This is a nice casual Mexican restaurant located in the heart of the Hotel Zone. They start the meal off with free nachos. We had the very tasty fajitas with chicken here and their portions are huge. They also make very good and strong margaritas. Prices are standard for this area, which means not that cheap! This place was blasting the music and is surrounded by other bars and restaurants, so if you are looking for someone quiet, this is definitely not it. This place is AMAZING !!!!!! Their portions were HUGE! I've been looking for a place to have ceviche. And let me tell you, this placed is it. I have just two days left here in Cancun and I will definitely be returning here again before I leave. My husband had the chicken fajitas and he really enjoyed it. Stumbled upon this place when a guy approached us while walking down the block. That should have been our first red flag. The restaurant was empty except for us two, yet our food still took around 40 min to finally come out. My stuffed pepper dish was pretty decent. My partner got shrimp tacos which wasn't very good, mostly batter not shrimp. The last part that was super sketchy and we didn't love was that the waiter told us that their credit card machine was broken once we asked for the check and asked if we could pay in cash. We had left our extra cash in the hotel since we were walking around before stopping in this spot so we told them we would have to come back if the machine was broken. The waiter was insistent we go to the atm and he could come with us. We told him that would not be possible at all and if their machine was down they should have told us ahead of time. We then said, ok, let's try the card one more time and on the first try the other waiter got it to work. "It seemed to fall out the first time", our waiter said. The situation was super sketchy. So there are (at least) two restaurants by this same name in Cancun but this is the one in the party zone. The food isn't amazing but it's pretty darn good plus our service was over the top terrific. Depending on your mood, sitting outside or inside makes a huge difference. Inside, you've got a fairly quiet restaurant. Outside, you've got a front row seat to the drunks and vendors and zanies walking this area. That's what we wanted and, even though there weren't any outside tables available, they quickly and happily set one up at our request. The margaritas are tangy and clearly homemade (no mix). The micheladas come in a stein as large as a Buick and are fresh and spicy. The horchata was freshly made, too, and delicious. The guacamole--ordered at the start--did not appear until after our meals were served which was a bit of a bummer but it was also homemade and very good. For our meals, we split the regular sized mariscada with shrimp (the dish everyone seems to get based on the pictures on Yelp) and a ceviche that was MASSIVE. Neither dish was spectacular but there was plenty of food, it all tasted fresh, and it was all tasty. Aside from the dry and boring salad portion, The mariscada is a fun dish and came with rice, beans, fantastic grilled peppers, and two differently prepared shrimp servings. After biking in 100% humidity we were desperate to eat in any air conditioned spot regardless of how good the food would be. Unfortunately the other shops nearby were all closed due to Covid and weren't opening up for another couple days. Luckily, one of the waiters flagged us over with promises of cool a/c and we're so glad he did! The food and drink were delicious. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos and frozen margarita and my husband got a variety of different tacos. The wait stuff were friendly and courteous and even helped my husband find a spot to park our bikes. Was looking for some fresh grilled fish tacos in the main party zone in Cancun and found this place from fellow yelpers. If your looking for grilled fish or shrimp tacos this is the place. Fish was fresh and delicious. I ordered the garlic mojo de ajo and ajillo grilled fish tacos. My favorite of the two was the ajillo I liked the chili under the fish (was very mild which was great). Santos the waiter explained all the fish taco varieties and I stayed away from the spicy ones for sure. Close walk from the aloft with lots of other businesses around. Friendly waiter that can explain all the dishes. I did my research first so I kinda know what I want already. The Shrimp Ceviche is bit different from the TexMex, served without lots of juice in a bowl, instead on a plate. I was here mainly for the seafood combo plate. Since the regular size is too much for two of us, we went for the half size. The price do change based on the season. Some of photo shows 500 peso for the full size, I saw 650 during January. Overall taste of that is good. It has rice, salad, grilled peppers and 3 flavors of shrimps - regular grilled, garlic flavor and cilantro sauced. I like the garlic one the best. You can mix them and eat like a mix salad, or wrap them with soft tortillas and add some chipotles sauce. read more

We finally was able to try this place out last min after shopping at the Mexican outlet. The servers waved us down and I was like yessss been wanting to try this place out. We were only trying to get a small meal but boy the super pascadilla platter looked so good ! So we got 2 beers along with the meal. Lemme tell you our server was probably one of the best I've seen in my restaurant life. He puts a lot of servers around the world to shame. The food was great. The fish tostada was tossed with a lot of onions which I didn't like before, but its flavor was extremely balanced and good. My friend's mojito was brought in a super big glass. The boss, if he was, was very nice to us. He offered us free tortillas and salsa, and two shots. He talked with us about everything including how to drink the shots in the Mexican way. If I could, I'd give this place zero stars for the integrity of the place. Our waiter (can't remember his name) was so nice and attentive up until he presented us with the bill. He explains to us the charges but goes on to state that tip is not included. When I see that a 15% "propina" or tip was included, he says that the "tip" on the bill goes to the bartender and chef and not him (rolls eyes). In addition while trying to get out of there quickly, I accidently forget my card and then come to find there are more charges at the resturant and elsewhere. I'd skip this restaurant and find another Mexican spot to eat and drink at. The food was OK but nothing special. There was really no flavor to the shrimp or fish that we ordered. Very good place to eat if you're a tourist in the area and not wanting to stray far from your hotel for a nice dinner! Be prepared to wait a little bit for your food but overall we enjoyed our meal here greatly. The prices for everything was pretty good considering the other restaurants in the area. We started off our meal with a margarita and Pina colada which we split among three people - the sizes of the drinks were very generous. We highly recommend the Pina Colada!! I will start off by saying Santos and the other gentleman (I forgot his name) were very nice and friendly. They had to be both the waiter and the person out in front of the restaurant trying to get people to come in and have a meal. With that being said, they were kind of back and forth, running in and out and not as attentive as they should've/could've been, but they tried. As far as the food, the chicken soup was delicious. In addition to the chicken, it had diced onions, tomatoes and green peppers in it. The entree was OK at best. It didn't seem too authentic to me. They also don't give you a good size portion for the price in my opinion. If I didn't have the soup before my entree, I probably would've still been hungry.
