Another amazing meal at Urban Grub. I cannot come to 12 south area without eating here. We always…read morehave excellent service. The food is divine. The place is always packed... for a reason! I had 1/2 dozen raw oysters to start. My server helped me select which one we thought I would like best and they were amazing with the migionette. So fresh & cold & delicious. My son got the crispy brussels sprouts for his starter and devoured them. They were delicious with the best balance of flavors & textures. Also a nice generous portion. Wedge salad was so tasty. Entrees were scallops with the most delicious succotash, and rabbit ragu which was absolutely delicious. I can't say enough good things about our food and experience. Can't wait to come back! Oh and can't forget dessert.... The peaches & cream bread pudding 10/10!

They were packed when we arrived for our reservation and we were sat right away! The waitress was so kind and went over the menu and how they do there meats after knowing this was our first time at there. They have a butcher on site, their seafood is brought in daily and house made pasta. She said they even have a pastry chef. But we didn't make it to dessert this time. We ordered the cornbread appetizer that comes with hot honey and whipped butter. It's served in a little dish like a cake. It was tender with whole corn on the inside. We didn't realize they also bring complementary gluten-free cheese, puffs turnovers, and mini biscuits . Those were out of this world!! The cheese puffs pull apart and have white cheddar inside! The biscuits were perfect!! Our main course was the club carbonara pasta( house made pasta with chicken and bacon) and the steak frites (with chimichurri sauce). I got the Sauvignon Blanc it was fruity and fresh! The place was upscale and seemed to be a lot of larger parties. We will definitely be back.

I picked this place almost randomly, mostly because it was in the area I needed to be, open when I…read moreneeded it to be open, and it had a private parking lot, so I didn't have to hassle with validation or other parking nonsense. I missed it at first, it doesn't really look like a restaurant on the outside when you're driving by for the first time and their sign sits on the ground and is only mostly visible from the other direction. We walked in, having never been there before, and not seeing sign about choosing your own seat or waiting to be seated. Despite being right there I had to go up and get the attention of the people behind the bar because they hadn't noticed us walk in. Mostly I didn't want to just sit down and have no one even realize we were there. Our server was very nice, attentive, cheerful, and pleasant. After a few minutes she asked us what we wanted and we replied we didn't have menus yet, then she showed us the little standup on the table I had ignored because they're usually for drink specials, was actually a QR code to get the menu and it was only digital. Not so impressive now that the pandemic has been over for a while. I forget the name of the burger I got, but it came with candied bacon, jalapeños, sautéed onions, and cheese. I could definitely taste and feel the jalapeños, and it had a "bacon" taste, but I sadly found it unremarkable. If I had to guess, they smashed raw, unseasoned beef onto the griddle, and then doused it was salt. I couldn't really taste beef, but I could definitely taste salt. The fries were better than decent, crispy, tasted good, but not mind blowing. For the user experience nitpicks, I already mentioned walking in and seeing no sign and having to get someone's attention. There was a lightbulb above where we were that was flickering like a haunted house, and the table wasn't level and rocked every time you shifted your weight. Again, our server was great, kept the drinks filled, answered questions easily, and was very pleasant. Bottom line: I don't think I'll be going back. It was a solid ok, but nothing drawing me back. They have a full bar, so maybe it's perfect for you or it's a party on the weekend. I'd say give it a try if you're in the area; the prices were pretty decent.

First of all, the service is INCREDIBLE!!! Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming for 7am opening. They were extremely helpful with recommendations, and even provided complimentary mini cinnamon iced biscuits which were to die for. It was a casual dining spot, but the interior is so welcoming and cozy. The food exceeded expectations -- yard bird biscuit was a hit and my husbands chicken and waffles hit the spot for him as well. This is the only spot we had during our first trip to Nashville that we will absolutely plan to return to on our next visit. Thank you MSBC!

I got the biscuits and sausage gravy and my partner had the avocado toast. The food came out pretty quickly and the portion size was generous! They also brought us two cinnamon biscuits that were complimentary. They were a sweet little treat that were really tasty. I felt like my gravy was just a touch salty, but my partner said it was fine. I tend to not like a ton of salt in my dishes, so it's probably me. Parking - validate inside for free! Don't pay for it. Overall, a nice experience. It was just a touch cold inside, though.
