The current owner of this place is unhinged. I tried to come in today to do laundry & he lost his shit because he sold most of his businesses parking spots to people going to the Ravens game. He & the cars parked in the lot's handicapped spots will be getting fined. He doesn't own the lot (and it's shared with a federal office- the post office, which makes the handicapped spots an even bigger deal). It's the second time this guy has been really aggressive with me. Banging on my car windows, screaming at me without being provoked. There's other places to do laundry- I'm currently at one. I had been coming here a year and dealing with the woman who works there. Then I came in and had to deal with the owner. A rude, nasty, dishonest person. I dropped off the clothes and went to dump them on the scale. He wouldn't let me dump it out and proceeded to weigh the hamper with the clothes I. It to inflate my bill, and he also rounded up the amount he charged me to the next dollar amount to screw me out of another ¢.30. When I came back to pick up the clothes, I talked to his employee about him over charging me. She said he does it to everyone and they lose many good customers because he cheats everyone and they realize it eventually. I came back to pick up the rest of my order and he was there so i told him that he over charged me and was dishonest and a crop for ripping off good customers for nickels and dimes. Then he told me to get out and refused to give me my daughters clothes to me which I had already paid for. I asked him several times to give me the clothes and he began screaming and cursing at me., and refused. I told him I was going to come behind the counter and get them and he said he would call the cops on me. He got scared and gave me the clothes back because he is a coward and total weasel. It's been a month of waiting for the right part to fix my dryer - so I've started dropping off our laundry once a week. I don't know what the costs are in other places but for beautifully folded laundry being ready the next day, it is totally worth it. My sheets don't have any wrinkles- it's like they were ironed. As coin laundromats go, this one works. The attendant is knowledgeable and helpful. A high percentage of the washers and dryers actually work, and so do the change machines. Parking is convenient and air flow inside is good. TV is a bonus. read more

Clean little place to wash your clothes. The machines and the space are well maintained. Someone is always on duty to answer your questions or to help out. They also offer a fluff and fold service for reasonable price. (A same day turnaround is available for a bit of an upcharge.) There is no website and calling to get info will disappoint you. Business hours are 7am to 10pm everyday. **Update** I have been using the fluff and fold service offered here for the last 3 weeks. The folks here are consistent and always on time. As you can see from the photos your wash is place in a large bag. Inside you find that your shirts, pants, and underwear are all neatly folded and sealed in plastic. This laundromat is very spacious! There are several washers & dryers available and different sizes to choose from. I only come here when I need to clean heavy duty/bulky laundry (heavy blankets, comforters, towels, bathroom mats, etc.). One large washer is the ideal size for all of my laundry to fit into. I get $20 worth of quarters; I don't actually spend all of it but it's definitely worth having more quarters than less. I spend roughly $10 to $15, depending on my laundry. The costs for the dryer can easily add up, especially when you have heavy comforters & towels to dry. At the counter, there are: detergents, beverages, & snacks available for purchase. There's also a few chairs through out for your comfort and a private parking lot located at the back of the laundromat. The weekends have never been busy in my experiences. This place is fairly quiet, a bit warm, & reasonably priced. I've also never encountered an issue with management-- the workers have always been helpful & friendly. read more

When I first moved to Baltimore, I looked around for la laundromat with "ambience"and Federal Hill was my first stop. It was late last August and I was appalled because temps were in the 90s and they only had ceiling fans circulating, no air conditioning, and it was plain cheap to not provide air. I was soaked in sweat while doing my laundry. It was awful. And I complained. And then I wrote a nasty review on Google. However, I came back anyway, cause aside from that, the place is spotless, the machines are clean, inside and out, and the dryers are efficient. I am also happy to report the air conditioning is running today, even though the temp is hovering in the low 80s. In addition they provide laundry service and business is brisk. I love that they have cold and hot beverages and a place designed for customers to sit, both inside and out. I always treat myself to a Mocha Frappuccino, and because I am a smoker (Oh, no! I can see the anti-smokers, poised to attack!) as are others who come here, it's nice sitting outside, drinking your beverage, dragging your cigarette, and just letting your mind drift, or, catching up on correspondence and listening to your music. So doing laundry is actually fun! OMG! I forgot the most important thing. If you're a night owl, and you need to get that laundry done on Sunday night, Federal Hill is open until 10PM, 7 days a week! That's definitely a plus for me, since even if I'm up early, I don't come to life until late afternoon! Like I said, it's a very, very good laundromat read more

Dropped some co workers off at Federal Hill Laundry the other day. I decided to stay and charge my phone. I asked the owner where his plug is to charge my phone. He showed me where to plug up my phone. About 40 minutes later the phone was barely charged and the store owner came around the corner. He said, " If you are going to charge your phone it costs a dollar"! I started laughing. I said," Are you joking ". He said,"No". I got up. He asked me, "Are you a customer"? I said," Yes, I am with them"! I tried to introduce myself. He walked away. We were his only customers . Before I went outside I looked around. There is a 45 cent charge to get change to use the washers and dryers. There were signs everywhere. A dollar to use the bathroom (which was not clean and did not have soap). $1 for generic water. $1 for two Oreo cookies. The people washing clothes said the spin cycle stopped short so they had to ring out their own clothes. The dryers were slowed down so you can use more money to dry your clothes. When I was sitting in my vehicle he came outside and asked me was finished. I said no I am waiting for them. He said I was in handicapped and was blocking the door. He asked me if I could move across the parking lot. I was not in handicapped. Our production crew brings every music tour's laundry to this location. We bring thousands of dollars to him a year. Usually there is a young lady there that washes all of clothes. She is fantastic. The owner is very unappreciative of his customers. Walking away while your customer is speaking to you is unacceptable. read more

Does the job but when you have to wait an hour with your laundry, the accommodations are awful. There are maybe two functional chairs and they are too low to reach the bars around the edges. There are notes all around telling you not to wash your car in the parking lot, pay for internet, pay for plugging in a device, machine not working, etc. place could use a facelift. read more

As a touring musician, this place came through day of. Our clothes were fragrant and not in a good way. I walked in & was greeted by the nicest dude in town. I used this laundry for wash and fold for the last 6 months or so. The ladies that work there are friendly and generally do a good job until recently. An entire load of clothes were bleached by mistake, ruining hundreds of dollars worth of my clothes. Mr Sam, the owner, is not an honorable man. He ignored me for weeks, never acknowledging the problem until 2 weeks of my calling and leaving messages. I never spoke to him. Finally he called me and left a message. When I called back a few minutes later, he was not available and instructed the person on the phone to offer a few dollars off my next wash and fold service. I will never go back and recommend that anyone reading this should avoid this establishment. They do not stand behind their work. New build laundromat has been my clothes cleaning locale for 3-4 years. They use continental machines which wash and dry far better than the Card Only Electrolux laundromats that have popping up around Baltimore. Staff and wonderful, friendly and helpful. Owner is quite abrasive but shouldn't be a deterrent. Coin only but reasonable working change machines, a cute little café, good seating and parking for Fed Hill. Only been in a few time when crowded (don't spoil it). My fav laundromat ever! read more

Looked around the grill at all the laundry mat is great it's clean the staff were very helpful and come to find out you don't have to drive around for 15 minutes looking for parking space they have parking around back. When we got them and went to put them away, we found someone else's clothes in our order. We carefully sorted what was theirs and what was ours and realized that we were missing several of our items, including some jeans. We immediately returned the clothes that were not ours and asked for our missing clothes. They did not have them. After nearly a week when they were supposedly looking for our clothes, my wife went to talk to the owner. He accused her of lying and suggested that she was trying to make money: "Anybody could say they lost a diamond ring in their clothes." True, but we are only missing some pants and a nice bra. He claimed that his special system always worked and that clothes never went missing. Also, he has a sign that says he is not responsible, as if that means something. Almost two weeks later, we went back. A sympathetic employee got the owner on the phone. He told my wife the same things again. Then, with me, he went through the whole cock and bull routine. I pointed out that we have proof that his system is flawed because we had other people's clothes in our order, which we were honest enough to return. We estimate our replacement cost to be $188. I wish I could give this establishment a significant negative amount of stars. Dropped off my laundry to be washed and dried since my washer and dryer at my home were broken. We made sure to ask the person who took our clothes if they would read the labels in regards to instructions for washer and dryer temperatures and we were assured that they would. When I got back my clothes, a handful of my polyester shirts and underwear were completely ruined with marks and stains all over them. These were not inexpensive clothes either. I brought back my clothes to show them what they had done and the woman who works at the desk said she would speak to her manager. The manager eventually called me and literally SCREAMED at me on the phone saying that it was not their responsibility and I must have brought in my clothes already ruined. He refused to do anything to help with the situation. He was nasty and extremely unprofessional and eventually just hung up on me. I am appalled at the terrible job this laundromat did with my clothes and even more appalled with how nasty the manager was and how terrible the customer service was. The only laundromat in the neighbor where parking is in demand and roads are narrow and alleys and parking spaces are tight. Be warned that when it's time to get more money out of their establishment, the owners/managers will sell their parking spaces to non-laundry users during game day. You are out of luck because you don't want to drag your dirty laundry to drag it again to your house and get them dirty again. So...if you don't want to carry your dirty laundry to this laundromat, DO NOT DO laundry in times when they sell their parking spaces to non-laundry users. The bottomline is there is no free parking during game time. Get your time out and take a hike. read more

I love that I can throw my clothes in the drier then stroll to Cross street market for something to eat. There's also plenty or bars within walking distance if your in the mood. This is the Rolls Royce of laundromats. Clean, fancy machines, parking lot, nice natural lighting from large windows, and I rarely get bothered by other patrons. The machines are pretty expensive, and you have to select your water temperature before you put coins in. I once put my delicates in and forgot to select "cold", so I ended up paying for an extra machine. Also, the machines here are sensitive and get out of balance easily. Usually it just takes a little extra time to rebalance, but I did have a washer stop on me once. The owner paid for me to transfer my load to a new machine, but it cost me another hour at the laundromat. They do give up their parking on game days, so watch out for that. I tried to ask if I could double park because the game had just started, but they wouldn't let me! read more

Can't leave 0 stars. Do not use this place. Owner gives lousy customer service. I washed 2 sleeping bags in 2 washers side by side. One washer did not spin out the water. It came out sopping wet. The other one worked just fine. I complained and showed the owner. The bags were plainly the same and one was soaked, the other not. Owner claimed they were different materials (they were identical in manufacture color everything) that they were too big for machine (they were not - these machines are designed for much larger loads than my single down sleeping bag) he refused to make it right in any respect. I packed my sopping wet item into a plastic bag and left - not about to give him another dime. Do not go here. read more

We were visiting from Los Angeles and thought we would do a load of laundry before leaving as we have a handicapped daughter, and would make packing easier. The cleanest and newest laundromats I have ever been in. WOW! This is the standard that all other laundromats need to aspire to. The only minus us that it is one of the most expensive laundromats I've used. The washing machines either increase in price or decrease depending on the water temperature you use. A warm wash runs $4.50 and a hot wash $5 per load. Dryers are 25 cents for 4 minutes. That's about average with every other place I've used. Even with the higher price of the wash I will definitely be back when in town. read more

Mr. Sam is the owner he is a horrible man to talk to I've been coming there for months dropping off my clothes for laundry service I went in today and he told me I could not pick up my clothes till Monday I told him I dropped off next day service he insisted that I pay an additional eight dollars I asked him if my clothes were washed and dried if not I would just take them someplace else he would not listen to me all he kept yelling was for eight more dollars..... I explained to him that I was already paying $62 for service after he took my credit card and charged me he then told me I could not take my clothes out of the store.... that I was STEALING my own clothes !!!!! I needed to have all of my winter clothes laundered when I took them out of storage recently. I decided to splurge and have it done versus doing it myself. I dropped off four large storage totes and the clothes where done and packaged in less than twenty-four hours for a little over $100.
