This place is a portal to small town PA somehow. My wife Is from PA and I have obviously been there multiple times as well, there is definitely a vibe that is found in this place. The restaurant is unassuming....in fact, it has just the right amount of "dive" feel to be authentic. The folks in here are uniquely PA (I didn't have to ask-they just are). Service was friendly too. Really this place isn't especially close to a lot of other businesses, yet it still was fairly busy.....folks apparently know about authenticity..... I ordered a regular cheesesteak w/ curly fries. It was the right amount of greasy to be considered A PA cheesesteak. The meat was a good consistency. The size was....well, more than I could eat in one sitting. I had asked for Swiss as a substitution for white American and the folks here were happy to customize. My wife ordered the pizza cheesesteak.....it was topped with a red sauce and Parmesan. It looked rather tasty too. My son had ordered something called a cheeseburger cheesesteak (minus the cheese)....this was literally some hamburger patties cut up on a hoagie. Interesting....a perfect novelty to be honest. I felt obligated to order a cheesesteak on my first visit here to experience it, but to be honest there was plenty of other sandwiches on the menu that seemed appealing. I saw them making a Rueben of some sort that looked amazing, too. Don't expect to walk into high-class dining here. You get served on paper plates and eat at a sandwich shop diner table that is littered with local advertisements.....but that's part of the PA authentic charm in some me ways. First, what's good about this place. They know Philly food. If you're from there, you'll see that (and hear it) right away. Also, their portions are crazy large and they care about what they make, and their customers. We ordered the quintessential Philly food, Cheese Steaks and we were a bit underwhelmed. There was a LOT of steak (which one would expect from Philly) but the flavor wasn't there. It was a bit dry but full disclosure...some Philly steak places make them like that so... My wife's Chicken steak was very good. Another plus is the bread. Not sure if it's Amoroso but it's excellent. So not bad on this review but not the best I've had in the Sanford area either. Wow! What a crew that works here! They opened the doors 5 min early so we went in and was almost the first ones to order. We ordered 2 Philly 8" combos. While we were waiting they had 2 people on the phones taking orders. One order had over 20 sandwiches! At this point there's a steady stream of people coming in. Our sandwiches were so fresh off the grill. It was amazing to watch this team of workers do their job in such a enthusiastic fashion. My husband had eaten here two times before while going to a bowl game a couple years ago. We actually drove out of our way to come here before heading back to Georgia. It's located in a strip mall and so easily to overlook. One note, a lot of people were ordering the tuna. At a place like this it made me wonder how outstanding their tuna must be. I ordered the cheesesteak after craving for one and reading the reviews. Uber eats even had a bogo which had me pondering...if it's delicious, why would they have one entire sub off? Welp my suspicions were right. This was the worst cheesesteak I ever had. The meat smelled so bad , I hid it in the fridge at work. The bread was nice and soft, great portion but the taste of the meat was nasty. I m easy going when it comes to judging food. So if I say it's bad, it's bad. I only tried the cheesesteak so I can't have an opinion on anything else. I'm open to try different foods from this place but not the cheesesteak. read more

The CheeseSteak was really good tasting! BUT not really Philly-Style; they didn't do a good job chopping the steak with the onions, peppers & mushrooms . Plus when they served it to me, it was very messy and not appetizing looking. They get a ZERO on presentation. When I 1st visited them in 2016 or 17, the presentation was almost spot on. Maybe they are getting tired? or Lazy? Anyway, I have family in the Newbold Area of So Philly, same block as Faragalli's Bakery & 4 blocks from Geno's on So 9th. Most people know the area for having 5-8 sandwich shops. The Cheese Steak is king in that area and many people come across the Benny Frank bridge from Camden & N. Camden (NJ) to get authentic Philly style food. You got Cosmi, George's, Pat's.... a whole bunch more. Laspada's is good and deserve a visit BUT not authentic tasting (sorry) as it did when I 1st ate there. You'all gotta wake up!!! Hands down, the best cheesesteak that I have had in the Orlando area. Lots of meat that held together nicely, not greasy, lots of cheese, nice soft onions, perfectly spongy/crunchy bun. The real deal here is the cheesesteak. Yes. The fries were only okay, but that's a side. Urns of tea (one sweet, one unsweet) and a brand of soda that is neither Coke nor Pepsi. This is a filthy trash restaurant, run by filthy trash people. It is the worst steak and cheese I have ever had. The restaurant is dirty as hell. And if you get delivery, your driver is filling your drinks because the people at the restaurant are too lazy to do so. Today we tried LaSpada's for the first time. The place, although not too huge inside, was packed with locals. This was a great sign. I ordered the Steak Supreme (mushrooms, onions, green peppers) with Provolone instead of the American white it is listed in the menu as coming with. Jacob got a Pizza Steak (Provolone, onion, pizza sauce) but with no onion add pepperoni. When asked what size we wanted, we responded "huge" :) (By their standards this means 12") The sandwiches were lovely. The ingredients were juicy and not over cooked. I really liked the bread which was soft and a bit flakey. Not too thick. So many philly joints use mediocre bread but LaSpada's does not fail here. Our sandwiches were packed with meat and toppings. I think next time I might ask for extra cheese. We also got a side of curly fries although I saw another table got the regular fries and they looked good too. Fat and thick. Everything comes out fresh and cooked to order. There were a number of hot sauces by the fountain drink dispenser and tea (sweet and unsweetened). We really enjoyed the rock music that was playing. Also to note - there was a sign which boasted that they brought back Cuban sandwiches. I was soooo tempted to get one but I had my heart set on trying their Philly. Next time for sure. All in all. Two giant phillys, tray of curly fries, and two drinks - 29$ read more

It is a small fast paced lunch place. Limited seating. Mainly grab and go. They serve huge portions of wholesome food fast. I had the tuna salad. The amount of tuna was at least twice as much as elsewhere and it tasted like grandma made it. The salad also had a great variety of greens and trimmings.
