Judy was always extremely accommodating especially for my very last minutes appointment. She always tries to squeeze me in in her very busy schedules. That's every time too lol. Judy, Mei, and Elaine does the best nails in there. Others a bit sloppy on their works. Besides the nails, Judy also offer eyebrow wax, thread, and tint. I told her I have sensitive skin, so she gave me sensitive wax for my eyebrows. Talking about consideration and care. She also does eyelash services. I got a full set from her for a very reasonable price. Other nail salons have charge me 3 digits for mediocre nails. But Cottman Nails charge me half the price for some very pretty nails.

Over the years, I've also trusted them to help me get ready for some of my biggest and most important events, including my bodybuilding show. Whether it's an important occasion or I simply want to look and feel my best for work, they've been one of my go-to places for years. Four years later and still a happy customer. I had booked a lash appointment since this was the cheapest option I could find and the "lash tech"…read morejust said to go in on that day without a time. So I show up and I wait there for maybe 20 minutes and then she takes me to a room for me to get my service. The place looks very fancy and clean. I should have checked beforehand so this part may have been my fault but she was not using the individual lashes that most techs use. She was using cluster lashes which I was not aware of until after everything was done. The glue she was using kept getting in my eyes and it stung SO BAD I could not stop tearing up. She saw tears kept coming out and just wiped them and said it'll be fine once it dries. It was also hurting really bad like she was pinching my eyelid skin which made my eyes water even more. She was really nice so I didn't want to say anything and I just let her keep going. That's my bad. When she was done, it was still stinging so bad and that's when I realized they were cluster lashes. And the ends of the lashes were POKING MY EYELIDS. But she just told me to use the fan until it stopped stinging but after 20 minutes of it still stinging, I just paid and left. It was hard to tell how it really looked through my watery eyes until I got into my car and used the mirror in there. THEY WERE SO BAD AND UNEVEN AND MY RIGHT EYE WAS COMPLETELY RED. Not only that, it would poke my eye every time I blinked. I had to drive home teary eyed and in pain and immediately made an appointment to an actual lash extension place for the next morning before I even made it home. That whole night my right eye was in pain and when I went in for my appointment at the actual lash extension place, they had trouble getting the glue off. They literally had no idea what kind of glue that lady was using but there was no way to get it all off at once. They also recommended me to wait another day to get extensions because the previous ones I got BRUISED MY EYE which is why I was still in pain after the lashes were removed. DONT EVER COME HERE FOR EXTENSIONS. My eye was red for over a week after because the extensions were stabbing my eyes. Just pay more for better service because this is the absolute worst experience I had ever had with any service ever. If you zoom in on the photos, it's much easier to see but trust me it felt wayyy worse than it looks here and your eyes are not something you should play with. I usually tip 20% which I did this time anyway and the total was $90 including tip. Such a waste of money

I wanted to be sure before I confronted the owner about this today. I've been supporting this nail…read moresalon for ten years on and off now. The last THREE times I patronized this place I witnessed blatant racism. I wanted to make sure this wasn't just coincidence. I paid close attention to the owner giving White patrons back massages with her bare hands and giving Black patrons a beat on the back with these tools (pictured below) as if she doesn't want to touch them. When I confronted her about this, she said sometimes her hands are too tired. But a lady (who just so happened to be white) JUST got out of her chair before me and she gave a back massage with her hands. As soon as my nails were finished...she reaches to grab these tools to bang on my back. I said no thanks and let her know what I witnessed in my last three visits. OF COURSE, she denied, denied, denied and said "my bad." First of all, I do not speak using ebonics so "my bad" from her was also a bit much. Very disappointing. I've now seen both her and her husband doing the same thing with customers. If you guys barely want to touch Black patrons...don't accept their money! DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR! Extremely unsettling. I hope you two are not teaching your daughter this racism too. I will never give VIP NAILS another penny. Also, the reuse flip-flops and toe separators. And they do NOT clean nail tools in between customers. I always had to request sanitizing in front of my face!!!

DO NOT RECOMMEND JULIE IS HORRIBLE AND A BULLY!!!!! I came here to get my nails done before I went…read moreon a trip in Cali and the lady Julie was very rough with my nails. I showed her a picture of coffin nails with a pink tip on them and she decides to just ignore what I show her and keep my nails almond when I specifically told her I wanted the new shape. I did not want to ask her to reshape them, considering she was already being passive aggressive towards me when I asked her if she could do the nails, I showed her in the picture it felt like she didn't want to even do them at all. Her attitude was disgusting and she'll make you feel like you're in the wrong for asking for what you want. She finished doing my nails and I left somewhat happy because I thought they were pretty enough but when I showed up to work, everyone told me to go back and get them redone because I couldn't see the scuff mark she left on my tips and my nails were already scratched up, forming these weird bubbles at the top. So I came back the next day to ask her to just redo them and to shape them how I wanted her to shape the mind you she charged me $50 for short almond nails with a white tip on them and I even tipped $10 for them. She proceeded to yell at me saying none of her customers ever came back to her, asking her to redo nails and that I'm the first one as she was just so out of proportion acting crazy yelling at me in front of others and even when I was the last one in the shop basically telling me that there's nothing wrong with clearly there was even the first lady when I walked in there she saw there was something wrong with my nails and called her over. Even though Julie had no clients from 5 to 7 PM. She had an attitude with me when she should be grateful. I even came to see someone so terrible as a nail artist if that's what she wants to call herself. The entire time when she was doing my nails, she was digging into my skin. She even left me on my skin. She was even filing my nails so hard and this was because she was angry and she didn't treat me that way yesterday. It hurt to the point where I wanted to cry also the entire time she was speaking to the other woman who has some sort of skin problem. I don't know her name, but I'm gonna call her out because she was sitting there half the time that I was getting my nails done and sure they were talking about me. At the end, she has the audacity to ask me to give her five more dollars because she made my nails shorter. AFTER SHE ASKED ME THIS HER FRIEND STARTED LAUGHING ON SOME BULLY BEHAVIOR.! I should've just not gave her the five dollars and asked her to take it out of her tip from them day before because she was nowhere near deserving of even getting a tip. IT TOOK HER CLOSE TO AN HOUR TO JUST DO FRENCH TIPS SHE CANNOT DO FRENCH TIPS JUST ADMIT THAT YOU CANT AND DONT REDO THEM FIVE TIMES OVER ON A SINGLE NAIL!!! Do not go to Julie if you want someone who is half blind to do your nails I feel bad for those who are her clients. They are probably older age and don't even notice the mistake she makes and she makes everything such a pain to just fix. If you can't be criticized, honestly, you shouldn't even be working in a nail salon. You should be somewhere practicing how to do nails because I have never been more disgusted with somebody who can't do nails and complains when someone comes back to get the nails redone because you've never learned to properly do nails. Julie do better and do us all a favor and get off that chair and go back to nail school. One more thing to add, she had the audacity to tell me that my nails were messed up already before I even came there which defeats the purpose of me even coming to you to fix my nails because if you claim you're so good at what you did on my nails The day before then why couldn't you even fix what I brought you? You know you're in the wrong Julie do not go to her if you want your nails to look like somebody did them while blindfolded And to torture your nails even more by digging into your skin just because she's mad. Get some new glasses, Julie and maybe be considering renewing your license being a nail tech.
