I stopped by Panderia Del Pueblo while visiting La Quinta, and the moment I walked up to the door, the aroma coming from inside let me know I was in for something good. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away with friendly, professional customer service. I picked up an assortment of pan dulce--I'm not sure of all the names, but every single one was delicious. I also tried both the sweet and savory tamales, and they were amazing as well. Service was horrible! I was second in line waiting to pay for my pan dulce (pan was okay, nothing great) when an elderly man walked in asked for some gelatin in the case. Another person behind the counter gave him his order, he then proceeded to the side of cashier. Once the lady ahead of me paid the cashier helped the man. I asked ( in Spanish )"no line?" Excellent local bakery. The first time I stopped was while driving by on my way to work. Never noticed it before. So glad I stopped. Everything has been amazing. I've been there about 6 times now. Had every different tamale they offer. All of them very good. Tasty and fresh. Tried multiple different baked goods. Soft, moist and delicious. This last time I tried the guizado pastry. So delicious, hot and fresh. The bakery is always clean and smells amazing. The service is super. Friendly, helpful, hard working. My bread was full of mold inside. I am pregnant and the thought of eating something moldy is very unsettling. I only had the bread for a little over 2 days. The other bread I had from here was good but the mold was enough for me to not want to visit again. read more

Really wanted to like this place because I am all for supporting family businesses. We went in at 8 o'clock in the morning. Nobody greeted us upon entering & most of the pastries appeared to be from the day before. The cheese danish was horrible! Tasted like sickening sweet vanilla pudding in the middle of the danish, not cheese! Other pastries were simply okay & more expensive than other bakeries. The cheese & jalapeño tamales were decent, they used mozzarella which seems strange but it was tasty although I've had much better. Will I be back? I would say I probably won't return. read more

I'm not really a big fan of pan, but I visited this place while my son was in surgery @ Indio Surgery Center in the same parking lot and good lord they have some delicious pan. I highly recommend the chipotle y jamon! The staff were super friendly and very helpful. I ended up taking home 3 boxes of pan for my family. Next time I will definitely try the tamales because I'm sure they will be delicious. read more
