Restaurant entrance.
Carlos D.

I came here with a group of friends who suggested it, so I was really just tagging along and didn't have high expectations either way. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great for me. Right from the start, the biggest disappointment was how many things they were out of. The drink I wanted? Out. The appetizer I asked for? Out. The dessert I was craving? Also out. That definitely set the tone for the evening. For my entrée, I ordered the vaca frita. It was good, but nothing memorable... I've definitely had better elsewhere. The service didn't make up for it either. Our waiter was very dry, with no personality, which made the whole experience feel flat. To be fair, I didn't have a bad experience with the actual food I did get, but overall, I wouldn't return. Why come back when most of what I wanted wasn't even available?

Pan tostado!

Came through for breakfast and it was a beautiful reminder of going to breakfast with my Abuelos when I was a kid. Literally had the same dish (see the photos) and the cafe con leche was fantastic. Great service as well as the waitress was very attentive and quick. Located in a busy spot and near plenty of the airport hotels. A great place to grab a meal at any given time. Nice outdoor seating as well if that is your thing.

The food, one word "Amazing!" The service was great, friendly and very fast. The layout inside was small, quaint with an island vibe oasis for the outside dinners.

Nice little diner with great selection of food. They have Monday through Sunday specials for a great price. The food was really good and service excellent. The watermelon juice was super good! They have outdoor seating and indoor. They also have an outdoor cafe area to get things to go. Parking available.

Latin cafe is solid. One of my favorite spots to hit up after arriving home from a flight. Prices are fare and food is excellent. Sevice and staff are always great.

The ham croquettes

My partner and I stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Its concept is similar to a classic American diner, but with Latin vibes and a Latin-inspired menu, which I really liked. The restaurant has a large indoor space, plus an outdoor terrace with many tables. In addition, there's an open takeaway window on one side, where people can buy Cuban coffee and other small items. We decided to sit inside. The restaurant was very clean, and all the furniture looked to be in great condition. Two waitresses came to take our order - one didn't speak much English, so the other translated for her. This was totally fine, as both ladies were extremely nice and sweet. The Spanish-speaking waitress was super attentive for the rest of our stay. She was always around, checked on our food and refills a couple of times, and brought the bill right when we asked for it. Great service! The restaurant menu is large and offers a good variety of food - mostly Cuban dishes. We wanted to try a few things, so we ordered four tapas: Beef Empanada + Ham & Cheese Empanada, Croquettes, Yuca Fries and Shrimp Ceviche. All of the food came out at once and pretty fast; we waited only about 10 minutes. The ham croquettes came in four pieces, served with a sauce that had a sweet flavor, somewhat similar to BBQ sauce. We liked the croquettes, and the sauce paired well with them. I had the ham & cheese empanada, and my partner had the beef empanada. We both agreed that the empanadas were tasty. By the way, I originally wanted the beef empanada too, but I asked if it had olives, and since it did, I skipped it, as I don't like olives. The yuca fries were very nice, and the portion was big! They came with garlic aioli on the side, which was very tasty. Last but not least, the shrimp ceviche was super delicious! Out of all four tapas, it was definitely my favorite. The ceviche had so much flavor! The shrimp were super fresh! The portion was generous; they definitely didn't skimp on shrimp. It also came with banana chips on the side, which was a great touch. To drink, I ordered watermelon juice, and it was absolutely fantastic - so fresh, flavorful, and tasty! I felt extremely happy drinking it. Our final bill for everything was $41, which I thought was reasonable. I especially want to highlight the $8.99 shrimp ceviche - an amazing deal for a large portion of fresh shrimp! I highly recommend ordering the shrimp ceviche as a starter; you won't regret it. Overall, the menu prices were very affordable and reasonable. Another plus of this business is that there are plenty of parking spots around the restaurant. But the only downside for me is the location - it's quite far from Miami center (where I live). The only way for me to get there is by driving, and from Midtown it's at least a 15-minute drive. Because of the location, this isn't a place I would visit regularly. Unfortunately! But I definitely wish to return to this place soon and eat there again. And I 100% recommend everyone visit this restaurant at least once. I'm sure you won't regret it!

Amazing chicken dishes at the Latin Cafe! So delicious!!!

This place is amazing!!! Very chill, clean, and a great atmosphere!!! Not sure why it doesn't have better stars/review. It seems like all the locals go here. The service was amazing! Everyone was very nice and helpful. The food was seriously delicious! Everything had plenty of flavor, not too much seasoning, not bland at all, just perfect! Everything seemed to be fresh or cooked perfectly! Sitting outside with nice music, and amazing weather was a perfect way to spend our evening at the Latin Cafe.

My favorite place for many cuban dishes that include arroz con pollo, picadillo and chicken churrasco with moros... I've literally tried and enjoyed everything on the menu. After 25 years of loyalty, I am still enjoying their food..! The customer service is top notch and I am always attended to with a courteous smile. The managers are very polite and professional and they go above and beyond to ensure I am always happy with everything. Need I say more? Visit Latin On LeJeune at least once before you die!!

What went well...everything!!!+The service, the food, the ambiance was nothing less than outstanding. We arenout with our travel buds and decided we wanted cuban cuisine prior to the next leg of our flight. We decideded on Latin Cafe based on suggestions from our hotel. We are a part 0f 10, and upon arrival no tables were set up to accommodate our group...No problem, we were seated and additional tables added seamlessly. Water and table utisels arrived quickly followed with placement of our order. Food came quickly....all I can say is " there was love in each and every plate". Truly an experience worth repeating. The waitress Ahled, was superb, working our table alone, she did not kiss a beat. What a treat......

Pollo empanizado

When I come to Miami, this is one of the first places I come to. Their food is alway good. I had the breaded chicken, pollo empanizado, and it was fantastic. As you can see, plenty of food. It's so good. I also come here for breakfast. That is also so good and priced just right. The coffee is a must. Especially in the morning. Come eat here. Easy in and out, well kinda. I recommend it.

Churrasco and Platanos Maduros

I've come here a few times and have tried a few different things on the menu, it never disappoints. The food is great, service is wonderful, and I love sitting on the patio. Some of my faves are the croquetas, queso frito, churrasco, and mango citrus salad. I will say that the flan and the cheesecake are just okay. There's something about the flavor that's lacking. Overall, this is like comfort food in Miami. Standard, you know what you're getting, and it's delicious!

But first... Cafécito!
Cristina O.

Stopped by after some cocktails for some cafecito and dessert. Love the outdoor patio area that makes you forget you are literally sitting feet away from Le Jeune! Palms, striped couches & misting fans feel comfortable & tropical like a lil oasis en la 42! We had Cafecito Cubano & split a Flan de Coco. Perfect way yo end the night & we loved our adorable waitress Cici!

A lil coffee

Five of us ordered: 5 Cafecitos 1 Pan con Lechon 3 Pan con Bistec 1 Coladita 1 Timba Came out to $107.45 including a $10 tip. We already had a memorable Cubano sandwich so we explored other options. The Lechon was by far the crowd favorite flavor wise, but it is heavier with the pork fat. The garlic sauce is a must to help cut through the richness. We left supremely happy with the salty and garlicky fat flavors lingering on our tastebuds, rejuvenated by a quick shot of velvety espresso, and capped off with the sweet guava and tangy queso crema shake (La Timba). This location is nestled in a food court style area, with a few restaurants offering sit down table service as well. And when I say offering, the sales tactics are reminiscent of timeshare sales zombies standing in an idle state until you mistakenly stop for a BEAT and then it's game on for them. Luckily at Sanguich, they have a few dedicated seats and tables for themselves and they'll come drop your order for you. A little bit of a scavenger hunt to find it, but well worth the adventure. The views out on the water are a bonus too.

Couldn't get enough of how good the bread was and everything just blended together so well. This location is amongst many, many restaurants but Sanguich still gets a line out the door. They do have a small patio in front of the storefront for you to enjoy the meals. The service was a bit slow, but totally understandable as they take their time crafting the sandwiches. We ordered the El Cubano [$14.99] which is their most basic sandwich. The taste was definitely not basic, though! Loved every juicy, crunchy bite of that sandwich. It's kind of shareable, but I could have easily scarfed down both if I was hungry enough. We also got the Boniato Fries [$5.25] which are sweet potato fries but better, and lighter. I think they use "white" sweet potato, according to Google. Whatever it is was good! Also tried their Croquettas [$4.50] which came w/2. Super tasty and satisfying! Everything we had was spot-on! Sanguich needs to be on everyone's "To-Do" list when visiting Miami.

We ordered a ton, and right off the bat: if you love croquetas and empanadas, order extra. They're on the smaller side and come individually, but they are so good they disappear fast. The beef empanadas were a 10/10 perfectly seasoned and crispy. The chicken empanadas didn't hit the same for me, but the jamón croquetas? Absolutely insane. A must. For appetizers, the prawns al ajillo were delicious super flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was good, but not my favorite. It leaned a bit bland for my taste, even with the sauce. Now, the must-get: the carnitas with pickled onions. Easily one of the best dishes of the night so flavorful, tender, and perfectly balanced. For entrées, we had the ribeye steak and arroz con pollo, plus sides of tostones and yuca. Everything here delivered. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right not overly salty. The arroz con pollo was phenomenal, the kind of dish you could eat every single day. The tostones were crispy and tossed in garlic, which took the flavor to another level, and the yuca was melt-in-your-mouth good. I also ordered a mojito, which unfortunately was very watered down, I barely got any of that classic mojito flavor. Service overall was solid, especially considering how loud the restaurant gets it was honestly hard to hear each other at the table, so shoutout to our server for keeping everything straight. The appetizers came out quickly, back-to-back, which we loved. The only downside was the wait for the entrées they took quite a while after we finished the apps, even though we ordered everything at once. Overall, amazing food, great energy, and definitely worth going just be prepared for a lively (and loud) atmosphere.

I decided to get the Cuban breakfast with a guava smoothie. The platter was a 5 out of 5 for me. I loved the pork belly, the eggs, the potatoes, and the salad! And the smoothie was refreshing, though I wish there was an option to mix the flavors. Do you know how good a mango guava smoothie would have been?! My girlfriend got the same thing that I did, but they completely forgot it. She didn't receive hers until 15 minutes later... And though it seems like a simple request, they would not honor her request to swap out the potatoes for toast. They offered a free dessert which was nice due to the error, but we agreed we've had way better tres leches cake, haha. That incident aside, the restaurant was very nice.
