1 star -- Severe leg injury from laser treatment, then weeks of being ignored…read more I went in for my very first laser hair removal appointment on June 18th and left with severe burns/injuries covering both my legs (see photos). The marks were still visible almost two weeks later (i'm praying these are not permanent scars). I saw my own doctor on June 24th, who diagnosed an adverse skin reaction to the laser treatment, prescribed prescription-strength steroid cream and a prednisone taper, and explicitly advised me not to return for further treatment at this location. What made it worse was the response after: * The marks became visible the day after my appointment (Friday, June 19th). I was working all day and couldn't call, so I emailed them that same day asking if my legs -- badly swollen and itchy -- were a normal reaction. * Saturday, June 20th: I called right when they opened, since I still hadn't heard back on my email. I sent photos as requested. No callback all weekend, so I ended up at urgent care for a hydrocortisone prescription. * Monday, June 22nd: called again, was told the "lead nurse" would call me Tuesday. Also learned that the petroleum jelly they gave me at my appointment to apply afterward was actually making the injury worse (trapping heat) -- meaning their own staff handed me something that worsened my injury. * Tuesday, June 23rd: no call. Called again, was told the same thing. I also sent a second, detailed email that day explaining everything. Their site advertises a 24-hour email response; I never got one. * Wednesday, June 24th: saw my own doctor, who confirmed the severity and advised against continuing treatment. I called LaserAway to cancel my 8-session contract and was told a director would follow up in 24-48 hours. * I heard nothing. I had a beach vacation starting the very next day, and had to keep my legs covered and out of the ocean the entire trip because of this. * I followed up again after vacation (Monday, June 29th) and was told 24-72 business hours. * Got a callback the next day (Tuesday, June 30th), told -- again -- to send photos so a nurse could "look into it," with a callback promised for tomorrow (which is now today). As of writing this, every single promised callback in this process has either not happened or happened days late, so I'm not optimistic. I've since sent a formal written request for contract cancellation, a full refund, and reimbursement of my medical costs, along with my doctor's documentation. We'll see if that ever gets a response. This is a company whose entire business is aesthetics, and when they visibly injured a first-time client, the response was silence, contradictory advice, and stalling on a contract cancellation while the clock ran on my sessions. My vacation was negatively affected by their negligence. I would not recommend anyone start treatment here.

Sabrina has been administering my fillers and Botox during this time, and I appreciate her kindness and skill. She ensures that I achieve natural-looking results and utilizes advanced techniques and pain management strategies to minimize any discomfort. My lip fillers, in particular, always turn out beautifully and align with my aesthetic goals. Sabrina's attention to detail, such as noting which side I sleep on to maintain facial symmetry, truly sets her apart. I'm interested in other cosmetic and surgical procedures in the future, West End being the only place I would go. If you're looking for a new spot, this practice's cleanliness, professionalism, and the kindness of their staff have made a lasting impression on me, so I would 100% recommend. Side note: I wanted to mention that I've never felt profiled here and I'm always treated consistently, regardless of how I'm dressed. I know this can be an issue at other med spas and cosmetic practices, so I thought it was important to share this observation for those who might be concerned about such things.

I am only 3 months out from surgery and my results are wonderful - although apparently I have some more swelling going on that will shrink. Wild - I'd be happy with the results as is. The photo attached is 3 months out.

So, I am not new to laser tattoo removal. In fact, you can search my previous reviews for what I…read morethought was a great experience and value for my first removal session years ago at a different place. Armed with much more knowledge now, I'm now aware that my previous course of treatment was basically a scam and no more effective than a single pass session. In contrast to the other place, Center for Laser Surgery has given me so much confidence about getting my tattoo removed! I'd seen Center for Laser Surgery on a few reddit posts and it was one of the few places where an actual MD is offering laser tattoo removal. I didn't want to go to another medspa/laser clinic only type place. I was super pleased when I was quoted a very reasonable amount for each removal session and booked my first appointment. I was even happier when they offered lidocaine, so no more banshee screams (my tattoo is on my ribs, so, OUCH)!! I was able to get through two sessions so far pain-free and have had great results (thick, jet-black ink is totally clear in some spots). Just personal preference, I've been going around every 6 months to give it plenty of clearing time. I'm very hopeful in achieving total or near-total removal of my tattoo and absolutely recommend Dr. Adrian as he literally performs wizardry with that laser! (And this reminds me I need to book my next session soon!)

Sue is insanely better. After just one treatment I saw significant results! Also the cooling she has on the laser is top notch, I barely felt anything. Just because two places have the same laser doesn't anything. Provider expertise is what matters (and who has the better cooling attachment). Also, many other places don't properly service their machines, so the laser name alone doesn't mean much. You can ask Sue about all the service she gets routinely done on all her lasers. It's an art and a science, and a lot of the doctor places don't have the art. Sue's been doing it forever and knows what she's doing.

I quite literally cannot sing the praises of Cultura Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Center highly or…read moreenthusiastically enough -- but for a practice this singularly special, I sure am going to try. I'm a repeat patient, having had two procedures at Cultura two years apart, and Dr. Kelly Bolden (renowned head of the plastic surgery center, double board certified) is quite simply the finest surgeon I could ever have hoped to find. The quality of her work is incredible, and her extraordinary warmth matches her extraordinary skill: patient with my every question, generous with follow-up, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me take a big step I'd wanted -- but hesitated -- to take for myself for a very long time. Then there's managing director Hiba Bittar, who is sunshine personified. She delivers a patient experience that is second to none, full of the countless kindnesses that make you feel truly seen and cared for as a whole person, not just a number. And it doesn't stop with these two: every single member of the Cultura team has been wonderful, without exception. Two weeks after my second procedure, I suffered a sudden, nearly fatal emergency accident (completely unrelated to my procedure or my care at Cultura) that hospitalized me for an extended stay and significantly complicated my recovery. Dr. Bolden and her team of experts have been there with me every step of the way, That unwavering commitment to their work and their patients -- even when life throws the unthinkable at you --is part of what makes Cultura a truly exceptional practice. Dr. Bolden helped me find a self-confidence in, and love of, my body that eluded me my whole life. She is the only plastic surgeon I will ever return to or recommend. I'll close as I began: I cannot recommend Dr. Bolden, Hiba, and the entire Cultura Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Center team highly or wholeheartedly enough. Trust them. You'll be so glad you did.

As I had no knowledge of what laser treatment procedures were like, I was quite nervous on what to expect. But Jane walked me every step of the way without me even asking, and it eased all my anxieties throughout the process. My skin is very delicate and Jane made sure to be incredibly diligent and careful, she ran multiple test pulses to watch how my skin would react before deciding on how to proceed with the full treatment.
