I actually found out about them at the Cincy Magazine Best of the East event as they had a booth there. The people at the booth were so kind, and handing out coupons to stop by their store in the future. I visited recently on a day I was doing a Tour of Milford. There is a gift here for everyone! The main room has so many things! There is Jewelry, baby and kids items, a wall of socks, purses, I mean honestly so many unique items I cannot list them all. They have cute seasonal decor in the second room, cards, sports stuff, frames, and again SO MUCH MORE! The owners are the sweetest people and the prices are reasonable even without the coupon! No matter what you buy, it is packed in a cute little gift bag with tissue paper to take home. If you were buying something just for you, this makes you feel like you gifted yourself!

Denno himself travels annually to restore his stock, and he knows where and from whom everything comes. He was very friendly and easy going, encouraging my wife and me to pick things up and check them out. With the Christmas shopping season just around the corner, Denno's International Gifts is the perfect place to find unique presents for everyone. We picked up a Christmas ornament and even crossed off a couple recipients from our own shopping lists.

There are so many locally made goods and most of them have something to do with Cincinnati or OH. I particularly enjoy their kids/baby section now that I have a little boy. Although I've been very tempted, I must say I haven't splurged in anything for him and I'm not sure I will.... My work wanted to do something different with our engagement outing this year. My co worker brought…read moreup soap making. My manager found the Oakley Soap and was able to reserve a spot for us. Located at the Junior League of Cincinnati building off Route 50 across the street from The Precinct by Jeff Ruby. In this building, they have their own space downstairs. They specialize in Vegan, Palm Free, Soaps and Body Products. All Handmade. Besides soaps, they sell shampoo/ conditioner bars, shower steamers, sugar scrubs and bath accessories. We were greeted by the owner Laura and her assistant Stacy. Both down to earth and helpful. We had to sign a waiver. After that, We went upstairs to a private room to make our soaps. You get two soaps, pick out the scents and get to take it home right after you make it.(no need to wait and pick it up the next day) It needs to sit for 24 hours before you use it. After we made our soaps, we went downstairs where all the magic happens. Laura showed us how they made and cut their soaps. I was so interested that I bought a tutti fruit scented bath soap and a pack of lavender shower steamers. All reasonable in pricing. You can also order online! We had so much fun making and learning about soaps. Such a great experience! I highly recommend you check them out.

Hubs and I are a sucker for local wood products, especially since we are DIY crafters ourselves. Rustic meets modern here with the several choices of wooden door signs, bar decor, centerpieces, charging stations, state shaped frames and more. What started as an Etsy shop in 2013 has become a full blown store front with the cutest pieces. I ordered a script name online to be picked up local but they also ship. I scoured the internet for days looking for this specific type of script sign and found Pinecone Home to be the most affordable and with a week turnaround time. The owner even contacted me before she started my piece to recommend going larger since the name was long. She added 5 inches to make it look better AND didn't even charge me for the extra. So awesome. My kiddo and I picked it up exactly a week later and found some cute wooden magnets for $1 in store. They also have a DIY workshop to create your own pieces. I am so, so glad Anderson finally has something like this!
