My stylist was very thorough, even curling my odd shorter hair section I was starting to grow out from a previous undercut. The experience was very relaxing. It just always feels good with someone else messes with your hair. Hard to take photos during the process, but again as someone who is mostly an "air dry and go" person, it was fun having all these different products in my hair. My hair is so straight naturally, so I loved seeing it with so many beautiful curls at the end result. Whatever products she used was on point as my hair stayed curly all night and into the next day. Loved how my hair looked in all my photos throughout the day and got many compliments from friends and family when they saw it in photos. I feel I definitely got my bang for my buck. Sadly my friend had a very different experience. She struggled to communicate her vision to her stylist. Her hair also fell very quickly after the appointment as it seemed her stylist didn't have her tools on and already nice and hot before she began to style. I am not going to alter my review as this was not my direct experience, but I was very bummed for her that she didn't have the same positive experience I did. I also think the front desk staff was new or something as they tried to charge my friend for both of our blow outs, even though I already just paid for mine as I finished first. Also, didn't really know the products and where to find back stock when we inquired about an item that was sold out on the shelf. Just things to potentially think about and improve for the future. The inspector is checking things off and the man walks away and she follows him, the woman on the seat tells me that they were just inspected and that nothing is clean and they don't clean any of the materials which I say well I hope this side is better. It's now 11:38am and I decide to google the number and call it she tells me she will let the front know I am there. Then a couple mins later in walks in my lady from the outside and said she ran behind and would take care of me after she used the bathroom. She walks me in to this curtain small room and tells me to change and out all my items in a bin for storing. Then we walk to the chair where I am able to lay down. I felt very rushed and she was going through the combing and sensing very quick like she was trying to catch up with time. After a while she did slow down just a bit to massage my scalp. I couldn't really relaxed and essentially also felt tense that at one point she said relax but I just wasn't enjoying it. The halo was used for about 5 mins and then I was taken to a small back room where she dried my hair and while finishing I saw crawling on the wall a cockroach. Which made me question how clean the rest of the place is and I know it's small but it was just not a great experience. I will not be backs I tried to take some pictures but I just wanted to leave at the end of it all. $147 was my final charge for lateness and crawling bug, not to mention my hair was super dry.
