Shannon was my lash technician each time and she did a great job. When I first went in she gave me a brief consultation to figure out what I wanted. She did not try to upsell me (whereas some places will) and recommended that I go for the cheaper option of trying out the express lash set and add more if I wanted for my lash fill. Each fill I maintained a full set with a mix of 2D and 3D, I loved it. It was easy to get ready in the morning and many people complimented my lashes. They also provide a cute kit with a lash wand to brush your lashes and a facial sponge to better wash your face. The only feedback I would have is to give me more information about lash care, the card was helpful but I had to find out myself how to remove makeup and take care of them properly. My natural lashes did unfortunately get damaged and became extremely short after I removed them but I believe that should be normal.

Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

Let me first start by saying that I had the most amazing experience at HSL. I sent an inquiry via…read morethe Contact Us page on their website and received an email back almost instantly. From there, Pauline was incredibly informative and booked me an appointment on the day I requested for a consult and lash appointment. When I arrived, I filled out a short form and then was taken to the back where there were 6 (maybe 8, my memory fails me) comfy chairs set up with a warm blanket on each one. The chairs are "lazy boy" style and recline back to offer a full, comfortable experience. If you have back problems, the chairs are great because your whole body feels incredibly supported. These chairs are 100x more comfy than sitting in a flatbed. I also felt my neck was really well supported -- super important since lash appointments usually take 1-3 hours from start to completion (depending on the type). Once I was settled in, Pauline asked me what I was looking to do (refill, new set, etc) as well as what length and curl I wanted. From there, she washed my lashes with soap and a eyeshadow brush! She let me know what she was doing every step of the way. My 2 hours appointment flew by and I'm pretty sure I even took a small nap. Overall, the place is clean, there's plenty of parking and is easy to find. Most importantly, Pauline takes great care in what she does and you can rest assured that your lashes are well taken care of here As a bonus, they have a 3 day warranty where you can get a free touch up if your lashes fall out prematurely. They even include a length do's and don't page for you to care for your lashes and a spooly to brush out your lashes.

Out of all the extension places I've tried (more than a dozen in the GTA), Tokyo Beauty Studio is the ONLY place I've come back to. There are different technicians, but everyone is excellent. They're perfectionists and meticulous. I can tell them what I'm looking for - and they'll definitely deliver. What seriously surprised me is how light and fluffy they are - I expected heavy lashes which I can barely see out of (which is what my heavy mink lashes feel like) but nope! Even when you touch them, they feel like real thick lashes. My mom can't stop touching it and I've had mad compliments in the one day I've had them on. Tiana told me they're high quality lashes from Japan and you can definitely see and feel the difference. I am absolutely in love with the results! My short straight Asian lashes were transformed into the wispy fluttering lashes that I've always wanted! They looked completely natural as well and I received many compliments by friends and family on how great my lashes looked! First off, the atmosphere inside Moss was clean and fresh, and their lash stations were located in a very pretty area at the back of the store that was nice and cozy. My lash tech did a great job in making sure I was comfortable the entire time, and explained what she was doing so I was never in the dark about what was happening (even with my eyes closed haha). I got the Love Classic set and the whole process took just a little over an hour and a half. At one point I was so relaxed I ended up falling asleep!
