I've done two facials with Jaenie-Rae at skinspirit: a diamond glow facial and I just completed my first micropenning procedure. For diamond glow was really easy to do, no recovery time, and I didn't do my normal skincare routine for the rest of the week because my face was looking so glowy and clean! Probably not a good idea to forgo skin care altogether, but I had a good result. As to the micropenning, it's still my first day, but Jaenie is a professional and told me what to expect so nothing was a surprise. So far I haven't had any bad reactions, and she explained really well how to manage my skin for the next three days. Overall I've had positive experiences there and will continue to go. read more

I recently had my first micro-needling appointment with Mimi at this location and love the results. She has been my esthetician for many years but this is the first time having her do micro-needling on me. I had a great experience during the procedure with no pain. My results are great, I've had micro-needling done many times over the years and I felt that I healed quickly with minimal down time this time around. Sad to give this place a mixed review. In general I've had good experiences at SkinSpirit Oakland and Walnut Creek (with the same practitioners at both) getting minimal amounts of preventative Botox. As far as Botox I always appreciate the artful placement, subtle results, and care in truly listening to what I'm after. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience with fillers here. I came in hoping to minimize the appearance of my nasolabial lines. In the past the filler in my cheek area seemed to minimize the lines but not to the degree I hoped. I asked the practitioner to advise me based on my concerns and we agreed on filler in the cheeks as well as directly in the nasolabial lines. She put filler directly in and around my nasolabial folds and also insisted that placing some around the corners of my mouth would give "an extra lift". Big. Mistake. The photo included in this review was taken months after the injections and long after any swelling. I ended up with what looked like jowls or cotton balls at the corners of my mouth for nearly a year as well as uneven puffiness along my inner nasolabial fold and a pull downward at the corners of my lips. Grateful this whole thing happened during Covid when masks are the norm! Although the filler is dissolved at this point the structure of my lower face seems a bit different ever since. I may tocome back here for preventative Botox but definitely won't be back for fillers. read more
