This is my first one star review in 15 years of review writing. I echo the other Yelp reviewer from…read moreJanuary 2026. I scheduled my husband for a scalp consultation/diagnosis. She's busy, his appointment was 2 months out. It was a driveby at best. Dr. Larsen spent less then 10 minutes with my husband. Breifly looked at his scalp and said "I can't really do anything because you've been itching". Um, yes, that's why we are consulting you Doctor. On her way out she recommended peppermint shampoo and prescribed a topical to use for 2 weeks. No diagnosis, no instructions on what to look for while using the treatments. Nothing. The best part is her office coded and billed his visit as an extensive, up to 45 minute consultation with full review of medical history and charged us $433. Dr. Larsen's distracted, disinterested - did no review of history, or symptoms and gives you the impression you are a file not a person. We won't be back.

As she entered the room, she started to talk about her 10 year old daughter's sleep over birthday party, and she had to go to Costco to get snacks for them and went on and on the whole time, and did not focus on what she was doing. The checkup was very superficial and she missed many parts of my body to be checked. The whole visit was no longer that 7 minutes, with no communication about my findings to me. So after this unprofessional visit I decided to call the office manager her name is MELISSA CALA UDIO, so i explained the whole situation to her. She told me she was going to have a meeting with her and let me know on the same day!! It has been over four days, and no update. Everytime I called the receptionist told me she is busy, either in meeting or with patient, she has been avoiding me with all these excuses for four days. Lastly I called today and got very frustrated because she was not available again. I am writing this review on how dismissive and unprofessional the office is.I just want they cancel the transaction with my insurance (she charged my insurance $836) for this lousy visit and also refund my copay , so I can go somewhere decent to have my annual skin test checkup done. Terrible Business Practices - They Have Officially Lost a Long-Term Patient…read more I absolutely love my provider and genuinely hate the thought of leaving them. I have trusted and valued their personal care for years. Unfortunately, I am no longer willing to give my hard-earned money to a business whose management treats loyal, long-term patients this way. I had a significant procedure scheduled and made a very reasonable request. I asked the office to keep a card on file to secure payment and allow me just a few days to pay with a new credit card that was arriving in the mail. There was no question about my ability or willingness to pay. I simply asked for a brief billing accommodation. Management refused to offer any flexibility whatsoever. Rather than work with an established patient, they gave me no reasonable option except to cancel my appointment. I had intentionally coordinated multiple appointments for the same day to make my care more convenient and efficient. Their rigid policy disrupted those plans and, more importantly, damaged a long-standing relationship with a provider I truly value. As a business owner myself, I find this incredibly short-sighted. Good businesses recognize the value of loyal customers and empower their staff to use reasonable judgment. Policies should protect a business--not drive away established customers over a minor accommodation that creates virtually no risk. This is especially disappointing because my decision has nothing to do with the quality of my provider. I would happily continue seeing them. However, doing so means continuing to financially support a business whose practices I strongly disagree with. I hate to leave a provider I love, but I work hard for my money, and I get to decide which businesses receive it. This one will no longer receive mine.

I followed exact aftercare instructions, but the procedure was done sloppy and hurried. Dr. Shavanni was in a rush which was obvious. She placed extremely loose stitches and very few. She never replied and I never received a call from the office which was concerned when they took pictures to send to her. They said she would send further instructions. I found her to be uninformative and in a rush. She's only in the office 2 days a week which is problematic. I now have to see a wound care specialist. In my 50's my GP referred me to this "Dr. Ross Kaplan" in Camarillo for red spots which was a surprise since the earlier Kaplan was now in Beverly Hills and I had read where he was Michael Jackson's doctor. So in Camarillo there have been two dermatologists named Kaplan. Dr. Ross Kaplan has been treating me for several years now to prevent skin cancer. He advised I have Leucism, which is some kind of albinism. I wondered why I never could tan. I get a full body exam every 6 months and he has kept me cancer free through the use of liquid nitrogen freezing, and taking vitamin D and staying out of the sun. I highly recommend Dr. Kaplan.

I consulted him about a deep facial skin cancer while I was also undergoing several heart procedures, so I was very concerned about the treatment options. Dr. Kaplan carefully evaluated the situation and was able to remove the lesion with a simple in-office scrape-and-burn procedure. This allowed me to avoid more extensive surgery or radiation. The healing was surprisingly fast, and there is very little scarring. Dr. Kaplan is also an excellent communicator who takes the time to answer every question I'm truly grateful for his skill, compassion, and thoughtful care.
