Disappointing Stay - Would Not Recommend…read more Our experience with this vacation rental, "Live Blissfully," was extremely disappointing and concerning. We arrived at the property around 8:30-9:00 PM on a Friday, only to find that the door code provided did not work. After calling the contact, we were given a new code--which turned out to be the previous guest's code. This was unsettling, as it meant the previous guests still had access to the home during our stay. Upon entering, we were immediately hit with a stale, musty odor reminiscent of an old, poorly maintained property. The house was clearly run down: carpets and some furniture were visibly stained, flooring was scuffed and peeling, baseboards and moldings were chipped, and the overall cleanliness was far below expectations. The home clearly had not been given a proper deep clean in some time. Within minutes of settling in, we found two large cockroaches in the kitchen pantry. Over the course of our stay, we encountered a total of four roaches. This was incredibly unpleasant. When I contacted Rebl Rentals to report the situation, I made it very clear that our guests were terrified to even stay in the home due to the roaches and the overall condition of the property. Despite this, their response was that they would "send someone out in the morning." There was no urgency, no empathy--just a dismissive, delayed response to a serious health and comfort issue. Eventually, Rebl Rentals sent out an exterminator who sprayed chemicals inside the house without any warning, which made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable being in a chemically treated environment. When I raised concerns, I was told the roaches probably got in because we "left a door open"--even though we had just arrived and found one dead on the floor. To top it off, after the technician left, we were greeted with a bottle of Raid and a few bags of chips left on the kitchen counter--as if that was an acceptable solution to a roach infestation. It was honestly insulting. The issues didn't end there. Half the house had no hot water, and the main fridge wasn't cold enough to keep drinks chilled. When a technician came to inspect the fridge, they told us it was "working fine" because there was ice in the freezer. But the freezer wasn't the problem--the refrigerator section was clearly not functioning properly and never reached a safe or usable temperature. The included golf club putter was completely bent and unusable, which felt symbolic of the general neglect throughout the property. Then came the final straw. Two days after we checked out, I received an extra charge on my credit card for "fireplace use"--even though we absolutely did not use the indoor wood-burning fireplace. Rebl Rentals sent a photo of ashes in the fireplace, along with a photo of the very clear "Do Not Use" sign posted above it--proof that we followed the rules. We were still accused and denied any resolution. This charge felt not only retaliatory--coming just after I filed complaints and requested a refund--but also fraudulent. It was 90 degrees in the desert; we had no use for a fireplace, and no way of even getting firewood. I requested pre-inspection photos or video proof of us bringing in wood (which we didn't), and received no reply. After our stay, I looked up reviews for this specific property and discovered that many other guests reported the exact same issues: pest problems, unclean conditions, broken appliances, and suspicious charges after checkout. Clearly, Rebl Rentals and the property owner are aware of these problems and continue to do nothing about them. This stay was unacceptable from start to finish. All I want was some sort of compensation and my money returned from the false fireplace charge. The property is misrepresented, poorly maintained, and the customer service was dismissive, accusatory, and unprofessional. I would strongly advise others to avoid "Live Blissfully."

She neglected my home, and when her bill was received, my assistant immediately paid it. When I flew to Scottsdale. , thinking my home was in good hands. I found my home to be in miserable condition. A $10.000 clock was missing, a police report was filed, and coincidently the clock showed up at Anessa's house, and was returned. All I can say is, be present when and if you employ her. The floor was filthy and had food on the floor behind the table, the dishes were dirty, the blinds in one room were broken so unless you wanted to be up with the sun, the room was unusable. 2 showers leaked water as the molding was broken...Worst of all was the ants all over the kitchen floor and spiders in one bedroom. We could not walk barefoot because of how many there were. Yes, we took pictures of all the issues and sent it to management. They did offer to spray for ants, however there was no non-toxic options and I did not want my family, which includes 3 young children, breathing that in. We just kept killing them. There was no offer to clean the home, fix the broken items or refund the greater than $500.00 cleaning fee, given that we spent hours having to clean the home and rid it of bugs. We even have picture of the bites. All Jen would say was that this would be resolved for the next renter, which does US no good. She also incorrectly stated that we refused to let them fix these issues, which is a lie. Landscapers were there for hours one of the days, the jacuzzi maintenance company was there one of the days. The only refusal was for a toxic ant spray. She was highly unhelpful, borderline rude and arrogant and clearly has no concern for how the renters experience is. The home is a beautiful property, however was not prepared for our arrival at all, despite booking weeks in advance. We were even given the wrong code to enter. The entire experience was stressful and the attitude and response from Jen is what made it that much worse. I will be sure to avoid any property managed by this company in the future.

Besides that, going back to the house being 86 DEGREES and her not caring or being apologetic at all. It was finally fixed 6:30 pm on Saturday, but it probably took until 8pm to cool from 86 degrees to 73. Not once were we rude to her. We could've been under these circumstances. Sorry your ego is fragile and you're unable to take constructive criticism. A woman of your age, I would expect a bit more professionalism and maturity. House is cute tho! Good job decorating! PS. After applying for the property, she spoke with our references and immediately sent us a lease to sign. On that lease, the security deposit was more than what she told us, there was no outline of the utilities breakdown, a weird section calling out my husband's employment. We asked for clarity to which she responded "we will not be responding." And then she never answered a call, email or text again. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional.

This was completely dishonest and excessive. She charged for cleaning of curtains because they had dog hair on them. Well when you allow 2 dogs to reside, sometimes there is dog hair after 3 ys. she charged for the screen. She said a cabinet in the bathroom was broke....this was a blatant lie. She said paint needed touching up. The house needed to be painted when i moved in which I have pictures of. She kept a $300.00 cleaning fee which i agreed to but that was not enough for her. I warn anyone who considers renting from her. not to. Really sad that people like her continue get away with this conduct. A real shame. Pls do not ever rent from her. You will be sorry like me.
