My Fiancee and I were in the area for the weekend, visiting my Father and his wife. On Sunday, they took us for a drive to see spots they like and find fun/interesting. It was okay, until they took us to this spot! I absolutely loved this spot! Walking in was like having warm memories of my Mom taking me to the Panaderia when I was small, wrap their arms around me. It was an instant Awe moment. I loved the displays of fresh baked Pan Dulce / Choncha breads and cookies, etc. This is a definite treasure in their community. Everything even how it was decorated was just warm memories. The young lady at the cashier was personable and super friendly. I can't say enough. I've been coming here for.. geeze, I don't know how long. At least since my boys were little, sooooo maybe 20+ years? my go-to is the cream cheese/chorizo and cream cheese/jalapeno bread. I will stay eating one the whole day. Centrally located in the heart of Coachella, right across the street from the old City Hall / Veterans Park and a 1 min walk from the ibrary. We were in town for the weekend renting a Airbnb and we wanted to have sweet bread and bread rolls. Bakery reminded me of old school family owned bakery and the workers took care of us. I've been going to Las Tres Conchitas since I was a little girl. It's my favorite thing about the city of Coachella and ever since I moved to where I live now, what I miss the most. My grandparents live down the street from the panadería and whenever they have the opportunity to come visit they always bring back pan dulce. They even send it across the country for my younger cousins! The staff has always been so friendly and make you feel welcome. No one and I mean no one can make a concha or bolillo like they do. And the best thing about this panadería is the smell of bread as soon as you walk in. It's like being wrapped up in a warm hug. If you ever come across Las Tres Conchitas, please go. The treats are so good! This is our new favorite spot when visiting the area. The staff are so friendly and the Conchitas were fresh baked and still warm. A little overwhelming when you initially walk in because there is bread literally everywhere and not everything is labeled with what it is. Needs to be more organized. Tried many things we took home. All were good. No idea what some of them were. My favorite was the pumpkin empanada. They had more spice to them than the usual pumpkin empanadas which I liked. read more

Their bread is always fresh too! I honestly do not know how much they are a piece, I just grab a bunch and my total comes out cheap. I believe they sell Champurrado and Hot Chocolate during the season. Before they only accepted cash but finally upgraded and you can use your debit/credit card! They charge a fee though. My husband loves their conchas. I've tried shopping elsewhere closer to home but I can never fool him lol. We had our baby shower this weekend and he suggested we ordered our cakes from this place. This place is terrible. Every time we have gone the bread is old and hard. It's incredible how nasty this bread is. I remember growing up and this was awesome bread but now it's sucks so bad. It's so nasty not even my dog would eat it. It's sad to see this place go down the drain. The owner needs to sell it or hire someone to run it correctly. The women at the counter are very inviting & polite, & their bread reflects the care & attentiveness they put into their craft. I've been coming here since i was a child and I'm 30. This is the only place where we get our mexican bread...other places around here just dont compare (or anywhere else I've been to for that matter). The pigs, conchas, and small bolillos are the best. And if you get there at the right time you can catch them bringing out the bread straight out out of the oven so it's nice and warm and soft. And the smell when you walk in....ahh...it's one of the best smells ever...the smell of sweet sweet bread. It's a tiny store so yes they only take cash, big deal. I make sure i get cash prior to heading there. I cant speak for the donuts and cakes but the bread is delicious. read more
