Delivered very warm and on time. The side salad was fresher than I've had from much pricier restaurants - a bit of cuke, a cherry tomato, and lots of crispy romaine. The yellow rice was fine, the onion is about 1/4 of a red onion sliced. The lamb chops were tender but overcooked. I strongly recommend ordering them rare. I ordered medium rare and got medium. I'd have liked garlic on it. It comes with two full-sized warm pitas with good flavor. Actually one order can serve 2 people with a bit more salad. read more

After discovering Lavash Café in the Local Yelp one day, I came to the realization that I needed to get there pronto! The photos of their food on Yelp had my mouth watering and because of that, I made a point to grab lunch there with a friend ASAP. We arrived to find parking in the back and on the street alongside the restaurant. It was a very busy day (I believe it was a special holiday) and the place was popping at 2:30 in the afternoon. We made our way to the front of the line and the young lady taking our order was the sweetest. She made some great recommendations and seriously sold us on grabbing some baklava before we left. They have a presentation of a large variety of baklava right next to the cashier... I imagine they did that on purpose, ha! We ended up ordering a small hummus appetizer, a falafel sandwich and a gyro. It came out to about $23 and next we grabbed water and a seat outside on their lovely patio. It was a beautiful afternoon and we were jazzed to see outdoor seating. That's always a win in my book! Despite how busy the joint was, our food started coming out rather quickly. We started with our hummus appetizer and oh my goodness. It was divine. Freshly made hummus is very special, nothing like what you buy at the grocery store. It was smooth and flavorful. Heck, I could eat an entire meal of just their hummus, no lie. Our sandwiches came out next and we dove right in. My friend had the gryo and said it was fantastic. I had the falafel sandwich and was blown away by how big it was. Stuffed with falafel, lettuce, tomatoes, hummus, tahini, and parsley, it was all I ever wanted. We both got a side of tzatziki sauce to dribble on and that was fire too. I was so pumped to learn that they offer delivery and there is no doubt in my mind that I'll be back. I ordered Lavash Cafe through UberEats and I was not disappointed! The food came hot and delicious! I ordered a chicken shawarma, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and a side of garlic sauce! They sent a few warm pitas too! The pita bread was freshly baked and warm and the rest of the food was incredible! The total for all of it was about $30 with delivery, so I would say it's fairly priced! If you're looking for a spot for lunch or dinner, I would definitely recommend trying Lavash Cafe out! read more

I had a great meal at Lavash and I'm very pleased that I can get top notch middle eastern food around my corner. The restaurant operates with counter service, but the staff was friendly and eager to explain the numerous daily specials. The owner, Nasir, greeted each table and thanked me personally for dining - I've yet to receive such welcoming service from any other Columbus establishment. I went for a classic falafel sandwich, fries, and baklava. The falafel was fresh and flavorful, with a crispy texture that was just perfect. The sandwich had some tahini sauce and hummus - both were excellent. The fries were also really good - they were cooked perfectly and dusted with a mild spice. The baklava was also very good. I don't claim to be the arbiter of the best Mediterranean food, but man, I will go ahead and say this place was certainly that! The combo for two was a great deal and included chicken kabob, lamb kabob, lamb kefta, lamb chops, hummus, french fries, fatoush, rice, and pita. Everything was fantastic in the combo with the lamp chops as the run-away MVP. That being said, the pistachio cake is nothing to write home about and I would give it a pass the next time around. My favorite Mediterranean spot in Columbus. I visit this place all the time on my way up and down I-71. It's a great spot located a little north of OSU's campus. Over the past 10 years or so I've seen them expand and it's really impressive how they've maintained such great quality despite increasing demand. I usually get one of the kefta sandwiches (recommend trying it with the Lavash bread at least once) and a large hummus to go that I can eat for breakfast over the week. The meat quality is amazing, everything is made so fresh. Their hummus and pita are exceptional too. Most recently, I split one of their platters with my friends. It comes with a great variety of meat, rice, and appetizers. It's incredibly filling and super delicious. If you like variety I'd highly recommend it! The fries (unpictured) were amazing. I really liked the chicken kabob and my wife liked everything else. However I thought the beef Schwarma and the beef Kabob tasted over seasoned (way too much pepper) which is why I didn't give them a 5*. Overall still really tasty and we will have leftover for days! I'm Lebanese so grew up eating authentic middle eastern foods and my standards are high for this kind of food but this place is great!!! The food is prepared well and tastes homemade, especially the hummus, tabouli, Lebanese rice and kibbeh. It's a great price for the amount of food you get too, everything I ordered in the photo was only $20. They give you lots of pita which I appreciate! The store itself has a fun atmosphere and they have a display case with all the beautiful baklava, which made me wish I'd gotten some. I'll be back for sure!! The flavors are delicious. The size is ginormous!! Easily serves 10 people with leftovers. We also love their spicy black bean hummus (highly recommended). Its the perfect blend of black beans, tahini, and garlic toppedtopped with evoo. And the hummus comes with their very addictive housemade pita bread. I ordered the Lavash combo which came with falafel, 2 grape leaves, hummus, and tabouleh. We also ordered some pita on the side which was definitely the move. Historically I've never enjoyed grape leaves but this was the first time I actually ate them and liked them, so high praise for Lavash on pulling that off! I've had the butter chicken, biryani, and mulligatawny. I recommend them all. Butter chicken is my favorite dish because I find it cozy and comfortable. It's my go to Indian dish which I know is cliched for a white woman but it just warms my soul. I've had a lot of butter chicken with many variations from boring and bland to too spicy for me. Lavash makes a version I enjoy which is full of flavor and spicy in a not hot way. The biryani is hot enough to make my nose run a little, but still not something I'd consider too much. The mulligatawny is as comforting as chicken noodle soup. Wholesome, tasty, makes you feel good. Good naan too! read more

Oh how I love Lavash. There is not a negative thing I could say. I've tried almost every item on the menu and I must say, it's all delicious. The staff at lavash is wonderful; everyone is always friendly, happy, and helpful they make you want to come back. The menu is pretty simple and even features gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options. My personal favorite is beef/lamb shawarma on pita with a side of hot sauce (and no it's not Frank's). The flavors of lavash are out of this world, they are rich and developed always leaving you wanting more. Everything is fresh and homemade, there is even a display that holds the meat skewers they have for the day. The restaurant is very clean and has a more casual vibe. Just came into Columbus to visit friends and they suggested Lavash for lunch and I'm SO happy they did. Lavash is the one of the best restaurants I've been to, and I've been to a ton of places. The food is fresh with amazing quality. We tried over 5 dishes and all were incredible, especially the lamb chops and baba ghanoush. They get their spices straight from Palestine and it really shows, and probably the most flavorful Mediterranean food I've had. On top of the perfect dishes, the service was phenomenal. I gotta say, I've had some fantastic Mediterranean in Louisville but this is just as good! It was a little empty when my family and I got here just around noon. The blue paint above the cashier area reminded me of the color they would paint a fish market. LOL. Not sure what kind of theme they were going for. The walls were all painted different colors and the chair cushions were absolutely atrocious. But I digress. I ordered the chicken shawarma, while my parents orders the chicken kebabs, and my sister got the lamb and beef kefta sandwich. The price is not bad, but I'm used to getting a side with my entree for an $8 price point. Didn't matter though because that skinny pita sandwich filled me up! It felt light and the seasoning was not overpowering. My dad would've wanted more flavor, but I honestly thought it was delicious without any need of salt. Parking wasn't bad at all. They've got a private lot at the back. Tons of tables inside and outside. They also had a raised area with a few tables by some large windows. I gotta give them some points for the natural light.
