I happened to figure out that your online scheduling system only allows appointments for people who want contact lenses. I don't know how to tell you how to fix your profession, but forcing my hand to buy a medical device I don't need isn't it. Pretend you're a physician who exists to serve the public. read more

In my opinion, due to my experience, always get a second opinion with any kind of surgery, especially for your eyes.

I would recommend this business without hesitation and hold it as a Gold Standard! From personnel to environmental aspects, prices and choices. A family run and operated business Dr Cheng and Lemanski and Brian as well are the perfect balance of professional, knowledgeable and personable. All their staff are well trained and make customer service their priority! State of the art equipment and always looking at Improved flow. I rarely have to wait to be seen to get the ball rolling. Never feel rushed when speaking with the doctor and I always appreciate when financial considerations are openly discussed. You can also get lenses here. Surgery is done at another center but everything else is here. I had cataract and reading lense implant by Dr Lemanski. read more

Mabel Cheng, MD - Reception - Ophthalmologists Near Me - Niskayuna, New York

My wife and I have been seeing Dr Cheng for several years now. To me they are fast and efficient. Brian is great... answers every question. This is a busy office so like every Doctor visit have your questions ready ahead of time. Dr Cheng will always take the time to answer you. She is very straight forward and to the point. Some people take that as a negative. Dr Cheng has found a few issues with my wife's eyes as well as mine. I am very glad for that. I wouldn't think about seeing anyone else. read more

My wife first met Dr. Cheng at an emergency room visit at Ellis Hospital and has been a patient since. I also became a patient of Dr. Cheng soon after, for annual eye exams. We have both had laser cataract surgery and now have much improved eyesight back. Dr. Cheng is a very warm, caring and knowledgeable person and also has a very friendly, efficient and professional staff, with a "state of the art" clinic. We highly recommend Dr. Cheng and her office for your eye care and surgery. Jay/Donna Mattice read more

This practice was recommended by a good friend for a surgical procedure performed by Dr. Cheng and it was a very positive experience. The office is very well equipped, beautifully appointed and in a very convenient location. However, other appointments for exams and follow ups were not so good, with a few reschedules and my last appointment with Dr. Lemanski resulted in a 2 hour wait and I walked out because I was not seen, nobody stopped in or was available to let me know what the status of my appointment was, and I could not wait any longer. I even called in advance to see if she was on schedule and the receptionist noted no delays. I stopped seeing her father Paul Lemanski for the same reason - unacceptably long wait times (every appointment was at least an hour wait for a 5 minute consult and add to that a 30 minute 1 way travel time). Although Dr. Lemanski did call later to apologize and tried to reschedule for first thing the next morning, I was not available and still a little upset that I had to rearrange my afternoon work schedule for a no show appointment, by the doctor. The staff was a little frazzled while many patients sat waiting and they were running from room to room. The receptionists seem a little cold and indifferent, not quite knowing why a patient was there on checkin. On one visit they put numbing and dye drops in my eyes twice by two different doctors, and they didn't even check or ask if it was already done. They also gave me detailed instructions on some prescription eye drops, assuming it would be ready for pickup at the pharmacy by end of day, but turned out they weren't even submitted. I had to remind them the next day and make a second trip. My time is very valuable and it is hard to find doctors who take that into consideration. Perhaps they should try not to overbook their schedules to provide a better customer experience, improve on their office operations and communicate better with patients so they do not feel ignored. read more

I was unfortunate enough to have done something truly remarkably stupid the other day while visiting my sister, and got out of my truck and turned around right into a pine tree branch. This was of the horrible variety with very long, stiff needles. Apparently my aim was perfect and so I was rewarded with a corneal abrasion. Actually, as I found out later--two. What to do? After getting back in my truck and wiping away the gush of fluid that continuously came from that eye, complete with copious amounts of snot from my nose, I decided it was a little more than a minor poke. I also wondered why such a horrible tree existed. Putting that aside, I had the wherewithal to get back out while ducking this time, and went into my sister's house and had a beer. Why not? She immediately noticed and was met with the above ridiculous story. "You should go to a doctor!" Her prodding coupled with the fact that the pain was fairly intense and accompanied by everything that I looked at with my right eye exhibiting a double led me to seek the help of the able ophthalmologists at Mable Cheng's office. By phone I was directed to come and see Dr. Nicole Lemanski for urgent care. Upon my arrival there, assisted in my travels by my good eye, I was met by Dr. Lemanski and led to an examination room. The careful speed and professionalism and confidence that this young doctor exuded put me at ease. The next best thing were some numbing drops that she administered that made me soon realize "I'm cured!" However, I was then told this was not something I could routinely take to alleviate the pain unless I wanted a hole in my eye. Fair enough. The rest of the exam went equally smooth and was relatively painless. Anytime Dr. Lemanski was about to do something that would be uncomfortable she prepared me for it, and it was always less uncomfortable than I expected. Probably due to her skill. Some cleaning, lights in my eye while I looked at the doctor's ear, various drops, look here and there, a neat "eyelid flip"--stuff like that--then I was handed a script and was walked out. The whole experience felt friendly and caring, and I left impressed with her proficiency. Just two days later and following doc's orders, my eye is almost completely better. I have nothing but honest praise for Dr. Nicole Lemanski and the staff at Mable Cheng's ophthalmology clinic, and highly recommend them to anyone in need of professional attention for careless mishaps such as mine, or for more intensive procedures. read more
