There is a clause in the policy that says no returns on unused / unsealed product in which makes no sense if the product is sold without a seal. I've been in this beauty supply store 3 times in the month since I relocated to Maryland. Each time I have found what I needed with ease. The store layout is spacious and the variety of extensions are awesome! Today I went in to find a wavy bob wig and with the assistance of the helpful wig attendant I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. She made great suggestions of what would look nice on me and was very patient. She offered to cut the lace from the wig once I paid and she did a great job (way better than I would have) with the hair line. The store is just big for nothing. Don't waste your time here or the mental anguish of being followed. We came back inside and there was an active robbery happening next door at the liquor store. First timer here! Oftentimes, I want to try new hair products on myself, but there are no beauty supply stores in the area. I did a quick Yelp search one day and came across this place. On the day of my visit, they were having some type of celebration. Music, give-aways, and a ton of people. BOY OH BOY...this place had every hair-care product I could imagine. Everything you could imagine from dye to hair beads for little girls. I even purchased a hooded dryer (because I love them and it's been years since I last owned one). They also carry all the human and synthetic hair you want, including wigs. That particular day, if you spent over a certain dollar amount, you were able to 'spin the wheel'. I actually won some blue hair. I couldn't use the hair, but it was a nice gesture. The store is very large and prices seem to be on target. Went here yesterday and got some hair. The black girl at the register was leaned over laying across the register doing nothing. Very uncouth. I asked her "Excus me, How many packs of this hair do you think i will need for a full head?" She looked up then away. She said "*eyeroll* iont know...as the girl behind the counter over there......next in line!!!" If your employees dont want to be there then please send them home. I came to this location and spent $125. There was a half wig on display with no indication of the exact item number. I grabbed the wig that looked like the one on the display. After getting home the wig was not the same. Came to exchange it for the correct wig that was on display and there was no regard to help assist me with an exchange. They told me they will not exchange it. When he went to ask a manager she raised her voice. I am stuck with merchandise I can't ever use. I wouldn't shop here. I have been coming to this store for years. I used to come to purchase wigs a lot. They have a great variety of different styles, lengths and colors. There is always some type of percentage off the hair too, especially during holidays or for back to school. They have rearranged the store. Years back you use to come in through the front door and then leave out through the door in the back. Now they have it where you come in and leave out through the front store. They have the store set up totally different, but I like it. There have more products in the store now they they have expanded it. I love the makeup section. They have all types of lipsticks, glosses, eyeshadow, nail polish, eyelashes and a lot more products. It also feels more roomy. This is definitely my favorite beauty supply store. read more

Please Read!!!!! I purchased a Red Pro hair steamer from Beauty4U. I had the steamer for exactly one week and hair the steamer stopped working. I kindly returned to the store where the manager had the nerve to tell me that this was my problem and he wouldn't give me an exchange or refund. I was so upset, I sat and my car and cried. Then I remembered what my mother taught me. Always put big purchases on your credit card. I called my credit card company and filed a grievance against the store and quoted the information from the Maryland Attorney Generals page and I got my money back through them. I am only posting this because for some reason, some (not all) Asian American stores do not respect our dollars. Please take heed and know your rights because I think that most of us never follow up and file grievances. If you buy from this store, please use a credit card (no cash). If you use cash you will have to go to Prince George's Counties Consumer grievance system and you still might have to still take them to small claims court. I fought them through my credit card company and won and you can too. Don't go through the BBB.org This store doesn't reply to complaints. We need to fight to show that our dollars matter. This will only work on defective items. Please check the Maryland Attorney General's Page....you have the right to return something that is broken. read more

Staff is helpful, though I can see why someone might be overwhelmed because of all of the choices, but you can pretty much guarantee to find what you are looking for. I've been coming to this beauty supply store for the past 2 years and definitely have no complaints on the service and surplus of products they provide. I believe it's a family owned business because I always see the same individuals working in the store. I come here about once to twice a month and stock up on lashes, eyeliners, lip-glosses, and hair products. I love using Miss Jessie's line on my hair. (No crunchy curls ) I've never had an issue of them not having a product available. Also, they have a reward points program. I've shopped at this location for several years and outside of the fact that they don't have a restroom for customers in such a large store, I never had any issues. This past Friday evening I brought about 9 packs of Marley braiding hair and that night I got started on my hair immediately. I got to my 4th pack of hair and when I tore it open I saw pieces of debris that I assumed was from the popped rubber band inside. Wrong! It was a dead bug very similar in color. This morning I explained to the supervisor "Jay" what I discovered. Showing him the product with the dead bug still entangled. He remained silent, plucked the bug, which flew behind the counter with him, asked for my phone number proceeded to give me another pack of the hair which I did NOT want at this point. He refused to give either store credit or a refund with or without the receipt. When I asked where it was in writing that they couldn't provide a refund or store credit for items contaminated with bugs and he told me to go to their website. So far I'm still searching. read more

They're so quick to get out of the community before dark that they can't even stay open the full hours posted or provide adequate service to the community member that patronize the business. Don't forget the plethora of cosmetics, nail polish, hats, socks, flipflops, and costume jewelry. Goodness gracious. And if you are like me and like to read every single ingredient in every single product, you'll be in here forever if you don't arrive with a plan. I never arrive with a plan. I end up playing this 'game' of finding 3-5 different products in different price ranges that have the same ingredients in the same order. This makes me happy for some reason. I get my Paul Mitchell freeze and shine from this place each time I need to replenish my supply. It has the best value for the price and its on the way to my parents house. This is a fairly large store that has many items for any beauty salon needing to stock up and its pretty clean. I recall this used to be the local grocery store that I used to frequent with my parents growing up so it also has some sentimental value of home. There's this dry cleaning place next door that has probably been there forever and a day. So, overall a good place with history and a place to pick up your beauty needs and supplies..plus, there's never a line when I go there. While I was over in the area, I was pleased to receive help on which hair I would like to purchase, especially since I was picky about the hair texture and the style. I visited this store recently to see if they would have what I was looking for, a human hair yaki full lace wig in the color 4. I was pleasantly surprised to see that out of 10 beauty supply store I visited, over a two week period, this store was on only one that came close to having what I wanted. Better yet, at the time of my visit I found the unit I want they just didn't have the color I wanted. So, what did they do for me, they are ordering my unit in the color I want and not only that they will apply my unit on me as well. They got a customer for life. Note.
