I had a lash lift done the first time. I chose LBD because of the good reviews. I was booked with Elena. She barely spoke 2 words to me, none of the process was explained to me unless I asked a question. She was not friendly with me but she was very chatty with many girls that were coming in and out of the premise. I have one eye with lashes curled inward and the other is curled well. I have had eyelash extensions done multiple times before in Toronto, but decided to try this place out after moving to Whitby. A couple hours after getting them done my eyes started to look puffy and swollen, and the next day I woke up and my entire face was extremely swollen due to the reaction to the lashes. This has never happened before, and Im so upset because I got them to make me feel pretty before going on vacation, and they made me feel the complete opposite. I had to pull them out which unfortunately pulled out some of my real lashes. Additionally, due to the swelling I couldn't see very well, and had to take time off work. My eyelids felt like they had a really bad sunburn and were painful to touch or open too wide. After mutlitple medications and visits to the doctor, I was told that I need to keep out of the sun. Worst lash place ever! I recently went to get a lash lift + tint and eyebrow tint. I have light hair and even lighter eyebrows/lashes. I asked the lash specialist for natural-looking lashes/brows and showed multiple pictures of what I wanted. My eyebrows and lashes turned out so dark, they were almost black. Also, my eyebrows were extremely boxy and fake-looking. Only the lashes on ONE of my eyes looked as if they were lifted. I felt so self-conscious and had to pay about $100. My eyes teared up so bad and got really red. Just today (a month later), I bought box dye for my brows and they turned out 10x better. Don't go here! read more

I had my lashes done December 29th. Half of them fell off within 24 hours and I had to have them replaced the next evening. By day 8 ALL but 5 lashes had fallen off. I called to cancel a fill, I am NOT paying $60.00 a week to keep these lashes on, and was told I'd be contacted by the manager. They never bothered to call. It's the lashes or the person who applied them. I've worn lashes, done at another salon, for 8 months and never had a problem, my lashes lasted 3 weeks before I needed a fill. For a minimum $130.00 spot, this is unacceptable!! Shoddy product, shoddy customer service!! read more

unprofessionally Within half a year, I tried to get a dark volume look in this salon. But after every correction I received 3.5 lashes. it looked very dull. I stopped attending this salon, and began to visit other (which inconveniently located). Fortunately, I spent 3 months in another city, where I was finally able to get those lashes that I dreamed. I decided to try again Lashes by Design, because I had learned that they have new artists. And then a couple of days ago I booked the classic full set. With the hope, that I will get accustomed thick black lashes. But I had only classic 60 minute fill. (This despite the fact that in my eyes it was still about 30% of eyelashes). Artist said that I do not have the natural lashes to fill. In fact, I had. So she filled me a maximum of 35 lashes on the eye. One of my eyes had even bald spots. As well, she filled me with a large curl lashes, but not my nature. During these two days, I had lost a dozen lashes already. Other words, now I have same look that I had before eyelash extension in Lashes by Design. But I paid $ 70. but the problem is not even that. And the fact that there is no individual approach actor was in a hurry and I did not get what I wanted. I visited quite often your salon and was patient.
