Was in town on a business trip and the hotel recommended a few different places locally. I was a little worried when the cab pulled up along a deserted street, with a gun club across from the restaurant, however I was very pleasantly surprised from the moment i stepped inside. My coworker and I said at the exact same time: "It smells soooo good in here" The menu has a good variety of steak and seafood dishes and changes frequently based on seasonal items. There are also several creative martini's. Our waitress suggested the fried Brussels sprouts which were absolutely FABULOUS with the delicious chilie aioli!!! The Traditional seafood paella was delicious and loaded with large scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams. The rice was cooked perfectly, and not mushy. My coworker tried the beef tournedos and shrimp (their version of surf and turf) and the shrimp and steak were also cooked spot on. All side dishes were made with really fresh quality ingredients and complemented beautifully. In addition to the great food, the staff was very knowledgeable, and was able to give good recommendations based on preferences. Great find!!!! read more

I had a wonderful dinner here last week. I found Lattitude on Yelp and I am so glad I did... this review will be updated later this week when I go back. My first visit... I was blown away with their customer service. Immediately when I walked in I was greeted. I sat at the bar and just about every server that walked past said hello and asked if I was doing OK... I also saw them do this with other patrons so I know they weren't flirting with me. When I first arrived and looked around the restaurant is very modern and clean. The crowd was a little older but as the night progressed it was varied with 30 somethings to older. I wasn't very hungry so I kept my meal light. I had their hand clipped organice greens salad and it was so delicious. Although I am not a fan of lettuce, this was a good variety of greens. It had warm goat cheese, apples, walnuts and a wine vinagrette, probably my favorite one of the best salads I've ever had. As a second course I had the mushroom and artichoke risotto. I was a little dissapointed that they took a little long after I finished my salad but they were definitely busy and the risotto was fresh so I can assume they had just made it. The mushrooms were a wonderful compliment, however I was not crazy about the artichokes. The taste was a bit too tart and it didn't quite dance on my toungue. I think I would order it again minus the artichokes. For dessert I had the special cheesecake, with a lemon girl scout cookie crust. It was good but not over the moon delicious. Like I said before, their service was amazing and I am inclined to go back again this week but this time I will try something new. Stopped in for their Sunday Brunch yesterday with my Mom and sister. We were one of the first parties to arrive to an almost empty restaurant. I ordered their Spicy Chicken Benedict which comes with Sweet Potatoes Hash but they were out of the Sweet Potatoes (first customers of the day and out of a key component of the dish). They offered to swap the potatoes for regular which I agreed to. When my plate came out the poached eggs on top were steaming but the food underneath, particularly the potatoes, were like ice. I didn't feel like complaining and having to wait for a new meal while my party ate so I used the heat from the eggs to add a little warmth to my meal but hardly enjoyed it. My whole party was excited to try out Lattitude and overall none of us were very satisfied with our food when we left. UPDATE: I did visit Lattitude for dinner recently for a birthday party. My dinner dining experience was much better with good bread and nice appetizers. My dish came with a white sweet potato mash that was delicious. I won't try them again for brunch but I may be back for dinner. read more

We're from out of town and found this fantastic restaurant on Yelp to begin with so I had to come back and add our stellar review. The restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and quick to offer suggestions and or advice for newcomers. Our waitress pointed out that the menu changes with the season so you can find new dishes every few weeks. We had read about their "fried brussel sprouts" and were not disappointed in the least. I have never been a fan of this sprout but loved the taste of the sea salt and the texture the frying process adds to them. They were delicious both with the aioli dipping sauce or naked. I had the beef tournedos and shrimp dish - the meat was tender and cooked to perfection at medium-rare. The shrimp were firm and crisp and delicious as well. The plate comes with garlicky spinach and sweet onion mashed potatoes as well. Each bite is worthy of being savored and I took my time getting through the dish. My husband had the scallops - they were just as delicious and done perfectly well that all 10 were the same temperature and consistency. The pasta in the dish were all cooked correctly and the sauce was fantastic with the dish as well as soaked up with the fresh baked bread they serve. We finished off our visit with dessert, of course. I had the peppermint creme brulee and my husband had a jumbo chocolate chip cookie. The mint flavor in the brulee was enjoyable and not overwhelming and made the dessert a nice finish to the meal. The cookie looked fantasic - my husband lacks a sweet tooth but still ordered something off the dessert menu because dinner had been so good. Neither my husband nor I are wine drinkers but the assortment of choices for wine, beer and martinis was impressive. Yum. A new dish I've never tried. Fried artichokes over wilted spinach and manchego cheese. It was even better than it sounded. Always love the brussel sprouts too. Def a favorite. I had pan seared sea scallops over a bacon risotto, and brought NO left overs home. The staff is really nice too. Parking can be a pain because there really isn't any. They do have valet, but I like to park myself and leave when I'm ready. Make reservations for sure as it's a small place and fills always. read more

Wow I was pleasantly surprised how yummy this restaurant was with it having an average of 3 stars. So here's my thoughts. For sure all the reviews about the brussel sprouts were spot on. SO GOOD. My only regret was not being more selfish about keeping that for myself. Its a share for no more then 3 people. My friend sincerely RAVED about her short ribs meal. I thoroughly enjoyed my authentic ceaser salad and chose to add scallops to it. Perfectly grilled and sweet. And for the win our group ordered the Baked Alaska and also the lemon cake. Also our server was so attentive and friendly. And now l ponder about the 3 stars. So here's my theory: I understand why they are on the expensive side, because clearly their flavor lives up to expectation. But there's something to be said how price impacts your perception of food. My salad with scallops was by far the most expensive salad I've ever had at $17. Yes, it was delicious for sure. But was it enough to make me want to come back again at that price? No. The portion size was more like a starter not a meal. If it was closer to $10-12 I would probably come back. The brussel sprouts were $10 and a very hearty helping to share. Clearly over priced again, but a treat because so well made. So overall it was pretty good, just don't expect to leave without paying at least $40-50 per person, and then wishing you were more full. read more

We dine at Latitude a few times a year, but last evening's dinner was worth crowing about! They had a scallop app special which by itself was great. But its the steaks that prompted me to write this. My wife gets hers medium well. And to all of those who say you cant have a well done steak that is tender... you haven't been to Latitude!!! It was tender, juicy and flavorful. First time guest... Loved it! Visited about noon on Saturday and had the pleasure of Brooke serving us. She was awesome, knowledgeable and so professional! We tried the fried Brussels Sprouts and we were not disappointed. Presentation, flavor, freshness and service were all exceptional. Brooke checked in with us the perfect amount of times and updated us on our meals status. I had the grilled petite filet with sweet potato purée topped with ale bernaise, no salt or pepper needed (a sure sign of a great chef!). Hubby had the Atlantic salmon which was cooked to perfection. Clean silverware, clean tables and clean bathroom. I recommend this for anyone visiting Springfield. read more

We are frequent patrons. Have been over a few dozen times and have had minor disappointments here and there but always come out happy. Lunch is a well kept secret as prices are very reasonable. Also lunch menu is extensive. Service is always good and usually exceptional. Kudos to the owner for not dumbing anything down for a blue collar town like West Spfld. Recently went to dinner here and had a wonderful experience. Our servers name I believe was Danny. He was very helpful in choosing what would be the best option for a meal. The Brussels appetizer was incredible. Cooked just right. The wine selection was a selection I could tell was hand picked. Also their beer selection was really more impressive than I've seen at other restaurants. The Delmonico was fantastic and cooked perfectly to order. The plate presentation was impressive. If you would like an excellent dinning experience, in a really impressive atmosphere with incredible food, come here. Also, I came by for brunch this past Sunday and ordered a Bloody Mary. I have to say, it was the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. The horse radish had a nice zing to it. A perfect bite! I sat at the bar. I believe the bartenders name was Alex, or Erin, I can't recall. Holy crap. From the minute we walked in (with no reservations) this experience was phenomenal. The staff are wonderful, friendly, accommodating. Enough to make you come back even if the food was so-so. But it wasn't. It was phenomenal. I only wanted to leave just so I can go back again. The brussel sprouts had a high bar to meet from Firebox in Hartford, CT. They jumped over it. Amazing. I had the filet which was tender, buttery and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had the seafood bouillabase. Both were excellent. I also recommend the grapefruit Martini. This may be my number one new favorite. read more

I can't believe I've lived less than 10 miles from this place for almost 2 years and am having it for the 1st time. My wife and I arrived there on a Friday night around 7:15pm and where seated in ~20 min, not too bad for a pretty busy night. Ambiance: The crowd ranged from 20-60 yrs of age, the bar area was an industrial modern with touches of nature (live edge wood tables). The only negative I have here is a rather bawdy woman that spoke as if she was trying to communicate with someone 100 ft away vice 3 ft (not really their fault). Food/Drinks: The food was fantastic for an app we go the fried brussels sprouts with a chili aioli. I love fresh brussel sprouts and fried food so naturally it was a party in my mouth. I'm a sucker for anything resembling a caesar salad so I got that and was super impressed. I guess this is their take on a caesar salad deconstructed (only know what this is because of Top Chef), the egg is fried sunny side, shredded parmesan cheese, whole anchovies, bread crumbs, and a balsamic reduction drizzled over grilled iceberg lettuce. I really enjoyed the grilled lettuce and also the fact that it was up to me how each bite tasted. All the flavors were much bolder than one normally gets from a run of the mill caesar. For an entree I got the grilled scallops on a bed of english pea risotto with a strawberry vinaigrette. As I'm writing this I'm practically salivating thinking about this amazing food. Everything was perfectly balanced. My wife got the grilled NY sirloin which was cooked/seasoned to perfection. For dessert we got the strawberry crème brulee topped with sliced strawberries. The portion was pretty small but this in no way overshadowed the flavor. My only real complaint was the alcoholic coffee I ordered was overwhelmingly bad (way too much alcohol). I really couldn't even taste the coffee and promptly sent back after one small sip. Service: I felt the service was professional and rather prompt, our drinks were always kept full, and our waiter took our order in a timely manner. My biggest complaint with the whole experience was our waiter failed to tell us what they were out of until we ordered our entrees. My wife was super excited to try their braised short ribs but we were informed ~20 min after sitting down at our table they were out of this item. In my opinion after handing us our menus the waiter should have informed us what they were out of. Bottom Line: Yes I would recommend this place to people and also plan on returning several times. Expect to spend ~$100 if you get apps, entrees and dessert (no drinks included). read more

I ordered the orange-glazed duck wings, pork milanese, and vanilla bean creme brulee. Came here after the big e and I'm so happy we did. We wanted a place to sit down and have a few drinks. They advertised $3 bud light and yuenglings, which was awesome. Except we sat down and ordered only to find out they had run out of both. I seriously think our waiter should have offered us the bottles or a different generic beer for $3 a pop to make up for this. I honestly thing its BS that a restaurant wouldn't try to make up for their lack of all advertised specials. Regardless- fried calamari was amazing with a pineapple glaze, and the buffalo wings were also scrumptious. After reading the reviews we had to check this place out. Everyone was right on the mark with the fried brussels sprouts awesome. I also had the tomato and mozzarella salad. My only complaint was they needed more mozzarella. I had the lobster mac and cheese which wasn't your traditional mac and cheese but was amazing. We also had the fried chicken, it was good but that is a dish I prefer more traditional with the flour crust. This one had a cornmeal crust. 10 of us went to Latitudes tonight for a work function. We were met by David, the most charismatic waiter I have ever encountered. Even if we were served frozen meat patties, I think he could've made it sound like an amazing meal. Regardless, Latitudes always has fresh food and delicious appetizers. We had oysters, calamari, brussels sprouts, and this beat salad that was out of this world. The cocktails that they have are also delicious, I had a Grapefruit mule and the woman next to me had a skinny Bon Jovi. Something for everyone I tell you including delicious beer. Says the owner is also a chef, the menu rotates frequently to match the seasons. You will not find specials like this anywhere else. I had scallops with a butternut squash risotto that cannot compare to anything I have had, even places that specialize in for seafood. Everyone else had delicious meals as well, including the tune of the head arrives fresh that day.Even our picky eater in the group was able to manage a Mac and cheese dish. We all had dessert, and I would say that would be the only moderately disappointing part of the meal. My Bundt cake was quite dry without much of a filling although it looked like an A+ presentation. The seating was comfortable and we had a wonderful staff meeting tonight. The atmosphere feels very elegant, and you will not be disappointed if you come here on a date with your loved one. read more

The buffalo chicken mac n cheese is amazing! The cheese sauce is light but flavorful and the buffalo chicken adds just the right amount of heat. I also had a great appetizer with french bread, aged balsamic vinegar, and garlic roasted and brought out to the table still in the skin. The fried artichoke app wasnt good it just tasted like fried batter and oil & due to a dirty cup, I lost a glass of wine out of the bottle we ordered. Although they missed a couple of marks the overall service and main course - beef tenderloin & side of bacon mac'n cheese is enough for a 5 star rating. Went to latitudes for dinner. Sat on the restaurant side, party of four. Wait staff was very attentive and we had quick service for the quality of food. Appetizers came out piping hot. The Brussels sprouts were crispy, and the aioli was a solid flavor match. The calamari was good too. The sauce on it was similar to a general tsao, but the pineapple's sweetness and acidity helped make the flavor better than a general tsao. The only negative was that the sauce made the calamari more soggy than crispy. For dinner I had the duck 2 ways. It was cooked a perfect medium rare, and tasted great. It was four slices of breast, over a grain with goat cheese, and asparagus. My wife's tenderloin was crazy tender, and cooked perfect. We had an additional steak, which was also great, and a seafood piaya which was full of mussels, clams andouille sausage and shrimp. I would come here again. read more

I'm definitely a fan of Lattitude. I've eaten here 6 times in as many years, and I've never been disappointed. The cocktail and wine selection is good, the appetizers are tasty, (try the roasted Brussels sprouts for a real treat!) entrees are always wonderful, and the desserts are good too. The only downside is that the dining room is small, and they maximize space by crowding the tables so tightly that you kind of feel like you're sharing your table with strangers. It's loud, and there is no privacy unless you're in a booth, but there aren't many of those. My advice is to go on a weeknight, when it's typically less crowded, for the best atmosphere. read more

My family loved going to this restaurant and previously service was fantastic. Well I just got hung up on by an extremely rude man trying to make a reservation for 10 people! I was trying to sit in one of the back rooms like the restaurant previously did for my family since we have younger children. Well he was writing down my information then says oh I need your credit card now for a non refundable $100 deposit for use of the room. I explained to him I wish you told me that ahead of time because that wasn't the case previously and we won't be keeping the reservation if that is the case and he just hung up the phone. Meanwhile my family has gone to the restaurant several times and have a history with the restaurant. Well you guys just lost our service! Also a huge bill for 10 people! read more

This place is living on an old reputation . Lunch on 5/17 almost a total disaster . The waiter began by telling us they were out of Muenster cheese, featured in numerous luncheon entrees and salads. Then he tells us no Briosche rolls . Really??? What's the problem ? My chop salad had so little tenderloin , it was pathetic. It also was minced up like dog food. My friend's burger was on par with McDonalds. Truly overpriced and inadequate . Furthermore, Several weeks ago , on a Sat eve, our reservation was not honored and we left after waiting 30 minutes beyond the reserved time. Management seems nonexistent. I've been here a few times but today's experience was well worth noting. My wife and I had gone out with the baby to take pictures with Santa and after we wanted brunch. The baby ended up falling asleep and we didn't want to wake her so we decided to get everything to go and take it home so the baby could sleep. Not only did they accommodate a menu request (blueberry pancakes instead of chocolate chip) but the host helped me walk my order out back to the car in the freezing rain. Once I got home they packed up everything we could have needed including syrup for the pancakes! I can't even get my local Chinese place to remember to give me duck sauce and that's like a no brainer. I really felt like they went the extra mile today in terms of their customer service and made my day that much better.
