I came to Lisa Dinh Hair Studio to get my blonde hair retouched and toned (double process) with Peggy. Peggy was absolutely amazing and a fantastic listener. She took note of what my concerns were, acted accordingly and erred on the side of caution like I asked. She was meticulous in working tiny section by section. She was also the only colorist I've been to so far that asked to see pics I brought several times to confirm the color I wanted. She would ask her fellow stylists for opinions/expertise when needed, which I LOVED. It really made me feel supported and comfortable with the salon team as a whole. The end product was ofc AMAZING as a result. I'd highly recommend getting your hair colored here and would highly recommend Peggy. Sad I'm a dirty tourist bc I would totes make this my go-to salon if I were local.

Upon scrolling through their Instagram, i was very Impressed with their work and decided to book a session with Mimi. I chose Mimi because every photo i clicked on Instagram was done by Mimi so i felt that she could be able to execute what I wanted for my hair. Initially, i wanted to do a global ash brown, but upon consulting with Mimi, she suggested to do a more dimensional highlight due to global styles are very high Maintenance which wouldn't suit my busy schedule. I trusted her as she was the expert and i was not disappointed! I truly loved how it turned out and couldn't have asked for anything better. It blended super well with highlights to add a little dimension. The whole process took around 4.5 hour as i needed to bleach my hair. Mimi was super particular and precise with my highlights and i really felt that she was an expert at her field. She was attentive and nice, and i felt comfortable the whole duration. Overall, I'm super impressed and i will be coming back every time for my hair appointments! Highly recommended

Very sorry to have to post this but clients who value their appearance should be informed…read more I have been to this salon for years and have a great colorist (Irina) and - up until last week - Sandra who was a great stylist at my previous visit. What wasn't expected was this time I'd be leaving with an Edward Scissorhands hack job. She has some skill but not consistent, apparently. I went back to get this resolved/adjusted but I strongly feel the onus was placed on me to make suggestions as to how to address the stylist's fail which resulted in a missing chunk of hair at my face and top layers 2 inches shorter than what we'd - mutually - decided on and a massive disconnect. The best practice would have been to consult the salon owners to give a second opinion when I came back, given she knew I was coming in with a problem. They do extensions at that salon and that could have been offered for what would have amounted to a small insert and not a free head of supermodel hair. Given I'm stuck with hours of additional work at my end amounting to more time out of my day and money on styling products the latter could have also been offered. My bangs were uneven and she couldn't even correct that minor imbalance without screwing up. The salon owner called to discuss which unfortunately was a complete defence of the stylist and lack of client respect. Apparently my getting a refund was supposed to be enough which hardly accommodates the months of dealing with a crappy service. Sure the salon comment will be something like "not a good fit" "miscommunication" as per my conversation with the owner or a suggestion I go elsewhere. I'm ahead of them on the last point.

Granted, this looked much better when she did the waves, but someday I might be ok at this :) I have gotten one other cleanup while I have been in Toronto and Darquis was by far the best stylist...I think she is even better than the three I have tried in Washington, DC. I am now a local to Queen West and I love this hair salon! It is beautiful, the people are nice, and the vibe is not too trendy like you can find in some shops across town, but it is not outdated either. I think there is a very welcoming vibe in a somewhat timeless space. If you are in the area please check out this little gem. :)

Long story short if you want a salon that will take your money and then leave you high and dry before an event then this is the place to go. Now I have to find a place that will take me last minute.
