    Pablano Bowl

Two of us came for an unplanned, spontaneous supper. I ordered the Poblano Bowl, described as a bed of sweet potato fries, street corn, poblano pepper, bean mix, charred grape tomato, salsa, crema, quesa fresco and guacamole. It was really very good and I would certainly recommend it. All went well with a glass of Argentinian Malbec. Our server, Madison, was awesome. Warm and friendly and helped make it a great and satisfying experience.

I call it my usual: Coconut shrimp, yam fries and hot sauce added to the sweet potato fries sauce. Round it off with a healthy pint.

We started with a really nice waitress that was knowledgeable and helpful. We asked a few questions about some of the dishes but always end up ordering the same thing. (My wife does as well) Coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries. Both of us. I've probably had them 20 times by now and they are always hot, perfectly cooked and delicious. As I've said before, I hate coconut and will run for miles to avoid it everywhere but at this place. When I was younger I would probably have ordered a burrito as a follow up act but in my 50's, the old boiler just doesn't have the capacity. If you prize great food that is not cooked until after you order it, this is the place.

I like the style of the logo on these nifty looking glasses.

It may have looked bleak outside but boy did a slight warm breeze immediately put itself up to barre out the prairie chill when my friend and went inside Las Palapas this past Saturday evening. Tropical charm (as mention on the restaurant's website) certainly describes the ambiance of the interior. There is a keen underwater theme gently drifting about on the walls and the chairs in form of large aquatic decors and even the the chair and some of the tables have this theme adorning them. After being greeted by the hostess the two of us were taken to table that gave us a good view of a good part of the restaurants. Mojitos are one of favorite drinks to get so that's what I order while my friend took a Pina Colada, both of which were brought over in glasses with some bright colors splashed on and served with paper straws which is the first time I've experienced this in an dining establishment and no I didn't get a visual experience to see it disintegrate into the drink As soon as we had a sip each of our drinks we were famished enough that we go straight to get our orders taken: a Chilied Pork Enchilada plate for myself and a Big Burrito for him. My friend's heaping sized Burrito came with a side of Mexican rice and his selection of beans. Both of us chose the refried beans for our sides and they went well our meals. My enchillada with the shredded braised pork filled was to die for. I just loved how the meat was so tender and just melted in my mouth with every bite and paired off with the refrien beans and the corn tortilla, the flavors mixed up well in my mouth. I definitely like being at Las Palapas and the make-believe underwater tropical dining experience was an experience to enjoy before the Christmas day on a cold Saskatoon night.

What a very unique ambiance. Very mexican with the bright colors and even a massive crucifix and rosary on the wall. There are several different vibes happening - patio, tiki bar, mexican adobe shack. They have amazing margaritas and for a party of 4 you can get the tower. The meals were okay. Not stellar or memorable. But I did enjoy the restaurant. During COVID order you can order curbside or dine local.

The highlight of Las Palapas is the atmosphere. I love the colourful and warm interior. They've also got great virgin daiquiris. The food is hit and miss, and I miss some of their old menu items, but generally good enough for an occasional visit.

Nice ambiance, good music and great furnishings. Makes you feel like you're in Mexico. Food was tasty and one of the best Mojitos we've had.

In effect to…read moredistract us and lift our spirits me and my dad decided to come to Dylan and cams for a bite and a distraction. We arrived after sundown, we were greeted and ordered our food. I was asked for an ID, my dad explained that i don't have ID on me and that im 18. She then proceeded to tell us we can't eat inside because I am underage. This part was of course understandable and we respected. My dad asked where we could wait for our takeout, suggesting beside the cash registers. She told us to wait outside the business. We were both shocked, especially since we weren't asking to be seated or dine in and just to stand inside for 5 minutes for our takeout. My dad questioned if this was necessary, and she firmly repeated that it was because I am underage. Despite the brief wait she insisted we wait outside. We stood in the cold with no jackets, feeling disrespected and unwelcome while everyone watched us from the windows inside. We were already grieving our dog passing so this situation did not help. We honestly felt humiliated and treated like dogs. When she brought the food out we asked if the sauces were included. She sighed and replied "well, we usually charge for those, but since it was such a hassle I'll grab you some" in past experiences here we've never been asked to pay for any sauces, and the only hassle was the situation she made unnecessary. She returned, clearly annoyed, and handed the sauce, and when my dad said thanked her, she rolled her eyes and said nothing. It was an incredibly disappointing experience and the food was not that good too. We were very disappointed since we previously enjoyed this restaurant. As a latino family we felt welcomed at one point for the food and atmosphere. Sadly this visit made us feel dismissed and disrespected. After speaking with family and friends who were experienced in the restaurant/ alcohol industry, they all agreed the way this situation was mishandled and asking us to wait outside was unreasonable and unprofessional. This experience reminded me that you never know what someone else is going through and that kindness and compassion comes first. We left feeling worse than we arrived. What was meant to be comforting outing during a time of grief only added to our sadness. I wish I had gotten the employees name, as this has bothered me ever since.

Best tacos in town! Real tacos like you'd get from a taco stand in Mexico. Lots of meat options and…read moresome veggie too. Really great salad too.
