I emailed hello@laseraway.com to file a complaint and request a solution regarding an adverse reaction I had to their Rejuran serum. It's been over three days, and I've received no response. A staff member from the Oakland clinic called and asked me to send photos of my skin for a nurse to review. However, by the time she reached out, I was already on a steroid cream prescribed by my medical provider, and my skin had begun healing. At that point, sending photos felt pointless because I knew I'd just be told everything looked fine. During the call, the staff member was defensive, showed no empathy, and offered no real solution. It felt like they were more interested in protecting themselves than helping a loyal customer. There is a nurse named April who has not been trained properly and does not have the skill to work at her level of practice. She delayed my treatment for an hour; and in this particular case, there was some time sensitivity, which she had no concern for. April, had to call several supervisors to do a procedure that was approved to be done by the regional vice president of the company. . . So April felt the need to call the VP to get instructions that she should have gotten in her standard training. I'm having a tattoo removed @ this location. So far I haven't noticed any changes after my 2 sessions. However I'm told that it can take up to 4 sessions before there's a discernible difference. Treatments are a bit painful but luckily the tattoo I'm removing is small letters, so treatment only lasts about 30 seconds! Also want to mention that the front desk secretary, Keisha is AMAZING! No one ever reached out. Additionally, this occurred on my 6th session. I paid for a total of 8 sessions. All i wanted was for them to reimburse me for the 6th, 7th and 8th, as obviously I did not want to continue my treatment. They told me no they could only reimburse me for the one that I got burnt at. Do your own research and take this seriously, it's your skin!! and they truly only care about turning a profit. and it's been a month since this occurred and the scar is very much there. It's at least 3-4 inches. It'll likely take 2-3 years to heal (hopefully). And LaserAway gave me $250 for the one session and said "good luck" lol. I'll have to pay for my own hyperpigmentation cream for a long time. The incompetent clinician is at fault since she used the wrong laser. But also corporate and managers are at fault for not handling this correctly. I asked for 3 sessions reimbursement, I should've asked for the whole thing refunded! Terrible experience. I had a very disappointing experience with Laserway for my full-body laser hair removal. At first, they advertised their services in a very appealing way, which led me to purchase a package. However, instead of achieving the smooth skin I expected, my hair has become thicker, darker, and coarser--almost like men's hair. I feel deceived by their marketing and promises. On top of that, their customer service has been unresponsive when I tried to reach out for help. I would not recommend Laserway to anyone looking for effective hair removal. However, that was some time ago and now I have called on 3 seperate occasions trying to get information in the package I purchased, how many services I have and how to book. The people on the phone have been able to confirm they can see that I have a package with them but no more details than that. I love that it's all medical professional who do these procedures and Jenelle was obviously very knowledgable, not to mention just lovely to talk to. I received excellent service! From the moment I entered the door. Staff greeted me with a smile, they were courteous and genuine. The service I received was Clear & Brilliant. My skin was appearing dull and I had noticeably large pores. I was very satisfied with the procedure. I had a total of 4 treatment sessions. Each time my skin looked great after about a week. Ari and Tiffany are knowledgeable, gentle, which made me feel very comfortable. After each treatment my skin was red for a few days and felt like sand paper, but even after the 1st session my skin was noticeably different. It appeared healthy and large pores, no more. Experienced paradoxical darkening and melasma when removing my tattoo which I was not warned about. The medical team was initially responsive and prescribed me skin bleaching cream and told me I needed numerous more treatments to undo what they did otherwise my skin will permanently look like this. I had already bought the 10 treatment package. When I asked for the company to either refund me or provide comped treatments considering because this is on them, they have become NON-RESPONSIVE. I have been to three other Laser Away locations because this one was not yet open. This location by far, has been the best one I have gone too. Every laser treatment has been performed by nurses that have gone above and beyond what I have experienced at the other locations. By that, I mean I think they're actually doing what they're supposed to do, with chalking and thorough coverage of the treatment area. The nurses and staff at this location have consistently reminded me about pre-treatment and post-treatment requirements, which I received only sporadically at the other three locations that I had been to. I should note, another location, which will remain unnamed , performed laser hair removal me with a machine which had not been working right the entire day. They could not carry out the treatment because it was burning the hell out of my armpits. Why in the world would you perform treatment, ever, with a machine that was not working properly? So, this is just a snippet of what I've dealt with at other locations. Nurse Jenelle was my nurse yesterday and she was super knowledgeable, checked all my pre-treatment requirements (like no antibiotic usage) and took her time with the laser making sure she covered the entire area. She also asked for feedback after the treatment, which I had never been asked for except at this location, interestingly. The staff is always friendly, helpful and also knowledgeable. The parking is easy and plentiful, which is not the case at any of my other Laser Away option. My appointment also always starts on time and they have been flexible with me on emergency basis cancellation/reschedule. I will not be going back to any of the other locations.
