodated with an appointment in May - I got notifications to reschedule and then they canceled. I called but didn't leave a message today and got a callback from the receptionist who was thorough in both calling me back and calling me by name. She said it was canceled because the doctor went on vacation during memorial week. Totally understandable but couldn't find an appointment with the other hygienist until August. Then found one for end of July. That's about 8-9 months after my last appointment. So I'm looking at other options and feel disappointed with this experience. They charge $50 in advance to hold appointments for fillings. I was sure they did this for appointments too but receptionist says no - just be aware of your banks timelines for disputing charges in case they also cancel on you several months after you book and you've paid a fee to hold. I was told I had a $48 charge after my second appointment but I'm not sure for what unless it was for the booking charge. Or they didn't use my insurance information properly. About $25 for fluoride as well. Nothing bad to say about the dentist himself yet - pretty good job on my filing (I believe - haven't had anyone tell me otherwise) Seemed nice and assuring. Just seems to be some hallmark issues of a fledgling office in availability with only one dentist and two hygienists and one receptionist. read more

Laveen Smiles is by far the best dentistry practice I've been to in the valley (I've lived here for 10 years). I'm new to the Laveen area and needed a local dentist. I came across Laveen Smiles while searching online. The 5 star reviews speak for themselves. The facility is clean, modern and welcoming. The ergonomic chairs are the most comfortable I've sat/laid on. There are monitors/screens next to you and on the ceiling, allowing you to see what Dr. Evans and his assistants are seeing, with the option to watch TV. The entire staff is professional, friendly and extremely well-mannered. Dr. Evans promptly sat with me during my cleaning, introduced himself and welcomed me. His is very personable and approachable. Can't say enough great things about Laveen Smiles. The staff and the Dr. were terrific. They were kind, professional and thorough. I'm a new patient and was seen for emergency care immediately and with no fuss. Everyone made me feel at ease, from the receptionist, the dental assistant, the hygienist, the billing associate to Dr. Evans. Everything is transparent- there are screens set up so that you can view everything related to your care. Loved that the X-ray machine was comfortable- no huge plastic things shoved into your mouth- and you can view the images immediately. The billing and prices aren't hidden, they're shared on the same large screen as the dental images. The office and stations were clean. When the procedure is being performed, you're able to watch a large screen TV attached to the ceiling. It's a thoughtful gesture since it made the procedure feel less stressful, focused your mind elsewhere and made time slip by. Dr. Evans was thorough and discussed options for care as well as billing. He also discussed himself and created a two way conversation that made me feel comfortable. I never got the sense that he was out to nickle and dime you. The conversation regarding care and billing was very low key and never pushy. I have a huge issue with my teeth not numbing and was incredibly nervous due to prior experiences. Dr. Evans took this into consideration and whatever he gave me numbed me thoroughly. He and his assistant also ensured that I was comfortable throughout. He'd built enough trust with me that I knew he would stop if I were uncomfortable, but thankfully I never felt any pain. As a new patient, this is the type of experience you hope to receive but rarely get. The procedure itself bled into the Dr.'s lunch but he and his assistant were gracious and thorough. This is probably my longest review ever...as I initially said, I can't say enough about Laveen Smiles and the terrific folks in this practice. No other dental practice has made me feel this comfortable and -happy? For someone who never felt the desire to have a continuous dental relationship with any practice, I surprised myself by saying that we can do the small stuff 5 years down the road. The Dr. didn't bat an eye and agreed to work on the most pressing matters for this year and the next. I'm more surprised than anyone that I'm actually looking forward to fixing my teeth. Even if I moved out of Laveen, I would make the trip out to Laveen Smiles. read more

Laveen Smiles is nothing short of being the best Orthodontists in this valley. I have heard stories of when people get their wisdom teeth removed and how it was hell for them afterwards. Laveen smiles was quite the opposite. In one day I got 7 fillings and 4 teeth removed, then next day I haven't felt any pain and I haven't taken any medication. I don't know what other orthodontists are doing to have their patients suffering so much after tooth removal but Dr. Evans is a professional among professional. I came from Scottsdale where the pressure was so intense for up-charging the clients and not accepting "no" as an answer. So when I came to Laveen Smiles the dentist was so kind and actually talked me through what I needed to get done and the best ways for me to save money doing it. I had a filling on my front tooth and it fell off. I was panicking because it's my front tooth! We moved here from another state so we have not really found a new dentist. We've called around multiple dentists and nobody was able to accommodate me until maybe January. My spouse drove to Laveen smiles (local in Laveen) to see if they would help me. They did not have any openings either BUT, Dr. Evans himself, after overhearing my situation, went to the front and agreed to stay later TODAY to help me out. That's just the beginning of how incredible this place is. The staff was friendly, kind, professional and warm. Dr. Evans was thorough and he explained everything to me in words I could understand. Best part? NO PAIN! He is that good! Even better... he fixed my broken tooth and it looks better than before it even broke! WOW! Absolutely love this Dental office. Dr. Evans is very patient oriented and driven. He has a great patient to Dentist relationship approach. I went into see him and had some work done as well as I was referred out. There was an issue, but after my husband and I sat down to talk to Dr. Evans it was settled satisfactorily. The Receptionist and Billing Admin are very polite and go above and beyond, in fact they all do. They did such a great job I switched my teenage son over to Dr. Evans from his Pediatric Dentist. Any time I have a question no matter what it is the Staff always responds promptly. They are kind and understanding that things happen and there will be questions. I am what is known in Arizona as a "snowbird", spending summers in the midwest and winters in the sunny southwest. My dentist back in North Dakota is terrific, but she is 1,700 miles away, so in December when I had pain from a tooth that had to be extracted, I needed to find a dentist in the Laveen area whom I could trust. I put the word out on Facebook, and many people recommended Dr. Mark Evans at Laveen Smiles, which is less than a mile from our house. Since I first went to Dr. Evans a few weeks ago, I have had to have two teeth pulled. Both started causing me problems after coming to Arizona. I have also had an infection in my gums which has been painful. Dr. Evans is an expert with extractions--both were done very quickly and were pain free. He and his entire staff are courteous, considerate, and give superb customer service. The last two times I went to their office, I got in to see Dr. Evans right away--no scheduling hassles or need to come back another day. The charges for services are also very fair--I was really surprised at how reasonable they are. I am really glad to have found Laveen Smiles. I hope that the Laveen community appreciates the gem they have in Dr. Mark Evans and will support him with their business. He is Laveen's only private practice dentist, and the people of the area are so fortunate to have him here. read more

It was a Monday, but I remember it like it was yesterday even though it was actually two days ago. I was greeted by the receptionist and after briefly filling out some additional paperwork, my turn came up. Jasmine was very nice and courteous getting me situated with X-rays and pictures of my teeth. They weren't too uncomfortable and took about 15-20 min. After Jasmine was satisfied with my pearly portraits it was time for Renee the hygienist. She was also very friendly and engaging which is always nice, but even more so when you haven't been to the dentist since pre-pandemic and are feeling like you have the biggest yuck mouth out there. She assured me my teeth and gums actually looked good considering it had been awhile but by no stretch of the imagination was my mouth a healthy mouth at the time. But it must have been ok because I didn't require a "deep" cleaning, just the regular. After all the tools were gently used and put away and the final spit had been spat, Dr. Evans came in to examine my teeth and ask some questions. He was very polite, professional, answered all my questions and consulted me on my options for follow up treatments. Surprisingly the thing that ended up causing the most discomfort was how cold it felt sitting in the chair while all the work was being done. I mentioned it to Dr. Evans and he said they were looking in to advising customers via appointment reminder texts to bring something warm because he can only control the temperature by a couple of degrees for his part of the building. I will be going back and this time I'll be sure to wear sleeves so I don't damage my teeth due to them chattering. I think they like me there. They are going to make me a king or something because when I go back I get a crown! read more
