Forgive me, I didn't know better. I constantly had issues with lash retention and finally decided to look for someone who only does lashes and is an expert in their field. When I got to Ash, most of my lashes were broken because of the amount of glue used. She REHABBED my poor lash stubs, showed me how to care for my lashes and sent me home with lash wash and instructions for daily care. I never even knew that you were suppose to wash wash wash your lashes ... never mind what to do to retain them. Fast forward to now - my lashes are beautiful, strong and my retention is epic. Enjoy the photos of some of her work! I have done everything from Classic to Mega fills and I am addicted. Ash is a true master in her field. Another important factor for me - the beauty, cleanliness and vibe of her salon. You get to lay on a plush bed, with softest blankets, chit chat if you want, take lash naps if you want ... it feels so good to be pampered and wake up looking gorgeous as ever. Ladies, we get what we pay for. Trust me, go with the best and save yourselves time and money it'll take to fix some shady work. Your eyes are way too important! They also have iPads available during the service, so I ended up watching Emily in Paris while getting my nails done. What impressed me the most was their cleanliness. After each customer, they thoroughly cleaned everything with Clorox wipes, including the desk, chairs, and surrounding area. As a first-time customer, they also gave me 10% off plus a cute little gift bag with cuticle oil, hand cream, and nail care instructions. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I expected a little more attention to detail for a professional service at this level. A couple of nails had small imperfections. For example, one thumb wasn't fully covered near the edges and part of it looked matte, almost like the top coat didn't fully seal the edge. One other nail also had a slightly uneven surface. The day of my service I arrived 15 minutes before like I was asked to and was greeted immediately as I walked in. Andrea greeted me and let me know she was going to clean the room and get ready for me. When I walked in the room, you could tell it was clean and sanitized. Andrea got to know me and asked me some questions about my skin and my waxing history. I let her know it was my first time getting a full Brazilian and underarm wax and she explained to me the process and the pain levels. I felt super comfortable with Andrea. She explained the process as she was waxing me and even maintained a conversation with me to distract me. She was super kind and I felt that she took her time with me and made sure I was vacation ready. I would highly recommend booking an appointment for waxing here. By Monday night, one nail had broken and there was visible damage to the tips of several others. I called Tuesday and was told to come in and that my manicure would be redone at no charge. However, when I returned Wednesday, I was informed after the service that I would need to pay full price because the employee I spoke to was new and hadn't documented anything about a break or fix in my profile. After some back and forth, they offered $20 off due to their internal miscommunication. At that point, I chose to pay and leave rather than continue debating their policies and communication issues. That is not something a customer should have to navigate. Clear policies, proper staff training, and communication are the responsibility of ownership and management. If I had known I would be charged again, I would not have come back at all. It's not reasonable to pay for two manicures in less than five days. I would expect my nails to last at least two weeks. Due to the inconsistent communication and unclear policies, I will not be returning to y2 nails.
