Chicken Salad Sandwich with Mango Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade
    Dani A.

My first time here and not my last! Wish I had stumbled upon this place sooner. The set up reminds me of San Fransisco - such a fun vibe with all the bright colors! The chicken salad sandwich was unique and delicious - 10/10 yummy! The fries were covered in tasty seasoning with a dipping sauce :) I ordered the fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade and loved it. I can't wait the try more!

Getting hungry; the husband needed food asap while we were out shopping. We had just finished some groceries from Sam's club and needed to pick up some items from Aldi's around the corner. As soon as we entered the parking lot, he went from regular Eddie to hulk smash if I don't get a sandwich soon. And that is how we found Latin Deli. It's small, quaint, and a cute patio on the outside. You walk in to a little almost what a desert kiosk would be like at the mall with a fountain soda station, and some cucumber lime, horchata, and Jamaica constantly tumbling I. Their tanks. The menu is extensive, from Latin crepes, to sandwiches and salads, to even breakfast items. I opted for some chilaquiles, it was tomatillo heavy and super acidic which made it delightful. The beef was well done and paired nicely to the sauce. I would probably sauce on the side next time but man it was scrumptious. Eddie ordered a salad but somehow got a sandwich, which he enjoyed so much more than he would've a salad. Should we have checked? Probably but he was hungry and he wasn't complaining. Service was quick and delightful. If there's any issues, is that this place is on the pricier side. It was $30 for both our meals plus drinks which came out to almost 40ish dollars without tip, so it turned to $50. Would we come again? Probably on pay day.

My food came out fast and the space looked very clean and airy! I paid a total of $19 which included tip, my sandwich, and fries. It is a little pricey, BUT my pulled chicken sandwich was SO GOOD. It was very flavorful and a decent portion. I would go back for sure!

Food was ready when I ordered, which is a plus in my book! Prices were also very reasonable. In my opinion the fries were some of the best fries I have ever had! I would recommend! My coworkers were not impressed but I did really enjoy my sandwich.

I ordered the Cubano and it came stacked with flavor. The meat was well seasoned, a little tough, but tasty enough that I forgave it. The sauce was great and the portion size was generous, which is always a love language. The fries were the real surprise. Perfectly seasoned with this tangy, sweet, and spicy mix that kept me going back for more. Just the right amount of salt. The side sauce? Delicious, with enough kick to be interesting without burning your soul. Latin Deli also has a massive menu and an equally tempting dessert case, which felt a little unfair because now I have trust issues. There were cakes, pastries, and sweets just begging me to come back, and honestly, I will. Final verdict: A Cubano worth ordering, fries that deserve their own fan club, and more sandwiches and desserts than one visit can handle. I'll be back.

As someone who is a lover of Latin foods, and has had hundreds of Chilaquiles in their life, this is the most disappointing meal I've had in my life. Not only did they use the wrong cheese, but the Chilaquiles were not cooked at all when the tortillas were completely raw, giving them no crunch at all, and they were completely floppy, not to mention that the flavor was extremely bland and not reminiscent of any red or green Chilaquiles that I've ever had. It tasted like they put a little bit of salt and queso on it maybe, that's the only flavor you get. Stay far far away from this if you are Latino or if you've eaten real Latin foods. My girlfriend and I can easily make a better meal that looks far more appetizing and taste 1000 times better on any day. I was really looking forward to this because the people on Reddit were hyping it up to have good chilaquiles but this is actually atrocious. You can tell that this was made by white people nobody in that kitchen has ever spent a day south of the border. The huevos rancheros were slightly better, but they were far from authentic as well. My Mexican partner agreed that both dishes were huge disappointment. I would remove the term Latin from this restaurant name and just call it Americanized Deli. EDIT: about an hour after eating here, we got food poisoning and started throwing up.

Every Sunday in my family we pick a different spot for brunch and when it came around to my turn, I really wanted to try this place. It is an unassuming joint, located in a strip mall near an Aldi's but once you step in you realize you are in for a treat. The do a great job of creating ambiance and the food is absolutely incredible. The whole family was happy. And next time it's my turn to pick the brunch spot, we'll be going back.

I visited Latin Deli when they first opened and loved it! Over ten years later, the food still stands! I loved the chilaquiles. Such a delicious feast. I added eggs and chorizo and would do so again in a heart beat. The coffee was strong and the outdoor patio was perfect for us with our dogs. Definitely a solid spot that is tucked away in Dallas

This place is amazing! I was in Dallas visiting my sister and she insisted we have lunch here and I'm so glad she did. She and my daughter and my son and I shared a sandwich each and I regret it, they were so delicious! The service is pretty quick and everyone is super friendly. They also have a really nice outdoor seating area which is where we started but went inside because it was still too cold. Whenever I'm in Dallas I'm definitely stopping in here for a sandwich!

This is a small time shop with an indoor and outdoor seating. The chef who creates the menu has a great taste in food! There's many different, unique flavors. The place is very clean and the quality of ingredients are great too. They have a variety of coffee and pastry items. I recommend! :-)

Found this place while searching for a spot that had chilaquiles in Dallas. I'm so happy my friend and I decided to try it out this Sunday morning around 11, wasn't too busy and there was enough indoor and outdoor seating. We ended up going outside since the weather was so nice. We ended up ordering the chilaquiles chorizo, chicken sandwich, and mango cheesecake. Can I just say I've tried a handful of places in Texas to find the type of chilaquiles I've fallen in love with in San Francisco and this is the one spot that is super close to it. The sauce/salsa was amazing and I'm glad I got the chorizo. I didn't get a pic of the fan favorite aka chicken sandwich but my friend loved it and the way the chicken was flavored and everything else about it. I'll definitely get it next time or maybe even the chilaquiles with the chicken instead. Don't miss on trying this place out!

The ambiance and overall aesthetic of the space is nice. The music isn't loud so you can easily carry a conversation. My personal highlight from the night was the complimentary alcohol-free shot the very kind bartender provided for me. I'm sober so I appreciated feeling like everyone else! Lastly, the food was terrible and over priced. I was hoping to like the lobster bisque but was greatly disappointment. It taste like velvetta cheese and was extremely bland and lumpy. Almost like they receive it frozen and heat it up before serving. Out of all the 4 dishes, only the lamb chops were really good. One of my friends got the chicken Alfredo and said it taste like warmed up Olive Garden. My other friend got the Carne de Fuego which is suppose to be Waygu beef and wasn't. With a price of $59 with ONLY 4 pieces of asparagus as a side, we were expecting more. I ended up sending the lobster bisque back and settling for the caesar salad (no protein) which was $15.

Waited 15 minutes for our server after sat, she refused to believe we waited long, then was served old/stale Pan con Tomate + Jamón plate. We requested a new plate to replace but were asked to explain how the bread could be stale. Server came back to say that she tasted the dish and it was stale, so she would take off the bread and comp with fresh bread and butter. She ended up charging us for that anyways. For 2 drinks, 3 slices of jamon and $2 bread our bill was $32. After waiting and constantly needing to track down our server, we were late for our dinner reservation and needed to leave. I didn't leave a tip and she confronted TWICE, we didn't leave a tip. She then tried to go back to the payment terminal to ring something up so I can tip as if I made a mistake. I let her know that I didn't. 15% of 32 is $4.50. She proceeded to make a scene and got hostile/aggressive. Why are you not leaving a tip. Is it because of me personally or the service? She towered over the table and we had to uncomfortably explain it was not a pleasant experience and we hope the next time we come would be a bit different. Some days are just not our days. We are human. She didn't like our forced answer and left. We were shocked that we were confronted and chastised for not leaving a tip for subpar service, a confirmed unsatisfactory food dish AND was still charged for our "comped bread"which was only $2. This behavior conveys a gross lack of professionalism and understanding. The waitress perceived our actions as disrespectful and lacked understanding that we had a subpar experience given the circumstances. We were shocked and unfortunately left with the most bitter taste in our mouths (aside from the horrible and stale pan con tomate that was drenched in olive oil) We have heard great things about Cafe Madrid and the ambiance and live music was lovely. I'm sure the other dishes are great and that this can be a one off experience. But circumstances like these reflect training and the lack of standard for service and professionalism. Long story - We walked in on a Friday night around 7:30 for some drinks and a tapa before our late dinner reservation down the road. What was supposed to be a quick and enjoyable stop was unfortunately derailed by slow service, confusion in who was our server, STALE and old food and harassment from our waitress about no tip after the fact that our unsatisfactory meal was communicated and acknowledged. Some people have bad days and I understand. The behavior and lack of remorse didn't signal that. For a Friday evening, the restaurant was busy but multiple servers were attending every other table outside of ours after we were sat down by a hostess. After 15 minutes, I motioned to a server to ask to order and after a few minutes our waitress comes by hurriedly and a bit flustered. She asked if we waited a long time. After almost 18 minutes of waiting I was honest and let her know it's been some time. She didn't seem to understand why we were waiting a long time and didn't believe us. It was a small interaction and but I wanted the night to proceed in good spirits. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 tapas (pan con tomate and an order of Jamon). Super easy and quick orders. Our food and beverages come out after another 10 minutes. Unfortunately the bread was completely stale and the olive oil was completely soaking into the bread on other sections. It sounds contradictory that one piece of the bread would be super stale and the other completely soaked. But yes the dichotomy of quality of food was real. I waited another 8 minutes to finally track down our server and politely raise the concern and ask for another order. Our server pressed on to ask for specifics/validation on what the stale bread meant. Toasted bread is very different from stale. I'm not trying to be difficult or patronize so I awkwardly avoid having to explain after being questioned the difference between stale and toasted bread. She finally gives in and takes it away to have it replaced. She comes back and shared that the kitchen explained they had just made the pan con tomate that day so it was fresh. (I didn't know you can pre-make fresh bread with olive oil and crushed tomato's. But that makes sense if the bread was left sitting out pre-made for hours hence the soaked/stale consistency.) We have a pleasant conversation afterward and build rapport. It seems like the night was back on track. What proceeded to occur at the end of the night regarding a $32 bill with no gratuity derailed the whole night and makes a poor reflection on the restaurant.

However, I do feel there are some details that need more attention to elevate the overall experience. The white outdoor seat cushions looked extremely dirty, which took away from the otherwise beautiful atmosphere. I completely understand that the somewhat outdoor seating comes with exposure to the elements, but a stronger maintenance routine or even replacing the white cushions with a floral or patterned fabric could make a huge difference. It would not only hide wear better, but also complement the vibrant colors of the roses and décor beautifully. As for the food, it was okay but not particularly memorable. We ordered the Thursday special, which includes the meat board with rice and beans. While the $99 price point for the meats is reasonable, the portions of rice and beans were only enough for one person at most, which was disappointing for a shared meal experience. I also ordered the halibut and was honestly surprised by how small the portion was for $54. In my opinion, it was not worth the price. Overall, it was an okay experience. The restaurant is undeniably pretty and great for ambiance and photos, but the food and value did not quite match the setting. Unfortunately, it's not somewhere I would personally return to.
