This place lost my business the last time I was there…read more I'd been a regular customer of their wash, dry, fold service since they opened. Although pricier than some places it was worth it in convenience for me since the store was located in the same parking lot as my place of employment. I have no hang space in my apartment and every time I go in I ask for everything to be folded. Even the coats and cardigans. And every time I go it at least half my laundry ends up on hangers. The last time I went in, despite speaking to a woman who remembered that I wanted everything folded AND remembered my reasoning aka my apartment has 0 hang space, I still ended up with almost all of my laundry on hangers and only the towels and pillow cases folded. Not only did the girl think this was hilarious when I came to ring out she laughingly informed me how she wasn't the one who did it because she only worked the morning shift. No discount was offered and I was too appalled by the idiocy and lack of customer service to demand on. When I got home I had to take all my laundry off the hangers and fold it myself. Which is pretty stupid when I had just paid for a Wash, Dry, FOLD service. I will never go there again. They cannot listen, or simply don't bother to. It's not that hard to leave a note for other employees to ensure the customer gets what she desires.

Purity Laundry is a fairly small space but with quite a few machines. They have 18 machines total:…read morethree giant commercial-size washers, four large, four that are regular and seven that are small. (All cold wash) Giant: $7.50 Large: $6.25 Regular: $4.75 Small: $3.00 Each load takes about 20 minutes to wash. There are 16 GIANT dryers. These are only $0.25 to dry on high for 6 minutes. It took two runs (12 minutes, $0.50) for my regular size load to dry. They have lots of carts and plenty of open counter space to fold, but nowhere to sit while you are waiting for your wash.

Only problem is, it seems most people drop off their laundry for the single employee there to handle. That means most of the machines are often in use, as well as the laundry trolleys, so it can be a bit dodgy getting a washer or loading between machines. Fortunately, the lady on duty is pretty cool. For instance, I was using one of the small $2.75-a-load machines in the back, when suddenly I hit the $0.50 mark and my quarters got stuck. She couldn't fix the situation, so she just gave me $3 out of her pocket and said to use one of the larger washers, plus replaced my detergent I'd already loaded in. On top of the chill environment, there's also an arcade cabinet at the front. You can choose between a few classics, but the price is a bit steep - $1 for first play, when I'm already feeding $7.50 into the biggest machine to get my blankets and sheets clean? Well, overall, I'd say this is a solid bet for a laundromat. It's open from 8am to 6pm with last wash at 4:30, so it's probably no good for folks with regular work schedules. But if you have a day off, want to play some Pacman and have some laundry to do, this place might be worth checking out. Just be sure to call ahead first...

I just had to give this place another great review. I was able to speak to the owner about my…read morerecent visit to have some important items cleaned.(A Halloween costume that I was having cleaned for an event and some other pieces for Christmas) She was able to spend some time explaining how some stains will come out and some will take several attempts etc due to the type of stains. She gave me tips on future pre-treatment and even though the place was busy, she never rushed me. I was once more amazed by her knowledge of cleaning and material. Anyway, my costume came back quickly and even though the stain wasn't gone, it was barely noticable now! (Of course I now knew why some stains are more resistant than others!!) As usual, the rest of my order came out immaculate!! I mostly wanted to say that Ocean State Cleaners on Stafford Road is the absolute best. They are honest and caring and I will continue trust them with anything I have that is important to me! The word 'Quality' in their name and work is well-deserved!
