Just after Christmas, my 2 sibs and I took our Mom there for a spa day. No one wanted to look as harried as we all felt from all that damn family togetherness... Sorry for the digression, but I wanted ya'll to know that there were 4 of us in dire need of stress relaxing facials. We got them. I had micro-dermabrasion, my 2 sibs had hydrofacials, and the old lady rec'd Thermage. The prices were very reasonable since we negotiated a discount, and I was very comfortable with my aesthetician. The Thermage will take months to show real benefits, but I was pleased with my treatment, the staff and the facility, as were my sibs. I recommend them, and try to go with a group or use one of their specials; that really made it worthwhile. read more

Went here a while ago for a facial and haven't gone back. Though their pricing is great, their spa isn't the most charming place. The service was decent, not the best but not the worst. I'd go back but honestly when I get a facial I'm all about ambiance. And really, they have none. The woman who gave me the facial also did not do extractions very well, which was really the reason I came in. I was going to do a teeth whitening session there but they were running late at the time and I had other places to be. Never had time to reset an apt and decided not to do it anyway due to tooth sensitivity. Over all, it really is a 3 out of 5. If you want a facial but don't care about ambiance, go a head. I had a facial and I did not feel I got the experience of a spa like facial, I can go into details abt the facial itself but my review would be long. I went to Laser Plus Spa on a friend's recommendation and was amazed at the cleanliness and smell. The place smelled delicious and clean. I went in for a gift certificate for a family member and not knowing exactly what they had to offer I asked. The staff was extremely patient because half of the things they do I had no idea existed. I was really impressed with the procedure where they sculpt your body with some type of cold. I believe the gift certificate is going to go over very very well. They hired a man in a suit to do the negotiating with you now for any expensive services other than the spa.. he takes you into a room and "sells" you on the place before giving you pricing.. it's honestly the most odd thing I've ever experienced! My friend and I purchased a groupon deal here ($250 for one syringe of Juvederm in the lips). First let me start off by saying that the only reason I gave this place 2 stars and not one is because the front desk ladies are really nice and also the place is absolutely immaculate and beautifully decorated. I'm in the business of skin care and what not myself, so I'm trying to be as fair as possible here while also telling the truth. So everything started off great! As I stated, the front desk ladies are very nice and the facility is gorgeous. After waiting about 25 minutes after our appointment time, we were taken back by Dr. Horioglu. He was nice enough to let us (2 girls) go in together. Sometimes places like this don't allow that, so that was nice. My friend sat down on the table while I sat in a chair off to the side. He was nice about explaining everything, expectations according to our individual lip shape/size, etc. We talked about it for a few minutes and then he applied numbing cream to both of us. Just for the record, the procedure was pretty much painless for both me and my friend. Just a little sting when the needle went in. Now around that time is when things started to go downhill. He kept reiterating OVER AND OVER how he "loses money on the groupon","doesn't make any money on the groupon", and etc. He also tried to push Restylane on us, which we didn't want to use. He then went on to explain that it would only last about 3 months and then we would have to come back and spend $500 on another syringe. Ummmmmmm...no. Juvederm is supposed to last at least 6 months. That information is simply not correct. Google it. Fast forward to the next day. Both of our lips look great! Very swollen and VERY bruised, but great. Over the next couple of days, we both realize that our actual lip volume is slowly returning back to normal. So we still have major bruising, not only on our lips but on our actual FACE as well, and our lips feel lumpy and hard in some places, but our lips are almost exactly the same.........Riiiiiightttttt. No. Do not go here. I don't know if it's because we were "young," or if it was because we purchased a groupon, but I wouldn't recommend this place to my worse enemy. When I would go out in public and walk around with my boyfriend, people would stare at us. They probably thought that he beat me! That's how bad the bruises look/looked. Now it's been almost a week, still have minor bruising on my lower lip, going into the chin area. And again, my lips look exactly the same size at this point. Upon doing some research, we figured out that he must've injected the syringe into our actual skin/faces, causing it to re-absorb into our bodies very quickly. Like, within a week, quickly. Why would he waste the whole syringe like that? Actually, two. Beyond me. He probably KNEW we were going to come back and spend $500. Nope. Thankfully, I was able to get some (not all) of my money back from groupon. In the meantime, I will take my business elsewhere and make sure to tell my local clients not to go here for such a procedure. read more

I found this place via Groupon for 1 syringe of Juvederm. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of the staff. They are very friendly on the phone and in person. Let me say I had no real issues with the outcome (not a botched job or anything) but I have had a lot better, as the results are satisfactory. Dr H numbed my lips with an amazing topical anesthetic and proceeded to inject my lips creating volume. I do not have thin lips to begin with and this is my second time getting fillers. The Dr told me I was looking too much into it and this is not what I would want to hear as a customer having had a previous AMAZING, detailed service elsewhere, where they addressed every asymmetry. Every time I brought up a concern I had, he just brushed it off as if I had issues. If you are looking for more shape and symmetry rather than just volume- do not come here. After 6 months of regular laser treatments to upper lip, chin and bikini area, I am extremely dissatisfied with the results. I am shaving, tweezing and waxing as much as ever before The technician who did my treatments seemed quite inexperienced.... I may have been her first client. She clearly needed more supervision to obtain decent results with complicated equipment. When I called to speak to the manager, of course she was not available to speak with me about re-doing or extending the treatments, but insisted i needed maintenance treatments. If the initial work had removed the hair, maybe maintenance treatments would-be warranted, but they never worked in the first place. I find the attitude in the spa to be disagreeable. I was kept waiting for my appointments each and every time. Their push to sell products and further services is very aggressive. This spa seems a bit over priced. Yes it does house licensed massage therapists that do a decent job, but I feel that $75 for an hour massage is a bit much, especially extra with a good tip to your masseuse. I guess I'd be more understanding if this was in Manhattan, but not Carle Place, Long Island.
