This place has absolutely gone downhill! I started coming to the Fenway location about two years ago and the staff was amazing, welcoming friendly, the clinicians knew what they were doing! I hadn't been in for about a year, just life happened... This new staff is rude. They are not friendly or welcoming at all! The clinicians are more concerned about getting Botox and whatever done on their own face during work hours, then they are concerned about you. My clinician came in and you can tell she just got Botox done while she's working, and then proceeds to tell me all the reasons I can't get my treatments done and I've never had a problem. On top of that, I have to drive two hours to go to that location so I ended up driving two hours getting a hotel to spend the night, and they had no care or concern no empathy or compassion! I want to preface this by saying I've spent thousands of dollars at LaserAway and genuinely wanted this to work. But after everything I've experienced, I feel it's only fair to share what happened so others can make an informed decision. It started when I received a promotional call about a discount on Thermage for my face and neck. I decided to book, and that's when the problems began. My appointment was cancelled three times, each time last-minute. And each time, no one from LaserAway reached out to reschedule. I had to follow up myself, every single time. When I finally raised my concerns, I was reassured that it wouldn't happen again and was confirmed for May 3rd at 2:30 PM. At 1:13 PM, just 17 minutes before my appointment, I received a text saying they were running 30 minutes behind. I was already on my way. I decided to be flexible, stopped at a café, and arrived at 2:55 PM. I was then told I'd need to wait an additional 45 minutes and wouldn't be seen until 3:45PM at the earliest. What hurt most wasn't the wait, it was how it was handled. There was no apology. No acknowledgment of the repeated history of cancellations. Just: you can wait or reschedule. I broke down in their office. My anxiety got the better of me, and honestly, I'm not ashamed to say it, because no paying customer should be made to feel that way. I requested a refund and ended my relationship with LaserAway. If you're considering booking here, please think carefully. My experience may not be universal, but when something goes wrong, how a business responds tells you everything. read more

Like many others I had several issues with the front of desk staff. I was YELLED AT by the young woman at the front desk who claimed I had just been in the office several days earlier. I hadn't been in for over a year and she was too belligerently angry to listen to me when I asked her to please double-check my file. She did not behave the way a medical admin professional should behave I was embarrassed and genuinely scared to go in because of her screaming at me over HER mistake. When I got to the office there was NO APOLOGY for their egregious mistake. Then after purchasing a unit bundle, the same staff member started blowing up my phone 4 minutes (I checked) after I walked out of the store DEMANDING that I pay for the units. I had and I sent her the email invoice showing I had paid. Again she was unprofessional and cannot understand the basic functions of her job. The manager told me this nasty rude young lady "didn't know that transactions take a few minutes to go through." which is such a poor excuse. A grown adult functioning and living in 2025 KNOWS that transactions take a few minutes to go through. I'm going to the one in Sommerville now and I get a MUCH better experience. Which is sad the front staff here is so rude because I did like the nurses. read more

Today, I was contacted by this practice three hours before an appointment that I had. They called to tell me that the nurse on duty could not actually do the procedure that I had booked. The procedure that I had booked several weeks before, so I would assume that they would've had time to make sure that this service could be done. Apparently, I would have assumed wrong. They told me that my choices were to move the procedure until after the new year (two weeks after my appointment day that I booked several weeks out) or to go to a different location tomorrow during my workday. They offered no other compensation, and didn't even apologize. First, I asked the person who called me for solutions. When she gave me nothing, I asked to be contacted by a manager. She said that she would be contacting the managers for me and then hung up. I waited for that phone call, because this seemed like a massive Uber site that a manager would want to approach quickly and handle swiftly. However, I got no callback. I called the customer service line, they told me that no managers work on weekends who would be able to handle the problem and that I needed to wait 48 to 72 hours to be contacted by a manager. I am also assuming that since they take weekends off, most of them are probably going to be taking time off around the holidays so I don't believe that I would've been contacted with any amount of care or speed. It seems to me to be a massive oversight to not have anybody higher than customer service available on weekends. Especially for a service that you pay a lot of money for. This is a luxury procedure, I am aware that it is elective, but a person needing to change the way that they are going to look at their face all of a sudden Requires building up to that moment and to be told that it wasn't happening three hours before it was supposed to happen was completely unacceptable. This company's management and corporate level Do not care about the customer experience. If they did, they would be available during times where a lot of customers are being seen. This complete disregard of customer needs relieve, reflects how little they respect their patients. It's a shame, because I've had some really good experiences with their nurses directly, but being left high and dry like this just shows that they care to take and hold onto my money prior to a procedure, but they are completely fine with withholding the service, regardless of it being their fault. Did I mention that they never so much as apologized? Because they never apologized. They do not care and they are now holding my money hostage. Go elsewhere, this place is not worth dealing with these customer service issues. read more

I do understand that laser tattoo removal is different for everybody's skin, but I am extremely disappointed with the outcome. I was attempting to get a tattoo removed from my rib cage and I stopped seeing fading after the fifth session. When I asked if they could turn up the intensity of the laser, they said that I needed to space my sessions more, and with every session, I still did not see any change. When I said that I was not happy with my results they offered to schedule me for additional sessions, which would still cost me extra money. I truly feel like my tattoo could have been fully removed if they just initially to me by turning up the laser intensity. now I am stuck with a completely botched removal two weeks before my wedding. read more

After telling the booking person Summerville is not Boston and that I had never been to Summerville she said Boston was booked way out. my biggest problem with LA is that they're really tough to trust. honestly, they're pushy and super crooked. I've been to locations in both Denver and Boston and it seems comparably bad in both cities so I think the company's values are just rotten. they use the lowest laser setting and then assure you that, even though nothing is happening, it's still working. let me tell you - the hairs are supposed to JUMP out of your skin. if it's not doing that and you can't feel it, it's not high enough. I'd also never gotten botox before but decided to try it at LA. firstly, they use terrible/cheap needles so you can feel them pulling at your skin and, secondly, they use WAY too many units in a bid to run through your unit bank quickly and to get you to buy more. i only realized both of these things when i went to a different injector and he used 15 units less than LA recommended and i had LESS movement after the treatment. LA is super convenient but honestly, the convenience isn't worth it to me. will not be going back. read more

From the staff checking me in to the nurse completing the laser for me. The nurses have been wonderful during both sessions, they are caring and understanding especially if it's your first time. If you are thinking of going to LaserAway for laser hair removal DONT! Although all of the nurses during my treatments were great, the treatments didn't work. Despite voicing my concerns of lack of results throughout the process they continued to reassure me that I would see them. At my last treatment I showed the nurse pictures of the hair growth and she agreed with my concerns. After a month of calling asking for the manager Stephanie, who is the only one with authority to make decisions I received a text message from her telling me they would give me two complimentary touch up treatments ONLY if I bought additional treatments for over $600! I set up a phone consultation through the website and got a call before my appointment time. I didn't know who it was from so I didn't answer. A couple minutes later I received a passive aggressive message saying "Hello this is Hope with LaserAway i just called for your consultation YOU scheduled". I called back and started my consultation. The entire call felt like I was just being read a script, and I got no chance to ask questions or even speak until the very end of the call, which by then i'm just getting asked if I can make it work with my schedule. When I said that I'll have to check and see if it's doable or affordable, she became persistent and wanted an answer right away. After I answered the same question the same way, she said "Well call back when you're ready to make an appointment" and rudely hung up. Her attitude completely changed and she accused me of being unsure in my decision of booking services and almost sounded like she didn't want me to get them?? She explained to me that they're booking out to August so I could just book now and I once again explained I have to check my schedule (I work, I am a student, and I travel frequently) and she said well call when you're ready to book and then just hung up the phone without saying goodbye our without any type of formal salutation.
