Pinky & Co Beauty Bar - Pinky & Co Beauty Bar Gel Manicure + Nail Art

I'm genuinely over the moon about Pinky & Co Beauty Bar. This is the first nail salon I've ever…read morebeen to that doesn't feel like a rushed chop shop--in the best way. They clearly prioritize nail health and safety: super clean setup with dust collectors, gentle manicuring (no aggressive filing ), and they actually take the time to explain what services are best for your nails. What really stood out is how much care they put into prep--they properly clean and prep the nail so the application lasts longer and the final result looks way better. They won't just do whatever you ask if it could damage your nails or won't last, which I really respect. Liz did my Apres Gel X (natural almond shape) manicure and put so much care into the application, leaving my nails feeling healthy and strong. I also got the Pinky Pedicure with regular polish done by Chau, and it was just as amazing. Everyone was so welcoming, professional, and kind. It's rare to find a place that cares this much about both the experience and the long-term health of your nails. Safe to say I won't be going anywhere else

When I said I wanted a gel pedicure, the woman at the front asked if I currently had gel on my toes. When I told her yes, she informed me it would be $90 just to remove the existing gel polish because they "don't drill it down." I repeated the price to make sure I heard correctly and she confirmed it. I've had gel pedicures done at many salons over the years and have never encountered a removal fee anywhere near that amount. Because of that, we decided to leave. Just sharing our experience so others know what to expect.

Don't walk, but run to see Holly for your lash extensions…read more I recently moved here from LA and had to leave my beloved and trusted lash lady of three years. My biggest fear of moving was that I wasn't going to be able to find anyone comparable. I tried one shop that stated they were the best and had amazing reviews, but not even a week of having lashes from them at least 25% had fallen out!! We don't even want to get into what they looked like the second week :( So I almost admitted defeat, and at least I'd get to enjoy being able to rub my eyes without extensions, right? But I figured I'd give one more place a shot, and I couldn't be more happy that I did! Even though I had a request that pretty much made zero sense the way I described it, Holly still made it work. My lashes are full of volume, but not over exaggerated and looking like miss piggy lashes, but still on the natural side for not so much falseness. (Confusing, I know). I'm looking forward to having my next session so I can get a great and relaxing nap in, as long as I don't snore and wake myself up again.

What does this have to do with Mary's Fabulashes? Well...Mary's lashes STAYED ON the whole time!!!!! I had a great vacation and got some great pics. Whether doing the above or getting dressed up for dinner - I didn't need to mess with that pesky makeup stuff. Now that is a cool vacation. :) RE: OILS: Whole foods sells a small container of jojoba oil. It was cheap, I picked it up. I rub it on lashes for maintenance. The advantage also being that it doubles as eye moisturizer as well. (Serious advantage in that even given the fact I should have some sort of beauty routine I still use soap and water on my face. But I digress...) Re: NATURAL BLONDES: Mary ALSO is the the ONLY person I know who can match eyebrows to my naturally light blond hair. Which, given their super light /nonexistent natural state is pretty impressive. She is part aesthetician and part artist. Re: DRIVING UP NORTH Yes, she's worth it. I live right downtown, and it's a 15 minute drive straight up 1-35 if there isn't any traffic. I can spend that much time getting across downtown sometimes.

I called to make an appointment & when I showed up, they greeted me by name. EVERYONE was super nice and friendly. Don did my nails & when I was reading my book on my phone, Don pulled out a phone easel so I could view my phone easily. Wow! Pedi was quick-they put rose pedals in the water since the owner brings in fresh flowers/roses everyday. I got my eyebrows done and they were done perfectly. When I was leaving, they said if anything happens to my nails or if something is wrong, they'll fix it and I just said "they're perfect...Thank you" and they all said "bye Jennifer..see you next time"

I was assigned a nail tech I had never seen before, and the experience was nothing like what I'm used to here. She took an unusually long time to do a simple French tip manicure and pedicure, and despite repeatedly asking for the tips to be thinner, she continued making them thick and uneven. My nails literally look like McDonald's arches--crooked, bulky, unevenly filed, and poorly shaped. I originally asked for a unicorn finish, but was told it required gel, which I didn't want this time. After agreeing, it became clear there was confusion about how to do it, so I declined. Despite that, I was still given a gel French tip, which again took forever and still turned out poorly. Thankfully, one of the regular nail techs stepped in and did a great job fixing my toes--but by then the experience was already frustrating. At checkout, I was told my total was $138 for a deluxe pedicure I did not receive. We had to discuss the charges, and I ended up paying $108--still far too much for nails I hate and now have to get repainted somewhere else. I've always trusted this salon, which makes this even more disappointing. Consistency matters, and this visit missed the mark completely.

I gave Syndey and Brow Bar a try a few months ago so that I could see if it might work for my wedding. I was not disappointed! Syndey really takes her time, listens to what you want and gets it consistently perfect every time. I've been through several appointments, and I always walk out of there feeling like a million bucks. I especially want to note that I booked her a month in advance for the day before my wedding (I had too many other appointments the wedding day itself) with neither of us realizing it would end up being her day off that week. She called and asked if it was possible to schedule me another day that week, but if not, that she would come in just for me. As it turned out, I had a ton of meetings at work that week, and I knew I wouldn't be able to duck out for an appointment in Round Rock. We talked over the phone, and she was so sweet and understanding, and had no problem keeping it. My appointment went smoothly as always, but I am especially thankful that she went above and beyond by coming in on her day off just to be sure I was ready for The Big Day. Great experience overall. Thank you, Sydney!
