I really enjoyed my experience at Laundry City! The machines were clean and plenty of staff available. There are machines for snacks and laundry stuff. You have to purchase and use their laundry card. The day I went they offered one free wash cycle and one free drying cycle. The washing machines appear to weigh the amount of clothes in the machine as there are no set prices. This isn't one of the least expensive facilities I've been to but the clothes were clean and the machines dried well. The staff were friendly and helpful. I sent 12 patio cushions to the Moravia location to be cleaned . I paid $300. After calling them to make them aware that 8 of the pillows didn't look cleaned and another 2 pillows were returned with the foam cushion distorted and folded inside, they offered to rewash all of them and correct the distorted pillows. An entire week passed only for them to be returned in the same condition, including the distorted and misshapen pillows. I live in an apartment building where the washers hardly ever work right, so I've been sending my laundry out recently (wash and fold). I saw a Google ad for Laundry City and it looked like a good deal so I thought I would give it a try. I may not have been paying enough attention to the details, but the service ended up being significantly more expensive than the other services I've tried (Happy Nest and Glyndon Lord Baltimore Cleaners.) (Both of those businesses are great, by the way.) Laundry City was about 6 hours late picking my laundry up and 8 hours late dropping it off. On the drop-off day, I called several times and could not receive any kind of ETA for the driver. When I first called, no one even answered the phone. For hours. I found laundry city and thought I would give them a try. I was under the impression I could ship out Sat and it would return Sunday. I send an email asap and come Monday morning I was on the phone. The person on the phone was very helpful and brought ease to my mind. The website clearly states over 50lbs would be delayed a detail I thought I was avoiding by a few lbs. A few hours later I rec a phone call to address my email in which the person I was speaking with was very polite and again eased my mind. This laundry place stole my firends phone. she walked yes walked she doesnt have a car at night. she walked up there at night the only time she was able after work. she washed her clothes and at some point put her phone down. after she real it was missing she then calmly and politely asked if anyone in the building had found it. she was originally was told no one had found it. she then got help from a different friend to track her phone. the tracker said it WAS in the building where the employee only section would be. when she walked up there the next time she attempted to ask about her phone and was immediately greeted with aggression. since then the tracker shows it not far from the building and her phone company says it is still being used. so in conclusion these people stole her phone and with held it from her than lied about it. The personnel at fmb lied to me-again MiSS SHELBY; she said she make sure that a Technician would come out that afternoon 11/16/23, no one from fmb showed up to fix the dryer that I posted about yesterday. I had hang up my wet laundry around my apartment. This is such an inconvenient hardship for me. I am 75 years old, and handicap. The difficulty of trying to finding the energy to hang my queen size comforter, on the shower, rod could be a dangerous undertaking. My aunt is elderly and unable to do her own laundry so we got her a Laundry City subscription. They are consistently late picking up and dropping off and they give no notice. My aunt worries all day about her clothes so I call to check on them and the staff are rude. Last month, they decided they needed someone to answer the door in order to drop off when this had never been the case in the past. They have even left her clean clothes out in the rain. I find it hard to believe this is "Maryland's only 5 star laundry service." If that's the case, I would hate to experience a 4 star service. They SUCK. Do yourself a favor and use another. Very displeased with this service. I went in to wash clothes , I put 10 dollars in the machine to get a new card. When I went to wash clothes the machine kept saying start not allowed so I went to get help. The lady basically told me it was no money on the card even after I told her I just put 10 dollars on the card. She proceeds to tell me no money was ever on the card showing me the transactions. I tell her to run the cameras back to see that I put a 10 dollar bill in there. She looked at me as though I was lying about 10 dollars which I didn't appreciate. She called her manager and the manager told me the same thing they gave me no solution so I had to call the police. All over 10 dollars smh. I had 3 large quilts picked up Monday and dropped off Tuesday. I put them on the porch and they dropped them off on the porch. They were very clean, fresh smelling, and folded very nicely. I sent a comforter to be cleaned. The next day it came back over an hour late, plus jammed into a plastic garbage bag all wrinkled up. It was so bad that the wrinkles won't come out as if it were placed in the bag damp. It should have come back folded and not shoved every which way into a garbage bag! I asked Laudry city pick up 4 quilts they quoted $70; this was fine; on the print out they gave me it said that it will be ready on Friday; on Sunday, I called to find out what happen to my quilts, they told me that I have to pay for rush and they sent me an email, I told them I did not receive any emails; they had my email wrong, so then the girl says if I want my quilts back she is going to send the email and I have to pay $33 dollars since they washed it on Friday???? We tried to use their service but they failed to pick up our comforters. They scheduled a pickup 3 times over a period of 2 days and never showed up. The last pickup was supposed to be between 6pm to 10pm last night. We waited until 10:30 but they did not come, again. Then they left a message on our phone at 12:00am saying that they had been to our house. You have to give them a credit card number when you set up the order. I am done with Laundry City for life. Their pickup and delivery is always an excuse and I waste days waiting for the driver. That seemed to level off when they got a new system BUT they gave me tons of someone else's clothing. Called to return oh we will pick up right away. Never came so I had the bag ready with the other family's clothes with a big sign they do not belong to me. Last order many things are missing from my laundry. Laundry City was a great laundry service for us, until they began to fail. It became a guessing game as to when they would pick up the laundry or bring it back. Complaining did absolutely no good or purpose. The last time we used them was the final straw. The clothes didn't smell like they had been washed. Multiple items were rolled and tossed into the laundry bags. Several items were lost. They would use self adhering stickers on the laundry bags indicating the owner. Someone decided to staple these stickers onto the bags and ruined them. We are using a different laundry service. What a waste of time and money using Laundry City. read more

This place is awesome. You apply your money onto a card so that when you are actually using the machines no cash is needed because you load it onto your card. They even offer minutes of free drying if you are washing on site. They have several televisions. They have an area for the kids. The also have a quiet are that has a closed door. Bathroom was clean. Then I started getting my bras back with the clasps ripped out, then it went to I would make a date for pick up and it would fall through and no accommodations would be made when it was their fault. Now I'm the midst of a pandemic they decide to Jack the prices up if you want your clothes in 24 hrs or 48 hrs ranging from $1 to 1.85 a pound depending on when you want your clothes back. They are the worst ever. I've used this service for wash, dry and fold due to me not having time to do it myself. First of all they have very very bad customer service. My clothing was supposed to be picked up between 10am-12pm yesterday they didn't get here to pick it up until 9pm. They did not call me to inform me that they were going to be late, they did nothing and when I kept calling phone either went to vm or someone hung up. Today 3/7/2020 is supposed to be my drop off day, they were supposed to drop my things off between 10am-12pm again they late as ever. It's now 8:25pm no one has yet to call me. I've called 3-5 times today and spoke with the head quarter out Windsor mills location he couldn't tell me anything just he's sorry these people are horrible as fuck. This laundromat has become the WORST laundromat I've been to. I started going to this business when the owner haf the 1st laundromat which was located on Bowleys Lane. Smaller but everything worked. Now since moving to a bigger space he has let the property go. Half of the washers and dryers don't work and most of the time you find out after you put all your detergent into the machines. You inform staff there and they look at you like you're crazy and start to speak in their native language. They will off you cheap detergent to replace your detergent you lost in the machines. There are NEVER enough carts for you to use. The place is dirty, very dusty with spider webs all over your head and the machines aren't kept clean. Your close smell after using them. He keep raising the prices of the machines but not replacing or fixing any of the broken items. He needs to be shut down! read more

So I asked the attendants and one admitted to removing my clothes and placing them in the dryer.
