I had been mildly to moderately nearsighted since I was 10 years old, and finally decided to treat myself to Lasik surgery after much research. My experience at LasikPlus was a nightmare; the procedure was aborted after they began on my right eye, and made an "uneven flap"....long story short, Dr. Fleishmann blamed it on "a best guess" that the blade they used (manufactured by Bausch & Lomb) was defective. That was in 2006, and 6 years later, I have a significant astigmatism (created by the fact that the uneven flap never healed flat, but with ripples) as well as occasional short, very sharp pains in my right eye. My eyesight has never been the same, and was always easily corrected with eyeglasses, but now never seems right. Beware. It is your EYESIGHT you are messing with! It was purely vanity - sick of wearing glasses! - that made me consider this surgery, and now I would give anything to recover the quality of vision I had before I took this huge risk & lost. read more

Commercials say $250 per eye - Don't get suckered. They make you come in for an appointment, waster your time doing an exam and then tell you that the $250 per eye is only for people who have prescriptions of -1 which is very mild near sighted. So basically 95 percent of all people wanting lasik will NOT fall into this category. Very deceiving. Don't waste your time and gas money because you heard their commercial on the radio. On the first day, I was greeted by friendly staff, offered a cup of water, tea, or coffee and sat down to watch an informational video about what is to be expected. During the free consultation, the staff were happy to answer all of my questions without hesitation and in detail. On surgery day, The wait was about 45 minutes, but when I got in, the procedure was over before I knew it (roughly 10 minutes). I'm writing this review the day after I got the procedure done, and I can't recommend LasikPlus enough! If you're on the fence, jump off! You won't regret it. Dr Fleishman and staff really walked me thru the process I was scared but they literally held my hand during the surgery I definitely recommend to everyone I see wearing glasses I'm 20/15 to this day 10 years later. For some people it's all about saving a buck but really what are you looking for these are your eyes so if about $3700 is too much for lifetime coverage for a deal your nuts!! read more

I'm a 46 yr old male, I needed glasses to see distance only. I had the procedure less then 1 year ago. I listened to the doctor , did the drops etc. About a month later I called and complained that I still need to use my glasses and now I need reading glasses. I was told my vision was 20/20 and its only going to get better. 3 months later same complaint , this time i was told well yes your eyes are not perfect but there is nothing they can do the laser does not go that low??????? now 8 months later I need reading glasses, glasses to drive and anti glare glasses to drive at night. I just 3 days ago went to my eye doctor and he did a full exam I was told with written proof my eyes are just as bad if not worse as they were before the procedure, he can not understand what they did. If anything , I called Lasik and complained , still waiting for a call back. read more

While I agree with Mike L in the sense that it seemed my appointment was more of a business than a doctor's office, I am very happy with my results. I had many questions and was very nervous but the nurse Susan took great care of me. Each flap was 20 seconds each eye and the laser part was 18 seconds per eye. I had surgery about a month ago and I feel great. My post-op week appointment was super quick, just as Mike M indicated. I was in and out the door in about 7 minutes! While the doctor doesn't have the greatest bedside manner, it was worth it to me! read more

Im so impressed, I do not know where to begin... The Staff, the Drs...and Jim, were fantastic... We knew that this was going to be a drawn out procedure where we would have to go back.. yes it's a business, but the end result is great! They were professional, made me feel at ease, and in the end, fixed my eyesight. I am less than a week out from my Lasik procedure and I am thrilled with the result. I was seeing 20/20 the next day at my post procedure visit, something I have not done with out glasses sine I was 13 years old and I am almost 50!!! Dr. Fleishman came highly recommended and was very caring and pleasant. Her staff was professional and friendly and answered all my questions. The procedure was quick and painless and after a short nap following the procedure I was ecstatic to be able to see across the room clearly!! I had Lasik surgery here 2 weeks ago this Friday and I am so glad I went here. When I walked in for my original appointment to see if I was a candidate, I was checked in and asked to watch a short video. It was all the answers to the typically asked questions. I loved it. It answered a few I had and gave me a few ideas for some other things I wanted to ask and talk about. The woman helping me, I believe her name was Shannon, was absolutely amazing. She made me feel so comfortable, answering all my questions, explaining each exam to me as she did it so I know exactly what was going on. We went over financing options and she listened to me and exactly how I wanted to pay. The procedure itself was so quick. Dr.Fleichman talked me through the whole thing. Helped me keep calm through my anxiety. They even allowed my boyfriend to watch in the viewing room. He was so excited as he really likes stuff like that. I went home and slept thru everything like they said too and the next morning I woke up and everything was clear. It has been the most rewarding experience I have had in my life and I am so glad that I chose Lasik Plus to do it!! read more

Just want people to be aware! Save all information and document everything. I had my procedure done in 2012. Everything was great and I was so satisfied with my experience. Now comes 2015 and I need a revision. Called said they couldn't find my paperwork for my warranty. Then somebody from the Albany office called me and said that my warranty wasn't active for some reason, but no biggie this hapens all the time. She said she would take care of it. We were talking and come to find out that I couldn't have a revision done at the time anyway cause I was pregnant. So I would be all set to go when I was done breastfeeding. That time came and I called only to have to go through this whole process again and someone tell me that my warranty was no good cause I apparently missed my last appointment!! So long story short, i would definitely go somewhere else, But if you do decide to go here make sure you hold on to every little piece of paper so you don't get screwed like me! read more
