I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable…read more I visited the Oxon Hill, MD location on a Saturday morning and waited in line for over 2.5 hours--along with approximately 50-60 other customers--while only ONE employee was operating the entire store and register. We were told that multiple staff members called out, leaving a single manager ("One") to handle everything alone. While I empathize with the employee, this reflects a serious failure in management and corporate planning by Ross Stores. There was no backup support, no urgency to resolve the situation, and no communication to customers about how it would be addressed. A 2.5-hour wait to check out is not just inconvenient--it's unreasonable and raises concerns about customer safety, store security, and employee conditions. One customer was elderly utilizing assisted walking device. They didn't announce cashier shortages until 2 hours into our waiting in line. If the items that I was picking up were not urgent, I would've walked out and many people did. This experience completely changed how I view this location. I strongly urge corporate to review staffing practices and implement contingency plans so customers are not subjected to this level of neglect. I hope this is taken seriously, as no customer should have to go through this.

They are not the most friendly in there to begin with and then top it off with a dose of insult in the customers face. Of course she called the store to complain but who knows what happened if anything at all. Best I can do is not spend my money where my service is not valued.

It looks like this store gets items not sold at other chains. Not all of the items are quality. The best items are the men's athletic clothes. There were new basketball shorts for $3.99. I found a fun black top that might make an appearance at a future Yelp event for $9.00. Most of the aisles were neat . It could be a full time job just picking up after customers. There were many employees in the store but not at the registers. Two registers were open. There were four or five employees behind the register area without any sense of urgency. I wasn't trying to come here and I can't say I will return to this location.

I asked for the manager on the clock which was a nice man with dreadlocks and as nice as he's always been being that we've started to go to that store since it opened so we've seen him before n he rung us out before as well today he was completely useless and it might be because it was a busy time or they just had enough of that lady and her rants because when I started to speak she started to curse and talk over me which he had to tell her to stop and keep doing her job MIND YOU SHE STILL RINGING MY stuff and my mother teenage sister and toddler son asking why she's being rude why shes saying bad words why shes calling me fat body shaming me and threatening with what we can only assume is ice giving the days we're all living in now in the country and needing to stick together. I had to sit there and tell my 4 year old that we don't say bad things to people or bad words and to never argue with someone whose older than him in the mean time while my mother in the verge of tears telling her teenager not to comment on the matter that sometimes people are just cruel and unprofessional. I was given nothing but the lady name from the receipt from the lady after the manager didn't let me get through HALF of the things that happened and said he will talk to his boss tomorrow and that's it. NO APOLOGIES NO GUIDANCE ON WHO OR WHERE I CAN CALL AND COMPLAIN OR WHAT WILL BE DONE ABOUT IT nothing nothing nothing nothing I had to ask the security guy who again we're regulars and we know familiar faces and vise versa gave me more information where I can reach out to Burlington and go from there. its so unbelievable I have never felt so unsafe and disrespected before
