The client, who has no dental training, ultimately has to decide whether to accept the treatment. After speaking to the DMO insurance company about the treatment I was informed by the DMO that I was misled about the purpose of the treatment. I tried to negotiate with the staff and office manager to get the cost of the treatment back. The office manager took my call and told me that I approved the charge at time of service. This is true. I did approve a misrepresented treatment and its charge. I was also told she would talk to the owner dentist about my claim. This never happened. Then, by email, I asked to talk to the owner dentist and I even offered to pay part of the charge as a compromise. The office manager never responded to me on two separate email attempts. I consider these business practices unscrupulous and poor customer service overall. Ghosting customers may be the social trend, but it's very poor customer service! Fulshear Modern Dentistry seems to overlooking all the choices their customers have for dental care in the area. The situation/charge above was in dispute with my credit card company initiated by me. This dispute was unanswered by the office manager. However, my bill is paid in full even though I was unable to work something out with the office manager due to her lack of response.

Also told me I needed a deep cleaning in the back on 2 teeth. It's been 2 weeks and I still cannot chew on that side and it's super sensitive to cold. The other day I went back for a filling. The dentist drilled my tooth for literally an hour and a half (I chose no Novocain)! While performing the filling she was very rough and said well you wouldn't feel it if you had the Novocaine. It was as if she trying to break me down and submit to the novocaine. It was beyond ridiculous! I have never had a dentist treat me that way. The side of mouth has an open sore and oozing where her equipment and hands pulled on the side of mouth. I also have sores on my lips from having the metal equipment against my lips for so long. I finally had to tell her stop and that I was done! She walked me the front and did not say a word! Very inexperienced & unprofessional. If u want to go to the most amazing dentist in Fulshear go to Dr. Lathrop. My insurance changed so I can no longer go there after 8years

After having a pretty gnarly accident with a broken tooth, I made an appointment for an evaluation and they were able to get me in same day. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Their office was clean, welcoming, and felt very relaxing. I have some awful past experiences with other dentists/procedures, so a welcoming staff/office on first impression was very important to me. They quickly were able to identify my issues, and they referred me to a specialist for another issue. Their reference was fabulous. They also explained (in-depth) what I needed done, what my options were, and what the financials would be. I came back a week later for my tooth extraction, and I was even MORE impressed this time. I was very, very terrified of having a tooth removed--I was having difficulties remaining calm. The hygenist was AMAZING. She kept reassuring me, explaining what the dentist was doing, and helped me stay relaxed (even when I was literally crying and shaking). The dentist did a great job, as well, by remaining calm/kind and explaining his steps. After my procedure was over, the staff did an amazing job making me feel taken care of, including providing everything I need to care for myself after the procedure. I HIGHLY recommend this office, and I will be using them for future dental needs for myself and my family!!!

My kids had an appointment and I was planning to make a future appointment for later in the month, maybe after Thanksgiving. Though luckily or unluckily the receptionist said they could see me right away and I didn't have to wait. Hesitant, I reluctantly said "yes". I am so glad I did, Dr. Chacko was very knowledgeable and gentle. I recall the painful dentist needle injections and drilling I had received from other dental office visits. Not so here, her and her assistant. Anya, were very gracious helping bring new life to these well used teeth with little discomfort. They even helped me save a few bucks, enrolling in a dental plan with significant discounts for treatments and preventative maintenance.

"Range"of cost for root canal suggested by Dr prior to surgery was around $1200. Find it hard to believe that since the base cost of the root canal was $1644, the Dr didn't know this was a low estimate . Imagine my surprise on check out after what I can only describe as a friendly but painful procedure for the final bill to be $2450. Would never have done it had I had any idea. My fault for not being more pointed in questioning. LAST ROOT CANAL EVER! Add to the RC a new crown at $1200 plus and the economics suggest pull the tooth or get an implant which has lower risk of future problems.

The Christian persona and mission work he does apparently don't extend to his practice. Last year, I had a crown that fell off and my dentist recommended that I see Dr. Campbell to make sure there wasn't a problem with the root canal that Dr. Campbell had performed prior to the crown being put on. I was in a lot of pain, but when I contacted his office, I was told he was going out of town on a mission trip and they would not let me see the other doctor in the practice because I had originally seen Dr. Campbell. So I had to wait 24 days to see him, in pain the entire time. When I finally got in, they took x-rays (and refused to request the existing x-rays from my dentist). They then performed a CT before I even saw the doctor, but when I questioned this, I was brushed off and just told that the doctor would go over everything with me. When I finally saw Dr. Campbell, he looked at the x-rays only and told me that everything looked great. I specifically asked if he could tell everything from the x-ray and was told yes. When I asked why the CT was performed, he only then looked at it and just said again that everything was great. He then walked me to the front office, handed off my chart and left. It was then that I was informed that I owed $150 for the CT because insurance never covers them. I said that is not acceptable at all for several reasons. The first is I hadn't even seen the doctor and he hadn't looked at any x-rays to see if a CT was even warranted. Secondly, I should have been told that the office would like to do a CT scan, but that insurance wouldn't cover it, and asked if I would be okay with that. The fact that it was just done and I was told after the fact that it wasn't covered and hit with a large bill is very deceptive and even unethical. At this time, I asked to speak with Dr. Campbell to let him know that I couldn't believe that I was being charged and expressed that things should have been done differently. His response was that it was needed for diagnostic purposes. I replied and said at first you didn't even pull up the CT until I asked about it and had already told me that you could see everything from the x-rays. He said that is just the way our office does things. However, their own website says of the CT scan, "Dental Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient." Since the x-ray had not even been reviewed, they could not have known that they would be insufficient (when by Dr. Campbell's own words, they were sufficient), thus the CT scan should not have been performed. A few days later, I wrote Dr. Campbell a letter, expressing my disappointment in the way the entire thing was handled and his response was "Roger that, sorry to lose you as a patient. My standards are my standards which are very high apparently compared to your value in my expertise and your dental health." There are lots of good endodontists in the Houston area - find one that doesn't perform procedures that he knows will not be covered and are of questionable necessity without even bothering to talk to you about the financial impact of his practices on you. We all know that performing the CT did not cost him anywhere close to $150, but keeping that profit was more important to him than his patient.
