This is an awesome Peruvian restaurant. The plates are ample, reasonably priced - with great service! We ordered fried calamari to begin well cooked battered to perfection lomo saltado plate was full of flavored perfectly cooked lomo tender onions and tomato's on point, for the kids we ordered arroz chaufita(fried rice w/ chicken) it was well seasoned kids enjoyed it. Ambiance was inviting family welcome environment, customer service exceptional.

Please note that although this says happy hour ends at 6:30 PM, it's actually 6 PM. And for goodness sake, don't ask them about it!

We swung by to indulge in their happy hour, arrived about 6:15 PM and after we were seated in a completely empty restaurant - not a soul at any table or at the bar - he said that the happy hour actually ended at 6 PM. I showed him their website which said it ended at 6:30, and he said he would mention it to the owner, but there were no deals available. Ok, fine. We were going to let it slide and just order some things anyway when the same guy came over to our table and stuck his phone in my face and told me to show him on his phone where on their website it said 6:30. I did (again), but at that point having an employee angrily confront us in a completely empty restaurant was too much so we bailed. I can handle not getting as good a deal, but the confrontation was absolutely too much.

We went there to celebrate my friend's birthday. Every dish is delightful and authentic per my Peruvian friend. The entire crew came out to sing her happy birthday with traditional drum and all. Must try if you're in Houston.

My manager at my workplace recommended this place, and I decided to try it out with a friend who loves Latin cuisine. We always want ceviche, and Latin Bites' ceviche is something I wish I could eat regularly (if only I didn't live a bit far away). The only thing my friend and I didn't expect was how large the portion size would be. Eating the ceviche between the two of us filled us up to the point that we could barely eat half of our entrees. You really do get a bang for your buck out of it. Although the churrasco wasn't tender enough, the flavors and chimichurri sauce were still tasty. I have no complaints about the yucca fries either -- they were fried and flavored to perfection! The rotisserie chicken was also good and not dry at all. It was still tasty by the next day as leftovers too. I'd love to come here again and try more of their foods!

If you want to try a Latin place, I highly recommend this restaurant. -The food was savory. I definitely felt the authenticity in the appetizers and the paella. The presentation of the food was phenomenal. - customer service was great and the staff was friendly. I honestly loved the vibe. It was modern with a twist of spanish. Prices are great!

This restaurant is amazing! I had the empanadas- beef and spinach for an appetizer. They were so flavorful and so tasty! For my entree I had the lomo saltado. This dish was awesome! Service was fast and friendly. Waiter answered all of our questions and knew the menu very well. Easy parking not too crowded. Their limonada was FRESH and delicious! Definitely will be back to try more.

As a Peruvian who has lived in Texas for more than 42 years and travels to Peru every year, I can say that Latin Bites is the best Peruvian restaurant in Houston. It really has the flavors of the restaurants in Peru. Please, if you want to know what Peruvian food is all about, go to Latin Bites. Do not waste your money going to other so-called Peruvian restaurants in Houston. There is no comparison, and the prices are very comparable to those of the other Peruvian restaurants. The drinks, food, ambiance, and service are A plus. Diego, Michael, and the whole crew are outstanding. We travel two hours every time to eat at Latin Bites.

Upscale classy vibe with upbeat music when you walk in. We ordered an appetizer of beef heart skewers called anticuchos that were so tender and delicious covered in rocoto sauce. The sauce has a little kick and so delicious. Then my husband and I shared the trio plate that had lomo saltado, carne secó, and pollo desabrado with a side of canary beans. If you are looking for a refreshing drink you must have chica morado. Then we treated ourselves to Alfahoras, which were cookie sandwiches filled with creamy milky filling. Overall a great visit and we look forward to returning.

    Taco ceviche

Came here for their happy hour specials. The mojito was good as well as the ceviche tacos. I will be coming back just for those!! The empanadas were also great, and brussel sprouts were yummy just too salty. My husbands fried rice was also too salty, and not sure it's worth the price. Staff is really nice too! Overall, I'm a happy customer!

I believe the chef also cooks for the Peruvian embassy here sometimes in Houston. The inside of their restaurant is decorated in a very intimate way with cultural aspects from the two countries. You already know I HAD to get ceviche when coming to a Peruvian restaurant. I got the ceviche chalaco, which includes mahi-mahi, octopus, shrimp, racoto-aji leche de Tigre, choclo, sweet potato puree, cancha, topped with fried cuttlefish. It has a nice citrus flavor and the leche de Tigre base is soo good. I actually really liked the mahi-mahi, and the fried cuttlefish was fried to perfection with the fish inside still being soft and delicious. That sweet potato puree really elevates the dish as well, it helps counter the citrus flavor but adds another dimension of flavor. My friend got the lomo saltado and it was so so good. The beef was so tender and easy to chew. The soy-oyster sauce they use makes this dish soooo so good. I love the steak fries drenched with the sauce too. I got the arroz con Mariscos. I remember they used to put squid ink in the rice back then. They infuse the rice with aji Amarillo (green pepper sauce?) and top it with shrimp, clams, mussels, octopus, cod, and sarza criolla (vinegar onions). It's basically a seafood paella. This was actually pretty mild in flavor compared to the lomo saltado. The rice was good and almost creamy like but I don't think I was a fan of the corn/bean like pieces in the rice? The seafood itself was good as well, especially the shrimp. If you come here you need to for sure get the ceviche and lomo saltado. They also have sushi rolls that you can order as well, they seem like very unique ones too

This time I called in an order for tallarines saltados and two whole chickens for my family. They told me it would be ready in an hour, which was fine. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner handed me the food and casually said he replaced my tallarines with lomo saltado -- without asking me first. He said it was "a better choice" and that they were out of tallarines. I told him clearly that I did not want lomo saltado, but he kept insisting, so I just took it to avoid arguing. When we got home, the real problem started -- both chickens were undercooked, tough, and hard to chew. It was so bad that I told my kids and family not to eat any of it, and I ended up throwing everything in the trash. I paid good money for this meal, and we didn't get to eat at all. Changing an order without consent and serving raw chicken is not acceptable. I won't be coming back.
