Guizado pastry

Excellent local bakery. The first time I stopped was while driving by on my way to work. Never noticed it before. So glad I stopped. Everything has been amazing. I've been there about 6 times now. Had every different tamale they offer. All of them very good. Tasty and fresh. Tried multiple different baked goods. Soft, moist and delicious. This last time I tried the guizado pastry. So delicious, hot and fresh. The bakery is always clean and smells amazing. The service is super. Friendly, helpful, hard working. Definitely a place we'll stop by often for food and baked goods.

Valentine cakes

Ordered these Valentine cakes for my coworkers. They always have them in stock but look like hostess cupcakes. They changed them up for me today, and they were a huge hit! Everyone loves them, so tasty and love that cream filling. Thank you!!!

Really wanted to like this place because I am all for supporting family businesses. We went in at 8 o'clock in the morning. Nobody greeted us upon entering & most of the pastries appeared to be from the day before. The cheese danish was horrible! Tasted like sickening sweet vanilla pudding in the middle of the danish, not cheese! Other pastries were simply okay & more expensive than other bakeries. The cheese & jalapeño tamales were decent, they used mozzarella which seems strange but it was tasty although I've had much better. Will I be back? I would say I probably won't return.

Outside of the bakery looks ok but the cashier was so rude to us and not helping us at all for first timer.

I picked up an assortment of pan dulce--I'm not sure of all the names, but every single one was delicious.

Yum! I got the 4-pack for about $19, and I have no regrets. My favorite was the coconut. The…read morevanilla frosting was so fluffy and perfectly not too sweet. The cake was amazing, it had some sort of coconutty filling that made it really moist, kind of like a tres leches cake. The toffee chocolate was my second favorite. The chocolate frosting was perfect and not too sweet. They also had some gluten-free and keto options. Service was great, and it looked like they put the cupcakes together on the spot, which took a few minutes to prepare. I'll definitely be back for the yummy coconut cupcakes.

Somewhere between sunstroke and sugar cravings in the desert, we found ourselves at Tiffany's Sweet…read moreSpot... and honestly, bless the heat for guiding us there!!! We went in "just to look" (famous last words) and walked out with 3 cupcakes: vanilla bean, red velvet, and salted caramel toffee... plus a mocha tres leches parfait because self-control is seasonal and clearly out of stock!! Every single bite was the kind of good that makes you close your eyes mid-chew and ignore whoever's talking to you. But let's discuss the real star: the frosting!!! I was fully prepared for standard whipped cream or buttercream vibes, and instead got this cloud-like, silky situation that tasted rich but somehow light enough to justify eating an entire cupcake without emotional consequences. Tiffany herself let me in on the secret.... it's Italian meringue buttercream. So basically, classy buttercream that went to finishing school. Tiffany is also an absolute gem... warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she's baking up. You can taste the love (and the butter, but mostly the love)!!! If you're in the desert and your sweet tooth starts whispering reckless ideas, listen to it. And definitely support this family-owned local spot. We'll be back for "research purposes" and to satisfy our sweet tooth!!

If you find yourself in North Indio, there is one spot you absolutely cannot skip. After a family…read moresushi dinner this past Sunday night (April 19th), we decided to see if the local hype around Better Ice Cream was justified. Spoiler alert: it definitely is. First Impressions & Atmosphere The moment we walked in, the first thing I noticed wasn't just the display cases--it was how clean the place was. You could literally smell the freshly mopped floors, and every table was shining. It's rare to see a high-traffic dessert spot look that sharp on a busy weekend night. Service Under Pressure There was only one young lady behind the counter, and despite the place being packed, she was a total pro. She was incredibly attentive and managed to get everyone's order--including our group's--completed flawlessly without breaking a sweat. That kind of service is hard to find, especially when a shop is that busy. The Main Event: The Flavors The ice cream itself was amazing, but the real showstopper for me was the Orange Julius. It isn't pictured, but it was the highlight of the night. One sip took me straight back to my childhood--it was perfectly creamy, frothy, and hit all the right nostalgic notes. The Verdict Whether you're finishing off a meal or just looking for a weekend treat with the family, this place delivers. Great vibes, spotless environment, and top-tier treats. Pro Tip: If you're looking for a trip down memory lane, get the Orange Julius. You will not be disappointed!

Also, there needs to be value. I could go to Frostee Freeze or McDonalds and get a shake for much less money. 2) Why no prices on the menu. This would help people decide and know the value of what they are getting. Also, it would be nice to have descriptions of all the items on the menu- raspados, locitos, etc.

I believed the hype and my expectation fell flat below disappointed…read more Upon entering, the theme is a cool eclectic, retro style, but was all over the place. Almost like a collector of things needed a place to display memoriablia. The place is called Coco Freeze Ice Cream Shop but they only have 8-10 flavors to choose from- maybe less... but definitely not more. We ordered a hot dog, corn, and ice cream. The counter person was nice and explained the difference between items like a volcano corn vs extreme corn. She also provided some suggestions. When the food/ice cream finally arrived, it was just okay. My ice cream portion on the super churros was small. It's one churro cut into 3 with melon baller sized ice cream scoops. The churro was a ready made like churro that was probably micro heated. The extreme hot cheetos corn was gross. The cheetos were stale, the corn was canned and tasted old and so did the cheese. No amount of lemon and tajin could fix it. The ice cream was good, but probably because it was Thriftys. The save was the hotdog. It's a polish dog, that was partially heated through, but decent enough to eat. Oh! Before I forget... a small little boy ran behind the counter and was playing back and forth from behind the counter. Word to the wise, that's an OSHA issue waiting to happen. People seem to like this place. I'm guessing mine was just an isolated bad experience. However, it was enough for me to decide it wont be a place for me to come back to. Just an fyi - there are no prices on the menu.$27 for 2 ice cream items, a hot dog and corn.
