I have NO idea why this spot doesn't have a 4+ rating, from my first visit this past weekend, it's AMAZING! My BFF had her group dinner there and I was floored from the moment I walked in. The interior is very nice and it's a huge place. They have a large menu available on QR code and they have hookah. The only thing missing is alcohol- it's a dry policy but the juices they offer are really great. The food tho- the FOOD THO!! OMGGG- literally everything we ordered was so good. The hummus with beef and lemon pepper corn were top of my list. The fried cauliflower, potatoes were really good and my friends said the lamb was out if this world. The google reviews will absolutely show you the true colors of any place. If I could give this place negative reviews, I would have. I have been trying to get a table here for months but it is almost impossible to since they do not accept reservations for parties under 6 people and they do not answer the phone. At first I thought that it was just that busy that they were so understaffed that no one was there to answer the phone. Instead, I witnessed the hosts rejecting every call when the phone rings. In the past when I tried to get a table in person, I was told that the wait was about 45 minutes to an hour which made me choose a different place. However, this time I anticipated waiting that long. An hour goes by until I received a text stating that the table was ready. I got to the hostess within 3 minutes of the text when she tells me they gave my table away because it's been 5 minutes. I proceeded to show her the timestamps on my phone that clearly show it was not 5 minutes. Not only did I have to wait another 20 minutes for them to figure out their mistake but I was finally given a table at the back of the patio next to the extra chairs. It was truly the equivalent of sitting next to the bathroom or kitchen door. We placed our order and got our food. The food was over seasoned in ways that made it inedible. The tabouleh was drenched in lemon juice, and the kebab was dry and tasted like I was eating all spice from the spice jar itself. The hummus had no flavor and the meat topping was also over seasoned. Our waitress also barely checked on us.. We then ordered hookah. The hookah was also gross. They packed the top so much that you could barely smoke it without coughing up a lung. Very cutesy place! I passed by and it looked pretty busy so I stopped in to check it out. Loved the free parking, but it's in a busy strip center area so you may have to park further back unless valet is your choice. Large patio and indoor space, good for groups. I walked in and let the hostess know that this was my first time and I just wanted hookah and a drink. Now it was at that moment she could have told me they didn't serve alcohol lol. She offered seating inside or out, and I chose inside. It was a hard choice, outside was a vibe! There were a lot of people on laptops, working, studying, etc., but I went on an off day so I chilled out this time. There were also people playing dominoes and cards, someone had their kid hanging out, someone was celebrating a birthday so they got a piece of cake with a sparkler and a small celebration by the staff. There was a lot going on during this lunch hour! I had a melon hookah and it lasted well over an hour without relighting. It was smooth and worth it. I tried an espresso martini (mocktail) and it was good and so pretty. My order was ready within about 5 mins or so with the hookah and drink. I didn't order food on this trip. Although you're able to smoke hookah inside, there was no issues for me with ventilation. The bathrooms are huge! There is a sink in each stall, privacy is appreciated. Here are my cons, but not a deal-breaker. First of all, no alcohol! Now I'm not a huge drinker but on this particular day I was looking for a kickback and wind down and didn't get that fully with a mocktail. You scan a QR code for their menu, which is pretty standard nowadays. I didn't see the hookah flavors available, so I stuck with what I normally get at other places. The waitress took FOREVER!! I made my initial order with the hookah and drinks and never saw her again to order food to try. Someone different brought my hookah and someone else brought the drink. I should've ordered all at one time but was still browsing the menu. When it was time for me to leave, I got up and went looking for someone to check me out. Beautifulllllll space ! I don't know what it looked like pre renovation but it's so nice now ! There's plenty of space to eat hang out and work yes work . I actually come here for work meetings and see a lot of people here working and smoking hookah. The mint drink is delicious and refreshing . We received friendly service, and we were seated right away since we chose indoors. The huge outdoor patio seating is the place to be on a cool fall weather night. awesome fruity drinks ( non alcoholic drinks) We tried a little of everything so the food didn't fit on our 2-person table. I visited yesterday after their reopening and it seems like the quality of the food has gone down compared to when I visited prior. This time I ordered the chicken twaouk and it just seemed like the chicken wasn't seasoned well. The mango salad was just lettuce and mangoes , not sure if they changed the ingredients compared to the picture I posted prior. My friend who came with me, also commented and noticed the downgrade on quality. Also, the timeframe (6:30 which was pretty empty outside) that we came there were just several servers standing around chitchatting, but it was hard to flag anyone down to get service when things were needed. Come here for the **vibez**. It's a cute place, very aesthetic and insta worthy. The skylight made it feel like an airport, large and airy. We stopped in for a quick lunch during a work day, which I actually prefer because it wasn't busy. I don't do hookah and actually am kind of bothered by it, so thankfully we were able to sit a little further away from it. It's not like la pasha or other places where you have to sit outside to be far from the smoke. Although I will say it was a plus that they had a little playground outside for the kids. I don't know why they didn't put the turf on the whole area and only did a little patch, but we used it for a bit before leaving and it was fun enough nevertheless. The chairs and outside area is really nice. The food was good, but not going to lie- there's better in the area. I wouldn't get a shawarma again, but I would get the grilled plate again- it's hard to mess up unless you over cook the meat. They had apple 3 horses which I was happy about because it's my favorite, and tasted the virgin Pina colada and it was really good. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, but the service was a little slow. It was to be expected though, as we had a large group. When it came time to pay our checks, I noticed that the payment handheld showed that my total was $24.00 with the original total prior to gratuity being added, was $16.00 in case I wanted to add more. It then clicked that the tip added was 50%. While adding gratuity for large parties is standard, 50% is a little wild. It sat with me and I knew something had to be up. So I called in and asked to speak to a manager to find out their policy and inform them what we all had been charged. I was informed by the woman who answered that I was unable to speak with a manager. So I asked her what their policy was for gratuity for large parties. She had to ask, but told me it was 18%. Which is a very reasonable number. I told her of what happened, and that we were charged 50% and that their management team may want to look into that. She then started talking to someone else and put me on hold. She then picked up the phone and then hung up on me. The money isn't a big deal. It was a couple of bucks. I went with my friends for the first time today and it was superb! The food was great we went for the Ramadan buffet and there were couple of options from appetizers, to entrees, dessert, and drinks. To start off with, just pay the vallet to park your car. Otherwise, because the lounge is next to Bennihana, you're out of luck when it comes to finishing a close parking spot. The vibe of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We had a reservation so we were sat immediately. We were a bit confused with the waitress situation because there isn't one waitress assigned to a certain section, so you can place orders with any of the waitresses. We opted to eat outdoors which was a bad decision because it was pretty chilly and they didn't have their heaters evenly spread out so we were shivering the entire time. They have a playground for kids but with hookah and hot coals all around it kids running back and forth I'm surprised there haven't been any accidents. The service was pretty fast considering how busy it was. However the food was pretty mediocre. We ordered their corn, spicy fries, and hummus which were all just okay. My friends and I ordered variations of their chicken, lamb, and shrimp. I can only speak to my food but the chicken was very dry and the rice wasn't the type of rice I was expecting. Giving one stars is being generous if I could give zero stars I would. I visited LAVA yesterday night with a large group of about 30 professional ladies for a mixer. While our waitress Maria was delightful, professional, friendly and very attentive throughout our visit it was the front host staff Nancy who totally ruined our experience. Nancy pulled our waitress away from our table for about 10 minutes and was scolding and yelling at Maria in plane view of us which made our group of ladies uncomfortable to the point we had to go get a manager to advise that Nancy behavior was disheartening. Upon leaving the restaurant one of the ladies in the group mention to Nancy that her behavior towards our waitress could have been handled in a private setting and it was not a good look for our first experience there. Nancy became combative and argumentative and I quote "Don't tell me how to do my job" Food 6.5 out of 10 nothing to run home about. I ordered lamb chops, garlic potatoes and rice. My garlic potatoes were over cooked. My mocktail was horrible and to milky in texture. I am sitting inside for lunch as I write this. Service: There wasn't much. I asked for a physical menu and she gave me a bit of an attitude. A different waitress ended up taking our order because the first one never came back until after we ordered. We took our time ordering too. Most of the waitresses ran about and were MIA. Not a single waitress checked up on us after we got our food. It is worth noting that as I write this there are about nine other tables. I even asked for new silverware and the check several times to many different employees before one finally figured it out. Yes, the silverware was dirty. Atmosphere: It looks good from afar but a bit too gawdy. They're trying too hard to look fancy. After sitting down and getting a closer look, every seat and couch is filthy. Everything has stains, the silverware had fuzz on it and was severely scratched. The furniture and wares were either bought secondhand or they brought all of this stuff from a previous location. Food: I got the lava pasta and the rest of my party ordered a chicken shawarma and a beef shawarma wrap. It isn't anything extraordinary. I have had better food served out of food trucks in Sugarland and off of Hwy 6. They served the pasta first and the other two dishes came out 10 minutes later. Why didn't they wait to bring out all three? We also ordered a cheesecake to-go that was to be brought out at the end of the meal. Again, no waitress checked on us at all after we received our food so there's no way she could have known to put it in the system. Payment: We reminded the waitress who took our order about the cheesecake. She said that she was waiting for us to tell her when we were ready for it. She never checked on our table so there was no way for us to tell her or any other useless waitress and also gave us attitude when we asked about it. We waved down two other employees only to be acknowledged and forgotten during the course of our meal. The bill comes out to $75 for three entrees. There was a $3 charge for a salad that was a side to one of the shawarma. There was a $7 up-charge for grilled chicken for the other shawarma. We didn't order grilled chicken! Also, for a party of three an 18% tip was automatically calculated in. So we were already forced to tip for probably one of the worst services I've ever experienced. read more

My dearest sister came across this place on Tiktok, and I must say what a find indeed. We came 15 til 1AM, looking for a good hookah and convos.. at arrival it was scarce of people, but nicely set up. Aesthetically pleasing, and the music was loud to hear but low enough to still converse. I fell in love with my mocktail-- tasting freshly made from the pineapple. My sister enjoyed her espresso martini as well. I'm very picky when it comes to hookah as i know the drawbacks, however the one served here tasted clean and soo smooth even with extra mint. I ended up trying a lamp chop for the first time, and our fries califlower as appetizers. Both so delish and paired with our drinks wonderfully. I liked the vibe of Lava Lounge. You don't have to valet if you don't want to & it's tips only. I went during Ramadan and since I don't observe I didn't feel like I should partake in iftar. Because of the buffet, they weren't serving food so I'll have to come back another time for their full menu. Ordered tea and the kettle didn't stay hot very long--they also gave us plastic straws instead of a spoon or stirring stick. But hookah and service were pretty good. Disappointing experience for a number of reasons. My friend and I came here last minute because Haze was unexpectedly closed. We should have read the reviews first. The food was not very good. The burger was basic and nothing better than you'd get at McDonald's. My friend's beef kabob was tough and hard to chew. They seem to be rationing ketchup because I got a small container enough to spread on my burger, but none left over for my fries. By then the servers had disappeared and I wasn't able to get more ketchup until I was nearly done eating. When it was time to pay they brought a credit card machine to the table and told me my total. There was no receipt and I didn't even know what I was being charged for. When I asked about entering the tip, the server in a very complicated way told me there was a tip added automatically (no idea of the percentage), but I could add more. 1. I hate places that automatically add a tip without telling customers especially for 2 people only. If I didn't say something no one would have said the tip was added already. 2. After paying the server just left. No receipt. Nothing. This is a shady business practice. Frankly, it's giving scam. I'd like to know what I was paying for, but no one even offered a receipt. This alone would ensure I never came back here, but the food and service wasn't great either. 3. Oh and they don't give tap water. The only water available is upcharged Fiji.
