WOW smh Yellow rice tasted like box yellow rice No salt no season on chicken The ribs where burn the churrasco was burned ! On top of that we got charged almost 80 dollars and received so much rice. I've only ever ordered take out and delivery from here, so I can't really say how the dine-in service is. However, from the experiences I have had, this is a solid place for a good meal. 1) I love the ribs! I usually get a combo of half ribs and half chicken with rice, fries, or salad. They're pretty generous with the portions, so a combo can safely feed about 4 people. 2) The prices are fair considering the large servings and quality of flavor. 3) Delivery can take long (up to 30-45 mins), so make sure to order well in advance before the super hungry/starving point. Latin BBQ catered for a work event and left their business cards there for us to visit at a later date. We had the most juicy, flavorful chicken I've ever experienced. The rice was so soft and fluffy and the ribs were to die for. I ended up visiting the restaurant a few months later and tried the skirt steak, grilled chicken, a hamburger, sweet plantain and freshly made pineapple juice. Every single thing was AMAZING. This restaurant is 30 mins from my house but worth the drive. Definitely somewhere I'll frequent for lunch/dinner. read more

It was so easy to make the order over the phone, the Internet via my cellphone was more of a challenge. Speedy delivery. Delicious well seasoned pork spare ribs, perfectly charred. The beef ribs were over cooked and lacked seasoning. I wanted to sub starches for veggies and the only offering wS a tossed salad. Very nice folks to deal with. The prices are kinda high for the portions--$16 bucks for a combo of pork ribs and beef ribs. So I guess the owners changed, the food didn't taste as good as it usually does. I ordered the whole chicken with rice and fries and a order of beef ribs(told the guy well done) and it came raw on the inside so disgusting, made me nauseous. The rice tasted like yellow boxed rice, very disappointed. Sad to say but I wont be ordering ever again from here. If the new owners are Dominican they should just stick to making it Dominican food and not try to cook Portuguese style food. read more

Awesome bbq w huge portions and great flavors. Had Combo 1 w beef ribs and spare ribs, rice and fries. A while back we had the baby skirt steak which is smaller portion but very tasty and tender. The homemade juices are also really good, especially liked the blackberry one. A go to nearby :) read more

Holy smokes. . . Finally tried this place after passing it by a million times on the way home. My GF and I walked in and were not very hopeful as I always take an empty restaurant as a bad sign. We decided to order take-out since we were pretty tired and practically home. Delivery might be a better option than waltzing in and ordering as it did take about 15 min perhaps more for our food. I have to say as soon as I was handed our packaged dinner I was already shocked. It was heavy! This was a lot of food for under 20 bucks. We rushed home and unraveled our epic meal. (Boy was I glad the woman who took my order talked me out of ordering 2 combos) We ordered just one combo and a steak sandwich. Had we just ordered the combo we would of been alright, the ribs were amazing and they go heavy on the sides. We had rice for days. The sandwich was also great and has now become a lunch staple when I am working from home. This place is definitely easy to overlook as you cruise down JFK but I highly recommend giving it a try. read more

The only thing that keeps me from giving this place 5 stars is the fact that I haven't ate at lots of BBQ places before this one, but after trying a burger here I am definitely a fan! I visited the restaurant on a wednesday night and from the beginning I was greeted and treated very well. I could tell that it was a family establishment which I loved because it was such a warm atmosphere from the second I walked in. I waited a little more than ten minutes after ordering a burger and fries and I've got to say it was DELISH! The meat in the burger was fresh and right off the grill, the vegetables also fresh and the fries were perfect, crunchy but not rock hard. Plus, they constantly asked me if I needed certain condiments, ketchup, mayo,etc. for my meal. This is a GREAT place to eat so make sure you pass by whenever you can! ( I know I will) read more

Just moved here (Union City NJ) from Texas 4 months ago so we know good bbq when we taste it. We stopped into this local restaurant to try some Latin BBQ. We intended to do a take out run but we really enjoyed talking with the staff while we ordered, so we decided to stay and eat. We had BBQ chicken and ribs. The chicken had a great smoky smell and taste but the best thing about the chicken was the moist, perfectly cooked texture of the chicken meat. BBQ chicken can be dry but this was really moist and perfectly seasoned to give a nicely balanced BBQ flavor. The ribs were good too but I made a mistake by ordering them medium/rare. They would have been much better cooked well. That said, they were delicious! Highly recommend for a kwick, casual eat in, take out, or delivery experience. It's great to have you in our neighborhood Latin BBQ! We'll be back soon. read more

I would have absolutely loved to try their food, except upon placing an order at 8:00pm last night (1 hr before they close) they called our hotel room and said that they had stopped cooking for the night. Best BBQ I've had in a long time! Had the usual Brazilian type churrascaria buffet in various cities around the US, but the quality of the food here is excellent. My wife and I had the combination plate, which had tons of chicken, beef, and pork, in the form of ribs, steaks and chops. Loved the plantains and the yellow rice too. The value of food and customer service you receive is probably why there are tons of return customers and regulars singing the praises of the large quantities and low prices. From the ordering process, to receiving our delivery.. Everything was superb. I had to order a last minute meal for 15 guys in my office and I thought nobody would be able to help me so late in the day. But as soon as I called they reassured me my order would be no issue to fulfill. They went above and beyond and changed my combos into buffet style platters so that I could lay it out perfectly in our lunch room. We'll let me start by saying that it was clean inside. The staff was very friendly and the meal I had was huge! I got half rack of pork ribs,half of a chicken, french fries and yellow rice. The ribs were very dry which was very disappointing. The chicken was very good, moist and flavorful. The yellow rice was gross it is definitely out of the box Goya, it had a artificial garlic smell and taste. The BBQ sauce comes on the side which I like but it tasted like it was mixed down with ketchup. I placed an order for delivery for two meals and was quoted 45 minutes for the delivery after I'd already paid for the order, which is longer than I would have liked and would have liked to be told in the beginning. But the delivery actually took 1 hr and 24 minutes. Which is outrageous, especially considering this place is a 9 minute drive away from my apartment. Upon reviving my order, the only thing that was good was the yellow rice. The french fries were dried out and had a terrible consistency. The chicken breast was flatten to death and drenched in garlic sauce. Maybe if I order the sauce on the side, it'd be better but I doubt it. It was a really sad looking pieces of chicken. Honestly, the meal wasn't worth the wait at all. Maybe for pickup the food would be ready a lot more promptly and then it'd be worth it but I rather go out to Spanish places in LES then wait 1 hr+ for meh food. read more

I ordered a half a chicken and a half of ribs got it delivered today at my business in union city at about 7:30 my food arrived at about 8:15 tipped the driver and set the plates for my wife and to eat and when I open my container of food saw only fries and rice no meat. I called and spook to the lady who answered the phone and told her I only got a plate of rice and fries no meat. She insisted they put the meat in the container. I told her I'm looking at my container of food and there is no meat . She told me that it can't be because she was sure she put the food herself I said to her that I own a business and I'm 43 years old and I don't play games. She said come by Tom for a discount . She gave me an attitude when I said I don't want a discount just want what I paid for she said they turned of the charcoal grill and would not turn back on and that did give me the meat. I said to her let me speak to owner she said she was the owner and that her name was Jisenia . I never in my life felt so disrespected for telling a business that I did not get what I paid for . This business is new and I will never ever go there again. Learned that in the future like when you go to the drive tru at a fast food and don't check the bag after you have paid and find out you did not get your complete order. I am not one to leave a review unless I had an extremely unpleasant experience. In this case I had a five star experience. I order Uber eats once a week, and am rarely satisfied with how my food is delivered. Either the packaging isn't right for what is ordered, the portions aren't as big when carrying out, tempature is off or the food is just wrong. In this case I received delicious ribs with two sides that could have fed a family of 2-3 for the price of 1. In addition the take out container was perfect for what was being delivered to me. It wasn't a foam take out container or plastic container that makes your food soggy once it arrives. It was an aluminum tray wrapped with tin foil to prevent soggy ness, a trick you think in 2018 all take out places would know by now. The entire experience from the delicious food, to the delivery time, to the actual packaging of the food was A+. I highly recommend the ribs to all who have a craving. I'd also recommend getting a salad as one of your sides. They do something with the carrots that make them addicting. They are like pickled carrots with a kick of spice. Not sure if it was a dressing or what. I can't explain it, but very delicious. read more
