I would suggest parking on E. Live Oak St, rather than on San Gabriel. Besides the fact that San…read moreGabriel is a super busy street that backs up with traffic, if you decide to buy a bigger item that needs to be picked up from their back warehouse, you have easier access to get in, instead of circling your car around the block. The prices here, in-person can be better and even more discounted than on their website, depending on what inventory they need to clear out. There are lots of chairs, like office chairs, gaming chairs, dining chairs, bar stools, that you can get for a really, really, REALLY good price. I'm not gonna say they're the best quality, but I think it's perfect if you need to quickly furnish a place on a budget, ie - a college student needing a desk, chair, etc for a dorm or an apartment. I would say, try sitting on the stuff in store before you buy to test it's durable enough for your usage. You have to imagine that stuff this cheap is built as mail-order stuff for skinny Asians. I picked up a side table that's lasted the better part of a year, so far. I was SUPER tempted to get a fluffy cat tree for $20. Some cool selection of outdoor furniture. And even some random household things, like a clothes steamer. The thing is, I get the sense that their inventory is rather randomized. But I think you'll find some cool deals or something useful for a bargain if you take stroll and walk around. Their pricing puts a lot of other "outlet" warehouse furniture stores to shame.

TL;DR: Cheap quality stuff at low prices…read more Saw this place advertised on some social media video and it's kind of close by and we were looking for outdoor furniture so we decided to go take a look. The room is pretty big so thought there was going to be a lot of good stuff. Looking around the place it became quickly apparent that this stuff is really just overstock stuff. Sitting in the chairs and feeling the fabric of the furniture you can tell the quality is somewhat lower which is reflected in the prices. After walking around for a few minutes we decided to leave. The prices are good but the stuff just seems disposable. Like you just replace them every year. We just didn't find anything worthwhile and the social media post was obviously an exaggeration and just had to pass. Only go if you want low prices over quality. But we had to pass.

Funny, I've never noticed its plaza name until my most recent visit last weekend. This plaza is so small. Parking is very limited. I think I can count the number of parking spaces with all my 10 fingers... okay, maybe I may need a few of my toes, too LOL. Com Tam Kieu (CTK) gets super busy... full house packed! I really don't know where people park when they are dining at CTK. Perhaps nearby street parking. Whenever I come here, I've gotten lucky to park in the lot. Thank you! Please note each parking spot is tiny. I'm pretty sure they are all compact size. Be careful when you're driving into the space and pulling out of the space. Besides CTK, other tenants are the dentistry, law office, donut shop, and Indian cuisine. There is a 2nd floor... not sure who and/or what is up there. I may not need the other services, but maybe I will drop by the donut shop one day.

So be careful if you park in the front lot. I prefer to park in the back lot because the parking spaces are much wider and bigger. Prepandemic, this plaza was very busy. Both lots would constantly be full, so many people would park on the street. This plaza is brightly lit at night; however, there are no security guards patrolling the plaza.

Tonight was a perfect example of why. I watched a manager open a register, help one customer, and then close it--even as the line kept growing to about 15 people. That left just one associate handling a long line, while another cashier was tied up helping a group with a large purchase. Instead of jumping in to help during a busy moment, the manager was on her phone, then emptying trash behind the registers and adjusting carts--completely ignoring the line of waiting customers. The only bright spot was Carlos, who was working incredibly hard and treating customers with patience and professionalism despite the situation. He deserves recognition for how he handled things. It's frustrating because TJ Maxx has great products, but the lack of customer care at this location makes it not worth the stop.

The temple city location is clean. That's something that NOT every Daiso has. I been to most and I can tell a clear difference from a shop that doesn't organize vs one who does. The older asian lady in glasses is always super nice. She handles customers really well and I hope shes the manager because thanks to her this store is one of the well stocked stores I go to. I always opt out of self check-out because I buy a lot of items and sometimes I may overscan an item, so its always still helpful to have a cashier whos ready to scan for you and bag your items up. The birthday card selection is very limited at this Daiso. I didn't browse around for anything else. This location had one cashier on duty.
