Arrived at my scheduled time of 11: 15 am for my LASIK surgery. Waited for an hour and a half to be seen. The office staff seem very stressed and disorganized. I was repeatedly asked if I had been helped but expedited action was not taken. To me it seems as if some internal conflict exists among staff as there were a lot of sighs and mumbling about being too busy. This does not instill in me a great deal of confidence. This office seemed incredibly disorganized, which is very offputting considering that eye surgery is being performed there. My appointment was for 5:30 and the process moved so slowly that I did not get out of the building until close to 8 pm. Additionally, at the conclusion of the appointment I was told that I was a candidate for lasik, only to receive a call the day before the procedure telling me that I was in fact a very poor candidate for lasik and I would be unable to get the procedure. Additionally, although I was told that my refund for the surgery would be processed right away, I needed to call multiple times to get the refund processed. The consultant that I spoke with also failed to answer or even acknowledge my follow up questions. read more

I made my appointment a month in advance and they called me the week before and canceled my appointment and we're not apologetic. They originally gave me misinformation and told me surgeries are done on Friday's. After picking a Friday to have the surgery, they told me the surgeon chose Thursday to do surgery that week. The schedule opens at 12:45 and I had to go 12:45 because I was the first. After juggling my days off and switching with my coworkers to have the day of the surgery off they called me 9 days before my surgery to tell me it was canceled but not apologetic and very matter-of factly. Not professional. I'm guessing not enough people scheduled surgery that day so not worth his time. Being in health care myself I would never treat someone like that. They seem like the McDonald's of lasik. read more

I had LASIK done 2 days ago and I could not be more satisfied with the procedure and staff at TLC! My surgical assistant Don was very informative and walked me through every step of the procedure. Each appointment (the pre-op, surgery day and post-op) have all been prompt but professional. The entire process only takes about an hour and a half and does not hurt a single bit! All you feel is a bit of pressure. I'd say the steps leading up the surgery are more work and psych ya out before the actual surgery does. I have 20/20 vision and I'm not even completely healed yet! I'd highly recommend this center and I highly praise Dr. Schultz for his excellence in performing surgery. Great experience! I did a lot of research and went to multiple places to way my options. Love the staff ,they were very professional. Also the office is very nice and very clean. It was between TLC or lasik plus. The one thing that made my decision easy was that TLC had "sistered" lasers( which meant I did not have to get up and move during the procedure) and lasik plus does not, I just didn't like the idea of getting up and moving after a " flap" was made in my eye. Great prices for sunglasses. Just bought a Ray Ban Aviator for a great price, in my opinion. The staff was friendly, offered me something that I didn't wanted, and they politely stopped after that. I had Intralase custom LASIK done approximately two weeks ago now at TLC and really couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff are very friendly and professional, all of my appointments were right on time. The pre-op consultation was thorough and the doctor was accommodating and answered all of my questions, without any high-pressure sales pitches I've heard can be common in this industry. You're treated like a patient, not a customer. The procedure itself was a snap, 5 minutes if that between both eyes. As they advise, go home and take a nap, when I woke up a few hours later my vision was already returning quickly. That afternoon has some discomfort in your eyes and a sensitivity to light, but by the evening I felt fine, and the next morning essentially back to normal. After 1 day I was at 20/25, and after 1 week had improved to 20/15. You have a regimen of prescribed eyedrops to follow for about a week following the procedure, and they recommend a regular lubricant drop for several weeks to aid healing. The only side effect I still have is a slight halo effect around points of light at night (i.e oncoming car headlights), though I can already tell this is starting to fade since the procedure. The doctor said this is totally normal and takes up to 3 months to fully heal. So overall it was a great experience. Everything was well explained and detailed, the staff are excellent, and the quality of my vision is outstanding. Something else to note if you're considering lasik, make sure to ask different providers what their fee includes and what technology they use. Often low advertised rates are for an older technology, and do not include follow up visits. If you want the latest technology (which you do), there's a big up-charge. TLC uses the best available equipment, all follow ups are included, and they guarantee your vision for life (provided you get a yearly eye exam). read more
